Chapter 646: Sobriety Makes People Painful (1/2)

Yun Qiao felt distressed when he heard what Zheng Jing said.

She knew that Zheng Yujing liked children. When He Yan was just born, she was so happy that she held He Yan in her arms and couldn't let go. She said that she would also give birth to a cute, beautiful and well-behaved baby like He Yan in the future.

Now he suddenly changes his words and says that he doesn't like children, but in fact he is just saying it to protect himself because he can't get what he wants.

Sometimes people cannot be too clear-headed, as being too clear-headed will cause them pain.

Yun Qiao could feel the pain in his friend's heart, and he also understood that behind this seemingly resolute plan was a broken heart.

She didn't try to persuade him any more, but just sighed softly and gently held Zheng Jing's hand.

From then on, Zheng Jing seemed like a completely different person.

She no longer focused all her attention on Ji Ping as she did before, but began to carefully manage her own career.

However, in front of Ji Ping, she was still gentle and considerate, and even often showed weakness and acted coquettishly towards him. Her tenderness made Ji Ping feel that their relationship was not affected by his mother at all, and was still as sweet as before.

The film was about to start shooting, and Ji Ping was often busy. He didn't have the energy to guess Zheng Jing's inner thoughts, so he didn't notice the potential changes in Zheng Jing at all.

On July 20th, Ji Ping's film "Double Swallows" started shooting, and Zheng Jingjing successfully became the leading actress of the film as planned.

"Double Swallows" tells the story of a pair of twin sisters who went to the countryside in the Great Northern Wilderness. The story is dark and profound. In the end, one of them dies and the other goes mad, which requires extremely high acting skills from the actors.

Zheng Yujing played two roles, playing the twin sisters in "Double Swallows".

This was also a big challenge for her. After joining the crew, she soon had no time to think about unnecessary things. She put all her energy into carefully figuring out the role. When she had nothing to do, she would go to Ji Ping to discuss the play. When Ji Ping was not available, she would go to ask the seniors in the crew for advice.

When filming first started, her acting skills still had some flaws, and she had to do more than ten NGs before she could perform to Ji Ping's satisfaction.

However, she does have some talent in acting, and with her hard work, her acting skills have become more and more sophisticated after filming. NGs are no longer as frequent as when filming first started, and occasionally when her acting skills burst out, she can even get it right in one take.

Her efforts were seen by everyone, and gradually she won unanimous praise from the crew.

At first, everyone thought she had gotten into the crew through the backdoor because her husband, Ji Ping, was a director. Later, everyone agreed with Ji Ping's words, "This script was written specifically for Jing, so Jing should play the role."

When Zheng Yujing listened to him, he just smiled.

No one knows how much sadness is hidden behind her smile.

She is not a natural actor, and in order to play the twin sisters well, she has also made efforts that ordinary people can hardly make.

Halfway through the filming, there was a key scene where twin sisters had a fierce conflict on a stormy night. One of them died in despair, and the other went completely crazy.

In order to create a realistic atmosphere, the crew did not use artificial rainfall, but waited for a rainstorm and filmed the most realistic effects in a real storm.

Although the filming took place during the hottest summer of the year, the location was in the mountainous area in the suburbs. The filming time was also at night when the temperature was the lowest. When the cold rain soaked through the body again and again, people would still shiver unconsciously from the cold.

By the third take, Zheng Jingjing's lips had turned blue from the cold.

But her mood was still a little off. Ji Ping frowned and looked at the camera, feeling dissatisfied.

Zheng Jingjing was wrapped in a blanket, shivering as she huddled under a large umbrella. The cold raindrops were blown onto her by the wind, and she couldn't help shivering.

Ji Ping stood in front of her and talked to her seriously about the role, asking her not to express her emotions too openly. Her sister's madness was due to extreme repression that broke her heart. She should be more restrained when acting, and show clarity in despair instead of being crazy and completely irrational.

Zheng Yujing listened silently and nodded silently.

Ji Ping gave her ten minutes to digest it and to regroup her emotions.

