Black suits him better

Black suits him better

The bowl of rice noodles was not as hard to swallow as Tao Xingye had imagined. The kitten in his arms was crying with hunger. He didn't want the cat to eat such food, but it would take at least three hours to get home.

He had no choice but to pick out a small piece of rice noodles, hold it in his hands and feed it to the kitten.

The cat lay in his arms and began to eat from his hand. Lin Yu looked up and saw this scene. His face was filled with natural tenderness as he looked at his kitten with full of doting.

Lin Yu took the chopsticks and fed some more rice noodles into his mouth. Tao Xingye was sometimes very soft.

"I'll look for you next week, remember to write to me!" Tao Xingye's murderous voice came, instantly driving away all the thoughts in Lin Yu's mind.

Lin Yu ignored him, nodded and went to pay the bill. When he came back, Tao Xingye was gone. Only two bowls of rice noodles were left on the table.

Another table of people came and shouted at the boss to clear the table.

On Friday, Lin Yu did not go to play volleyball. He waited by the fence with seven letters in his pocket. The empty dirt road stretched to the end without a single pedestrian.

Tao Xingye didn't come until the end of get out of class, and she held her letter in her hand in frustration.

She should have understood that he was just in a whim, and she was foolishly trying to get news about Jiang Shuang through him.

As she walked out of the school gate, a black car suddenly stopped Lin Yu. If she hadn't reacted quickly, she would have been hit! How did they drive?

Tao Xingye lowered the window and said, "Why are you standing there? Get in the car."

Why was it him? Lin Yu looked at his indifferent expression, and the slight aversion she had previously felt towards him returned to its original level.

Tao Xingye couldn't wait and went downstairs to pull her into the car.

"What do you think? Am I smart?" He was wearing a white suit and his hair was combed with mousse, as if he had just finished an important event.

Something furry crawled into Lin Yu's arms. She subconsciously pushed it away. It turned out to be the little white cat raised by Tao Xingye.

The little white cat wore a string of pearls and a white gauze skirt. "So cute."

She couldn't help but reach out and rub the cat, and the kitten stretched happily and lay in her arms.

Tao Xingye looked at Lin Yu strangely, but didn't ask her to return the kitten to him.

"Does it have a name? This little white cat."

"Of course not." Tao Xingye took out a cat strip and tried to lead the kitten into his arms, but it was of no use.

It must be the cat's fault!

Lin Yu glanced at Tao Xingye speechlessly, wondering what he was thinking. It was normal to have a name, but why did it seem natural to him to not have a name?

"What are you looking at me for?" Tao Xingye said, crossing his legs and leaning back into his seat with his hands on the back of his head. "She has been clinging to me since she was born, and only lets me hold her."

"..." Who asked? Lin Yu held back his complaints, "What does this have to do with not having a name?"

"Why is it okay?" Tao Xingye asked her to move aside in disgust. "You're covered in dirt. You're so dirty."

Lin Yu's hand following Mao Mao's suddenly froze, the atmosphere froze, she silently took out seven letters and placed them on the empty space between them.

"What are you doing? Is there something wrong at home?" Tao Xingye quickly took the remote control and locked all the car doors. Lin Yu turned around and glared at him in frustration.

"I, I have something else to talk to you about." Tao Xingye's eyes suddenly became evasive, but he quickly adjusted back to his indifferent look.

He knelt on the seat and reached out carefully to take out a black box from the back.

There was a rare innocence in his eyes, and he even looked a little embarrassed.

Is there anything in this world that he's embarrassed about? Lin Yu's interest was piqued, and she retreated back into her seat to watch him.

He placed the box steadily on the empty space between them. The ribbon untied, and the black box suddenly dropped down.

An open book-shaped cake appeared in front of Lin Yu.

The kitten licked its lips and was about to go up and destroy it. Lin Yu quickly held her back in his arms, and then she came to her senses.

It was a delicate cake that could not be made in any cake shop in the town. It was decorated with lifelike gentian cream flowers and a big white cat was lying in the middle of the books.

Tao Xingye took out the candles and placed them on the cake one by one patiently. Even at the birthday party in the afternoon, facing a fourteen-layer cake, he did not have the patience to place fifteen candles on it himself.

The lighter was lit, the candle emitted a faint fragrance, and the small orange flame stood quietly.

"Happy birthday to me." He rarely told others what he wanted so directly, and his voice was filled with a hint of expectation and guilt.

He didn't look at Lin Yu, but squatted there, looking at the cake quietly.

The air was frozen. In the not-so-spacious space, he squatted between the seats, half of his face illuminated by the candle.

Lin Yu's fingertips were covered with cat hair, and warmth spread up along her fingertips. She sat on the other side, looking down at Tao Xingye condescendingly.

Many indescribable emotions spread in her heart, and she really wanted to ask Tao Xingye why he felt that she was willing to celebrate his birthday.

She wanted to ask Tao Xingye why he was squatting there with an expectant look on his face.

She sat upright in her seat, as if being held high by Tao Xingye, but he had always spoken harshly to her before.

The cat rubbed her hand. She bit her lip, but finally couldn't bear it anymore and whispered, "Happy birthday."

