Just endure this time

Just endure this time

Tao Xingye spent the entire summer flying around the country, occasionally thinking of Lin Yu, but the thought was fleeting. Lin Yu's residence was no secret to him; anyone could easily find out.

It was a small town near Jincheng, a name Tao Xingye had never heard of. He was not interested in running all the way there to find Lin Yu. It was too boring and too cheap.

A week before school started, Tao Xingye felt like going to the pearl shop and bought a whole set of new hairpins. She had been writing to him for two months, so he had to prepare a gift for her as well.

Every night, Tao Xingye would sit at his desk, petting his cat and fiddling with the hairpins, trying to squeeze them in so that they could fit in two rows.

The numbers on the calendar were getting closer and closer. On the first day of school, Tao Xingye excitedly went to the classroom first.

More and more people came, and when the teacher officially started the class, the seat next to him was still empty. He was full of doubts. Was Lin Yu sick or something happened? Why didn't she show up?

He never took notes much, but that day, he wrote down everything the teacher said.

The running script is written fluently, and even many little people are drawn on it. The notes are like comic strips, and people can imagine the scene at a glance.

It was not until three days later that Tao Xingye found out that Lin Yu had transferred to another school.

When Tao Xingye heard the news, he sneered, and there was no other emotion on his face. However, just as the man turned and walked out of the room, a loud banging sound was heard from inside the house.

There were a lot of things falling to the ground.

The door was tightly shut and no one dared to go in. Then the sound of tearing books was heard again, and finally there was no sound at all.

The next day, the nanny went to clean Tao Xingye's room. She thought it would be a mess, but it was unexpectedly spotless. There was no sign at all of how angry the man had been in this room last night.

The only change was a safe. The safe that Tao Xingye had originally stuffed in the closet was now placed directly and clearly next to the bed.

It was as if someone had put something in there in a hurry and didn't have time to move it back.

As the days passed, no one forgot that there was a girl in Tianya Academy who was ridiculed and bullied by three grades. Tao Xingye seemed to have forgotten Lin Yu, and no one thought he would remember Lin Yu.

After all, he has the wealthy Tao family in Jincheng behind him. Lin Yu is too ordinary. Apart from studying, she is useless. She has no special characteristics worth remembering by someone like Tao Xingye.

But the seat next to Tao Xingye remained empty.

In October, the basketball league of four schools was held again, but Tao Xingye withdrew from the school team, and his No. 7 jersey was never seen again.

Classes were suspended during the game, and Tao Xingye was extremely bored, so he took a leave and went home alone.

There was no one in the villa; the nannies were on their lunch break. His white cat had made a mess in the litter box, so he had no choice but to clean it up himself.

He carried the cat to the utility room to find cat litter for her. There were a lot of things piled up in the utility room, and all of Tao Xingye's unimportant competition medals were thrown into this room.

"Just stay here for a while." He whispered, bent down, put the little white cat at his feet, and climbed up the stairs to get the new cat litter.

However, the kitten was always naughty and would not listen to him at all. When Tao Xingye came down, he saw her pulling out her eighth-grade schoolbag from somewhere and playing inside it.

The things fell to the ground in a mess. She bit the zipper and a white edge appeared from the small pocket.

Tao Xingye was not annoyed. He held the kitten and put the things on the ground back to their original places. When he put his schoolbag away, he suddenly thought of something. He half leaned on the ladder, holding the little white cat, and slowly pulled out the piece of white cloth from the small pocket.

There was no light in the utility room, only a beam of sunlight shone through the skylight. The exhaust fan was shaking weakly. As the strips of cloth were torn out, sparse change scattered in the air: fifty, one hundred, and more often twenty and ten yuan.

Tao Xingye didn't know if it was because there was too much money or because the money was too wrinkled, but he just felt that the ground was covered with money, and something was flashing in the sunlight. He stared at it and his face suddenly became gloomy.

