Kui Ziyu rushed over upon hearing the commotion, just in time to meet Mao Junjie and the others who had just returned.
As everyone watched Mo Ye carry Kui Kui towards the guest room at the back of the hall, they didn't even have time to speak, and before they could even catch a glimpse of Mo Ye's clothes.
"Isn't that my daughter? Who is that man?!" Kui Ziyu was about to follow with a dark face, but was grabbed by the collar by Wuwei Zhenren.
"You yourself found a way to prolong your daughter's life, and now you don't even recognize her?"
Kui Ziyu's heart skipped a beat, and she froze on the spot.
Master Wuwei looked at his disciple's foolish appearance, gazed at the already disappeared figure, sighed, and said, "Defying fate is beyond our control."
Kui Ziyu pursed her lips, turned around and bowed to Master Wuwei before returning to her room.
"Master!" Mao Junjie led Qingfeng and Langyue over.
A kind smile appeared on Wuwei Zhenren's face as he looked at Qingfengzi without saying a word.
Qingfengzi pouted and said, "Don't look at me like that, it's creepy."
“A word I, Qingfengzi, say is a word that cannot be taken back. From now on, I will grant any request you may make and will follow your lead.”
"That's excellent."
"My kidneys are bad, really bad, my back hurts!" Qingfengzi, supporting his back with one hand and with Langyue's help, grumbled as he moved into the guest room behind the palace to recuperate.
In the next room, Mo Ye continuously channeled his immortal energy into Kui Kui's body.
Pain and exhaustion caused Kuikui to fall into a deep sleep.
She had the same dream she had when she came to Maoshan again.
This time, however, the dream was clearer and more realistic.
Mo Ye, clad in black armor, held a sword in his hand, blood dripping from the blade and onto the sticky mud at his feet.
Corpses piled up like mountains, and blood flowed like rivers.
The air was filled with the pungent smell of blood.
He watched Kui Kui approach step by step, and frowned slightly, saying, "If Heaven and Earth cannot tolerate me, then I will destroy Heaven and Earth."
A chilling statement, yet it seemed to be explaining something.
Looking at the devastated world, Kui Kui felt a mix of emotions.
She hesitated for a moment, but in the end, compared to the common people, the man in front of her was more important to her.
Are you... alright?
Upon hearing this, Mo Ye's brows relaxed, and a faint smile even appeared on his slightly pursed lips.
"It's good to have you here."
As soon as the words were spoken, the world changed color in an instant.
The blood-red sky grew even more gloomy, the dark sky pressing down so low it was suffocating.
"Click!"
A loud bang came from above, and a crack appeared in the sky.
The opening continued to widen, like a slowly opening eye looking down at Kui Kui.
A voice suddenly echoed in Kui Kui's heart, a woman's voice.
"Nuwa mended the sky with divine power, yet still no one came; only a single red dot remained in the heavens and earth."
I'm not Nuwa, why should I mend the sky?
Despite thinking this way, a strong sense of mission arose within Kui Kui.
Kui Kui unconsciously walked forward, her body becoming light and airy, as if she had turned into a feather and was flying.
As she watched the crack draw closer, her dull and empty gaze gradually hardened.
Suddenly, her body sank and she froze in place.
Kui Kui looked down and saw that Mo Ye was holding her ankle.
With a little effort, he pulled Kui Kui into his arms.
His brows were furrowed with worry and anxiety, and he said with a hint of anger, "What are you going to do!"
“I…” Kui Kui was speechless for a moment.
"What do you mean, 'you'? Are you trying to sacrifice yourself to the heavens again?"
Kui Kui was jolted awake by his harsh words.
She opened her eyes, still unsure whether it was a dream or reality, her mind still reeling from the enigmatic word "again."
Looking at Mo Ye's slightly worried eyes, Kui Kui asked, "Mo Ye, have we known each other before?"
Mo Ye was slightly taken aback and asked in surprise, "You remember?"