A smile appeared in Tao Xingye's eyes. He really closed his eyes and made a wish.

He opened his eyes again, his light amber eyes illuminated by the candlelight, and he blew out the candle with a smile.

"I'll cut the cake for you," he pulled out the candles and took a knife to cut the most beautiful part for Lin Yu.

"You should give me the news about Jiang Shuang." Lin Yu's cold voice came from the side, and Tao Xingye froze.

"What do you mean?" He didn't stay at his birthday party, but sat in the car eagerly, carrying the cake he had personally ordered to find Lin Yu.

Now she dared to ask about Jiang Shuang's news.

"I mean it clearly."

"I don't know!" He suddenly raised his voice, losing his usual composure as he stared at Lin Yu, "It's my birthday."

Lin Yu felt jealous. He was celebrating his birthday, but what did it have to do with him?

She had just indulged him and wished him happy birthday.

Tao Xingye looked at Lin Yu with his head down, looking as if it was none of his business, and suddenly felt like a fool.

"Don't think too much about it." He sat down in a chair with a snarky tone, "I brought a cake with me on the way, and I was about to throw it away."

He was about to throw it away, then thought of how she had never seen the world, and mercifully brought it to her? Lin Yu glared at Tao Xingye. He really hadn't changed at all.

To say he is naive is a joke.

"Jiang Shuang is working, and something happened at home."

"What's the matter!" She looked at Tao Xingye anxiously, and the kitten in her arms seized the opportunity to jump out and pounce on the cake, turning the delicate flowers into a mess in an instant.

He had ordered the cake the night before and had watched over it all the way to bring it here, but it was destroyed just like that. A strong sense of drama enveloped Tao Xingye.

He picked up the kitten and placed it at his feet. "This is the next news."

His eyes slid over to Lin Yu, teasingly, and Lin Yu froze.

She kept comforting herself, she couldn't annoy Tao Xingye now. She forced a smile and moved closer, "Just tell me, I..."

"What do you mean by 'you'?" He had a stiff face just now, but now he was trying to smile at him for Jiang Shuang's sake. "Lin Yu, are we very close friends?"

Lin Yu's smile froze. Of course, she had no friendship with him. She shouldn't have said anything too much and given him something to laugh at.

"Get out of the car." His cold and hard voice came, and a low click was heard, and the car lock was unlocked.

Lin Yu got off the bus in silence, carrying the schoolbag at his feet.

The lonely figure of the girl was reflected in the rearview mirror, and Tao Xingye's eyes became more and more gloomy. "Throw the cake out!"

The driver quickly agreed, got out of the car, and quickly walked to the trash can with the cake.

Lin Yu was passed by him and walked aside, witnessing the whole process.

The cake, still exquisite even after being messed up, was placed so abruptly on a pile of garbage.

A snack bag swayed and finally just covered the little white cat.

Everything related to him really doesn't fit into her world.

The dilapidated streets were filled with noise as vendors were busy packing up their stalls and heading home. Lin Yu unknowingly walked to the rice noodle shop.

A couple was sitting at the table by the window, enjoying a bowl of rice noodles together.

As November approached, there were more and more joint examinations, and Tao Xingye didn't come to see her for two weeks.

Lin Yu hesitated whether to continue writing to him.

She was thinking, but the pen had already fallen:

Our last joint exam results were announced, and I don’t know my city ranking, but I just hope I don’t fall too far behind.

The teacher never explains the last big math problem, so I have to study it on my own. Many times I can’t finish it even after spending an entire night thinking about it.

Now we are in the middle stage of review. Many of my classmates are making progress, but my room for improvement is getting smaller and smaller.

I'm terrified of being overtaken by them. There's no one ahead of me, and I have no idea how far the city students have progressed. I go to bed every day in a state of panic, hoping the high school entrance exam will arrive soon so I don't have to endure this torment any longer.

Lin Yu put away her pen. It was the 21st letter. She stuffed the letter into her schoolbag without any hope.

"Lin Yu, go to the school gate. Someone's looking for you at home." The head teacher knocked on the classroom door and said to the other students, "Go downstairs and walk around during PE class. Don't stay in the classroom all the time!"

Is someone at home looking for her? Are her parents back? Lin Yu excitedly ran downstairs, schoolbag in hand. A tall, dark figure stood at the school gate with his back to her.

Lin Yu was stunned. That back figure reunited with an untouchable figure in his memory. Was it really him?

She froze, too timid to take another step forward. The man slowly turned around, his face as gentle as jade, but it was not Jiang Shuang at all.

Tao Xingye looked at the disappointment that quickly welled up in Lin Yu's eyes. Did she mistake him for someone else? Who did he mistake him for?

"My letter." He was the first to speak and break the silence. Lin Yu walked over and handed him a thick stack of letters from his schoolbag.

She couldn't help but look at him again. He rarely wore black clothes, mostly light colors.

It was very windy today, but he was only wearing a black thick-knit round-neck sweater and simple and clean black straight-leg pants.

She had to admit that he had a good appearance, and black brought out the arrogance hidden in his temperament, which suited him better than white.

"I was busy before and didn't have time to come to you."