Ten minutes were almost up, Ji Ping waved at Zheng Jing, signaling her to hurry over.

Zheng Yujing glanced at the torrential rain outside the tent, her teeth chattering subconsciously. She gritted her teeth, shed the blanket she was wearing, and stepped out of the tent, letting the cold water soak her body once again.

When filming resumed, Zheng Yujing put aside all distractions and devoted all her heart and soul to the play. At the same time, she also integrated her own pain and the complex feelings towards Ji Ping into the role.

The stagehand stood in front of the camera holding a clapperboard, and then Ji Ping shouted, "Begin." Zheng Jing immediately got into the mood after hearing that.

In the pouring rain, she played the role of an older sister, accusing her sister of pushing her into the abyss for the sake of the city. Her tears mixed with the rain flowed down, and the despair revealed in her red eyes made everyone present feel nervous.

The jib moved from near to far, the camera swayed quickly, the staff quickly changed her outer clothes, and when the camera moved from far to near again, she had switched to the state of a younger sister. She smiled with madness in her eyes, and her laughter penetrated the wind and rain, but revealed endless sadness, because she was scheming and did not hesitate to use her own sister as a stepping stone, but in the end she found that everything was just empty.

She gave everything she could, but the men didn't keep their promises.

At the very end, the younger sister lay in a pool of blood, looking up at the sky with a pair of empty eyes, the blood beneath her body meandering like a small river, flowing towards her sister in the distance.

At the end of the shot, there is a scream.

Short, yet full of despair.

"Card."

"Passed."

After the filming of this scene, there was a brief silence on the set. It was not because of anything else, but because Zheng Yujing's acting skills were astonishing.

The filming scene alone is so infectious that one can’t imagine how shocking the final editing effect will be.

After the photoshoot, Zheng Jing lay in the cold water, feeling as heavy as a stone. She didn't want to move at all, just closed her eyes and let the raindrops drip on her face.

Ji Ping saw the expression on her face through the camera, and panicked. He quickly snatched the umbrella from the assistant director's hand and ran towards Zheng Jing.

He quickly ran to Zheng Jingjing's side, squatted beside her, bent down and put his arms around her shoulders, helped her up from the ground, and asked her worriedly: "Jingjing, are you okay?"

Zheng Jing shook her head weakly: "I'm fine."

"But you don't look okay." Ji Ping's eyes were still filled with worry. "We've already finished filming, why are you still lying on the ground? Aren't you feeling cold?"

Zheng Yujing said, "It was too dramatic, and I just couldn't get out of my emotions for a while."

"That's all? It's not all that much. Not being able to express your emotions is no joke." Ji Ping said as he took off his coat and wrapped it around Zheng Jingjing.

Zheng Yujing waved her hand: "You don't have to take off your clothes for me. They are all wet and I won't feel warm even if I put them on."

"Wrap it up." Ji Ping hugged Zheng Jing and helped her up from the ground.

Zheng Jing leaned in his arms, their skin touching, feeling the warmth from his body, and for a moment she felt mixed emotions.

She was greedy for the tenderness of this moment, but she knew that it was just a short illusion.

His love was too fake, and was often mixed with deception.

Back in the tent, Zheng Jing returned Ji Ping's coat to him: "Sorry, I got your clothes wet too."

"It's okay, I'm not cold." Ji Ping took the clothes, casually put them on his arm, and said, "You should change into dry clothes first, and drink a bowl of ginger soup later, so you don't catch a cold."

Zheng Jing hummed "hmm" and was about to say something when she heard someone outside calling "Director". She pursed her lips and closed her mouth again.

Ji Ping didn't even bother paying attention to her, he turned around and hurried out.

With the help of the clothing teacher, Zheng Jing changed into dry clothes, then held the teacup and drank a cup of hot ginger soup, and her body finally gradually warmed up.

Then she waited in the tent until Ji Ping finished filming other people's scenes and went down the mountain with him.

I don't know how long it took, but the rain outside gradually subsided.

Zheng Yujing felt a little sleepy while waiting, so she walked out of the tent with an umbrella, wanting to check on Ji Ping's filming progress.
