Chapter 34 Shang Yan, don't call me that outside.

We arrived a bit late; the only seats left were in the first row and the second row.

Shang Yan pulled Zhou Ping to sit in the second row by the window.

"Zhou Ping, would you like to sit inside or outside?" Shang Yan put his schoolbag on the table and looked up to ask Zhou Ping.

"Outside," Zhou Ping said, placing Shang Yan's schoolbag by the window while sitting down next to the aisle.

Shang Yan looked out the window with great interest, but unexpectedly Zhou Ping didn't sit inside, which was a good deal for him.

A gust of wind rustled the yellow-green leaves of the poplar trees outside, and under the not-too-bright sunlight, Shang Yan stared at the scenery outside without moving.

It was obvious at a glance that he was mesmerized.

After tidying up the table and books, Zhou Ping turned around and saw Shang Yan propping his chin up and staring out the window in a daze.

The dappled sunlight fell on Shang Yan, giving him a golden glow.

Zhou Ping reached out and patted Shang Yan's hand, "Snap out of it, class is about to start."

Ring ring—

The school bell rang at that exact moment.

The first class was Chinese class, and the Chinese teacher walked in from the doorway carrying a textbook and a thermos.

During the lesson, Zhou Ping took careful notes.

Now it's senior year of high school, time is short and tasks are heavy, so even after class, there's not much noise in the classroom, mostly just the rustling sound of writing.

After class, Shang Yan lay on the table and looked at Zhou Ping, who was doing a test paper next to him.

Under his unwavering gaze, Zhou Ping gradually slowed down his writing speed.

His long eyelashes trembled slightly as he slowly turned to look at Shang Yan.

"What are you looking at me for?" he asked, feigning seriousness. "You haven't studied any of these lessons. Why aren't you taking out your textbooks and studying them?"

What's so interesting about him...?

The important thing now is to catch up on the lessons we haven't learned yet.

"Oh..." Shang Yan turned his head away, flipping through his textbook listlessly.

He had just finished the college entrance examination before he traveled through time, and he still remembers all the knowledge from his high school textbooks.

"Host, are you confident about the college entrance exam?" 019 asked with some concern, after all, Shang Yan hadn't studied for three years and his mind wasn't quite right yet. "What if I don't pass?"

"I was a science student who scored 666 points back then. Even if my brain isn't working so well now, as long as I don't have an attack, I should be able to get a decent score, right?" Shang Yan, who was being questioned, said that he was very smart.

However, he felt a bit uncertain about taking the college entrance exam again, but said, "Just give it my all and I won't regret it."

"Go for it, host!" 019 cheered Shang Yan on.

"Zhou Ping." Shang Yan nudged Zhou Ping's shoulder with a matter of course, and stopped when he noticed Zhou Ping's body stiffen slightly.

"Hmm?" Zhou Ping put down his pen, slowly exhaled, and turned to look at Shang Yan, who was sitting next to him.

"Where are your notes? Let me see them." Shang Yan reached out his hand, never one to stand on ceremony with Zhou Ping. "Let me copy them!"

Seeing that Shang Yan was about to exert his strength, Zhou Ping naturally took out all his resources to support him.

He rummaged through the table and pulled out six thick notebooks, handing them over. "All the notes for Chinese, Math, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are here."

"Ask me if you don't know."

"Okay." Shang Yan placed the notebook on his desk and then took out a clean notebook.

He already knew these high school courses by heart; what he needed now was to review them more thoroughly. Zhou Ping's notes were just what he needed.

The two of them picked up pens together; Zhou Ping was working on a test paper, while Shang Yan was writing notes.

Before we knew it, it was noon.

The two students, who were day students, planned to buy a pancake from a stall near the school gate.

"Zhou Ping, there are green peppers in this." Shang Yan took a bite of his own sandwich and then held it to Zhou Ping's mouth.

"..." Zhou Ping glanced at him silently, then took a bite, picked up the green pepper, and ate it.

Shang Yan didn't stand on ceremony and took a big bite out of the pancake in his hand. "Aunt Wang's pancake is so delicious!"

He gave a thumbs up, and Zhou Ping nodded silently.

"Zhou Ping, which school are you planning to apply to?" Shang Yan asked, sitting next to Zhou Ping while they ate their pancakes.

Zhou Ping glanced at Shang Yan and slowly said, "From a nearby city, closer to home."

"And you?"

Normally, Shang Yan would ask questions, and Zhou Ping would answer.

Zhou Ping rarely asked Shang Yan, or rather, Zhou Ping rarely took the initiative to speak.

"Shangjing City, I used to..." Shang Yan stopped speaking here. Before he transmigrated, he had applied to a university in Shangjing City...

However, before he could even begin his wonderful college life, he choked to death after secretly eating roast chicken.

Thinking of this, Shang Yan swallowed the last bite of the biscuit and said fiercely, "Just because you harmed me!"

Zhou Ping:?

Zhou Ping assumed that Shang Yan had fallen ill again and did not ask any further questions.

However, he silently kept Shang Yan's desire to study in Beijing in his heart.

It was three o'clock in the afternoon, during math class.

Zhou Ping was listening attentively to the lecture and taking notes. After finishing his notes, he glanced to the side.

She met Shang Yan's smiling gaze at first glance.

Zhou Ping:......

Zhou Ping's heart skipped a beat. After slowly shifting his gaze, he suddenly noticed that Shang Yan had placed his hand on his thigh under the table.

He took a deep breath, reached out his left hand, and firmly pressed down Shang Yan's hand, which was fidgeting on his thigh.

Then he asked in a low voice, "What's wrong?"

"Hehehe...wife." Seeing Zhou Ping place his hand on hers, Shang Yan's ears turned suspiciously red.

"Honey, you focus on the lesson, I won't bother you." Even though class is still in session, Shang Yan is quite obedient in his words.

“…” Zhou Ping’s brow twitched. He remembered that Shang Yan would become abstract every time it was three o’clock these days, and he felt a little tormented.

If I remember correctly, Shang Yan didn't return to normal until 5 PM.

They were still at school. Zhou Ping moved closer to Shang Yan, the two of them standing very close. "Shang Yan, don't call me that outside."

Others will misunderstand.

"..." Shang Yan gently nudged Zhou Ping. He was not happy at all. "Why? You responded to everything I called you a few days ago."

"That was at home." This is at school!

Moreover... even at home, when Shang Yan called him "wife," Zhou Ping never responded, but he would often respond when Shang Yan called him something else.

"Then... baby?" Shang Yan called out tentatively.

Zhou Ping:......

Zhou Ping shook his head again, "This won't work either."

Shang Yan was somewhat embarrassed and angry. He abruptly pulled his hand back from Zhou Ping's thigh and then lay down on the table without moving.