The kitten seemed to sense his low pressure, jumped out of his arms in disgust, and lay on the ground to lick the hairpin - how could he not recognize it, it was a pearl hairpin that he had picked out after walking many streets.

Now there is a complete set of hairpins of the same brand in the safe in his bedroom! Tao Xingye threw down his schoolbag, picked up the kitten, and left the villa angrily.

In a certain township middle school, on the playground next to the dirt road of the village, Lin Yu was playing volleyball with sweat on his forehead. When Tao Xingye arrived, Lin Yu just jumped up and used his long arms to gather all his strength to hit a beautiful spike.

"Good job, Lin Yu, you haven't lost your stamina." A tall, curly-haired girl on the opposite side barely caught her spike and couldn't help but grumble, "Come on!"

Gao Ya hit the volleyball high up, and Lin Yu focused all her energy on the ball. As the volleyball passed over her head, she turned her head in annoyance towards the volleyball, but just this one glance made her completely stunned.

Outside the fence, Tao Xingye was dressed in white, with his hair hanging down in front of his forehead. He had a playful look in his eyes, and the cat in his arms was crawling around in his arms. He stared at Lin Yu with a smile in his eyes, but his hand was soothing his little white cat, "Long time no see, Lin Xiaomai."

His voice was neither too high nor too low, just enough for Lin Yu to hear clearly.

On the noisy and messy country dirt road, he stood in front of a pile of weeds, out of tune with the surrounding environment. Lin Yu's hands couldn't stop shaking, as if she was about to be forced back to the Tianya Academy that frightened and superior her.

Tao Xingye stroked the cat's fur, not caring that she ignored him, his eyes fixed on her. Her hair had indeed grown longer, and she had grown a lot taller, looking almost 1.65 meters tall.

Maybe it was because her skin had become darker, but her eyes were surprisingly bright. Tao Xingye had never seen her look so energetic.

Even though she was sweating profusely, he didn't mind it at all.

Gao Ya and the other girls also noticed Tao Xingye and stopped what they were doing to look at him. No one noticed Lin Yu who was sitting next to them with his head down and not saying anything.

Gao Ya looked at Tao Xingye's smiling face and bravely walked over with the volleyball in her arms, "Hey, are you watching us play volleyball?"

"Yes." Tao Xingye's smile became even brighter. His amber eyes showed no aggression and looked at Gaoya like a little sun. Moreover, he was holding a kitten in his arms, and he looked very easy to talk to.

Seeing this, the other girls also came over and started chatting with Tao Xingye in a few words.

"Why are you suddenly here?" He doesn't look like someone who lives nearby.

"I miss my classmates," Tao Xingye's voice suddenly raised, his eyes fell on Lin Yu who was standing in the distance with his back to him, "Lin Yu, why don't you come and talk to me." His tone was soft, like he was acting coquettishly.

As soon as the words fell, Lin Yu's face turned red, and she turned anxiously to look at the culprit, "No! Don't be fooled by him, I have nothing to do with him!"

"I understand, I understand." Several people nodded with a look of surprise. Gao Ya grabbed Lin Yu's arm and pushed her to the railing. "You guys chat, we won't disturb you!"

A group of girls retreated hurriedly, and in an instant only Tao Xingye and Lin Yu were left.

Lin Yu's eyes were filled with anger. "What on earth are you trying to do? We've already settled things!"

The smile on Tao Xingye's face had disappeared, and he looked nonchalant and nonchalant. "Where's the letter I asked you to write?"

Lin Yu didn't answer and his face turned cold.

"You haven't finished writing it yet," Tao Xingye changed the direction of the kitten, "It's not too late to start writing it now. I'll come to you to get it at this time next week. Isn't your last class physical education?"

"I won't write!" Lin Yu's chest heaved with anger, her sweat-soaked hair lay on her cheeks, and her whole body was filled with obvious resistance.

Tao Xingye seemed to have anticipated her reaction. He slowly took out the pearl hairpin that Lin Yu had returned from his pocket and said, "I haven't told you my conditions yet."

