Shi Zhan completely covered up the fact that Han Shuzhen was receiving treatment at the hospital. Even if the Xiao family found out about this place, they would not be able to find any information about Han Shuzhen.
When everyone was leaving the hospital, Shi Zhan invited Wu Youyou to come with him, but Wu Maoyan stopped him, saying that he was taking Youyou back to his place.
Shi Zhan frowned, feeling that it was a bit strange for Youyou, a young girl, to stay at her older brother's house. She was an adult, after all. He still asked Wu Youyou for her opinion.
"Youyou, I have an empty house that no one lives in. Isn't your mother coming to Beijing tomorrow? You two can move in together then!"
Wu Youyou thought this was for the best. If her mother came to Kyoto, it would be inconvenient for everyone to be crammed into her eldest brother's place. She looked at Shi Zhan gratefully.
"Thank you so much! I'll stay at your place for now!"
Wu Maoyan wanted to say something more, but Wu Youyou silenced him with a single look.
Although Wu Maoyan was unwilling, this was undoubtedly the best choice.
He followed Zhan and escorted Wu Youyou into the large apartment. As soon as Wu Youyou opened the door and went in, she was immediately struck by the enormous space.
The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and smelled wonderful. There were plenty of fruits and snacks, as well as fresh flowers; it looked as if it had just been set up. Wu Youyou looked at Shi Zhan, her tone somewhat surprised.
"Shi Zhan, is this a house that no one lives in?"
Shi Zhan felt a little embarrassed and asked the housekeeper to tidy up, saying that a friend was coming to stay temporarily. But the housekeeper went a little overboard with the tidying!
"Ah~~~ I know you've come to Kyoto, so you must need a place to stay. I just had Auntie make a simple arrangement!"
"You call this a simple job?"
Wu Youyou was somewhat suspicious.
She went to the bedroom and found that the four-piece bedding set had been changed to a pink doll-shaped women's dress, and the pajamas were all new. She then went to the kitchen and found that the kitchen utensils were also new. When she opened the refrigerator, she saw that it was piled high with food, and there were even size 36 slippers specially prepared for her at the door.
Wu Maoyan followed his younger sister and looked around as well. He found it amusing; Shi Zhan was quite attentive in his pursuit of her. Wu Maoyan glanced at Shi Zhan, his tone indifferent.
"Shi Zhan, I never knew you were such a thoughtful person. Alright, we've safely brought my little sister back here, shouldn't we be going now?"
Shi Zhan knew that Wu Maoyan was being wary of him, but he wasn't angry. Instead, he gave Wu Youyou a few instructions and then went downstairs with Wu Maoyan.
Looking at the comfortable environment, Wu Youyou was very happy. She took a shower, lay down on the bed, and fell asleep in less than a minute.
As dawn broke, Wu Youyou was still in bed. Her phone, which was on the bedside table, kept ringing. Half-asleep, she stretched out a slender arm from under the covers, groped around on the bedside table for a few moments, picked up her phone, and answered the call without even looking at it.
"Hey~"
"Youyou, I'm at the door. I've brought you breakfast!"
Upon hearing Shi Zhan's voice, Wu Youyou sat up abruptly, her voice tinged with panic.
"Wait a moment, I'll be right there!"
Shi Zhan stood at the door, glanced at the time on his wrist—7:30. Judging from Wu Youyou's voice, she seemed to still be sleeping. He wasn't in a hurry and waited quietly at the door.
Wu Youyou quickly washed up, splashing water all over the floor. She didn't even have time to put on makeup, so she simply put on a T-shirt and jeans and went to open the door.
A moment later, the door opened, and Shi Zhan saw a pretty and charming head come into view. He was instantly stunned. Wu Youyou's fresh and lovely appearance was truly stunning. Shi Zhan smiled naturally.
"I brought you breakfast. Breakfast is very important, so be sure to eat it on time."
Wu Youyou was in a hurry, feeling dizzy and disoriented, completely unaware of the time. She kept yawning and looked at Shi Zhan embarrassedly.
"What time is it now?!"
"It's already 7:30!"
"What? It's only 7:30, and you're here so early? I haven't had enough sleep yet!"
Wu Youyou looked at Shi Zhan, who had already walked in, and complained a little. He came so early, didn't he let people get any sleep? But she knew this was Shi Zhan's room.
Sigh, when you're under someone else's roof, you have to bow your head to some things!
She muttered behind Shi Zhan,
"Shi Zhan, thank you for bringing me breakfast. Please put it on the table first. This is your house, so please make yourself at home. I'm going to take a nap. It's only a few o'clock, which is a bit early for me!"
Wu Youyou yawned again and was about to leave the living room and return to her room when Shi Zhan grabbed her arm and pulled her back forcefully, trying to stop her from going into her room to sleep in.
Unfortunately, Shi Zhan slipped and lost his balance, falling backward.
Wu Youyou was about to enter the bedroom when she felt Shi Zhan stop her and pull her backward forcefully. Her feet slipped, and she was thrown backward by inertia.
Ah~~~
Startled, Wu Youyou realized it was too late; the loss of balance caused her to fall directly onto Shi Zhan.
And then a pair of soft lips touched two slightly cool lips. Wu Youyou's mind went blank for a moment, and her big eyes were blinking as she looked into a pair of deep eyes.
Shi Zhan never expected that he would be kissed by Wu Youyou. Although he didn't like being touched, Wu Youyou was no ordinary person, and Shi Zhan couldn't help but curl his lips upward.
Wu Youyou's heart was pounding wildly when she suddenly felt movement on her lips. Startled, she quickly scrambled off Shi Zhan.