He reached over the railing and pinned the hairpin back into her hair. "Write a letter and I'll tell you some news about Jiang Shuang." His eyes were filled with subtle temptation. "Don't you miss him all the time?"

Jiang Shuang? Lin Yu's eyes lit up, but then he became wary again. Tao Xingye took in all of this, and his face grew gloomy.

"I promise you, but you have to tell me the truth, you can't lie to me!" Lin Yu grabbed the railing. Tao Xingye raised the corner of his mouth, but his eyebrows were slightly frowned. He took a step back very slowly, but his other foot did not move for a long time.

"I've changed my mind. Jiang Shuang's news is too difficult to find out. How can a letter from you be worth this price?" Tao Xingye's eyes were cold and his tone was harsh. "One week, seven letters a week, and I'll tell you one piece of news about him."

Tao Xingye stared at Lin Yu. He originally thought she would refuse, but after a moment's hesitation, she actually agreed directly. His anger grew stronger and stronger. Was Jiang Shuang so important to her?

"Who are you trying to avoid by transferring schools?" Tao Xingye glared at her. Lin Yu felt guilty and met his gaze.

She didn't answer, but the answer was already there.

"Think carefully, I don't insist that you write to me!"

Lin Yu's heart tightened. What did he mean by this? Looking at his tense face, Lin Yu realized something and lowered his head hesitantly. "I, I can't keep up with Tianya's pace. I think I am more suitable here."

That's more like it! Tao Xingye rubbed the cat's head with satisfaction, "Take me out for dinner after school."

"Ah?" Why should I invite him to dinner? "We don't have any good restaurants here, only a rice noodle shop." Lin Yu hoped in his heart that Tao Xingye would give up as soon as possible, but Tao Xingye raised his eyebrows.

"Why not a rice noodle shop?" He was starving! Lin Yu's school was in such a crappy place. It was six kilometers away from the bus stop, and there wasn't even a taxi. He must have been exhausted from walking here, and she actually pretended not to know him!

Tao Xingye glanced at Lin Yu, who seemed to have read his thoughts. He looked away and shrank his head. "Then don't be disgusted when the time comes."

"What's there to be disgusted with?" Tao Xingye stroked the little white cat in his arms.

Tao Xingye looked at the plastic tables and chairs in front of him, which were so dirty that they had not been replaced for who knows how many years. They were sticky as if they were covered with a hundred layers of paste.

"Hurry up and sit down, or someone will grab your seat soon." Lin Yu sat down at the table first and breathed a sigh of relief.

Tao Xingye held the cat in his arms and glared at Lin Yu with a frown, "You brought me here to eat in this shabby place!"

His voice was quite loud, and everyone in the restaurant put down their chopsticks and looked at him. Lin Yu quickly covered his mouth and smiled awkwardly at the people around him, "Haha, my cousin has a little problem with his brain. He, he always thinks he is a little emperor. Please forgive me."

"Hmm, hmm, my brain is swollen!" Tao Xingye had his mouth covered by Lin Yu, and he mumbled a lot, but no one could hear what he said. The people around him looked at Lin Yu with understanding and sympathy, and picked up their chopsticks to start eating again.

"When did I become mentally ill?" Tao Xingye slapped Lin Yu's hand away. "It's all sweat, so salty!"

Lin Yu was speechless for a moment, and grumbled quietly, "You were the one who asked me to treat you to a meal." Lin Yu wiped his chair back and forth several times with a tissue, "Just sit for a while."

Tao Xingye turned his head and wanted to complain something, but he saw Lin Yu half-turning his head and looking at him with a smile on his face.

He awkwardly withdrew his gaze and said, "Sit down." He couldn't help but look at Lin Yu again, but Lin Yu turned around and went to the counter.

Looking at her back, Tao Xingye couldn't help but recall that smile in his mind. It seemed that she rarely smiled at him so unguardedly.

He stroked the kitten and said with a smile, "Just bear with it this time."
