Chapter 006 Capturing the Little Tiger
Bai Su suddenly opened his eyes.
Realizing that the clanging noises were most likely coming from the basin of rice seeds in the kitchen, he suddenly lost all sleepiness and got out of bed.
Bai Su had no time to worry about whether his house had been robbed or whether it was safe.
He picked up a wooden stick from the corner of the stairs and rushed into the kitchen regardless of anything.
Under the dim moonlight, the kitchen was a mess, as expected, but that wasn't the most important thing—
The basin containing the seeds was now overturned on the ground, with water stains all over the dining table and the floor, and tiny rice seeds scattered all over the ground.
The larger wooden basin was now firmly upside down. When Bai Su first entered the kitchen, he was still desperately trying to take care of it, but now he was as quiet as a chicken.
Bai Su's blood pressure was about to rise.
He first kicked the big wooden basin, then pressed a wooden stick as thick as his arm on the basin. Then he took out a candle from the cupboard, lit it, and cleaned up bit by bit by candlelight.
Bai Su carefully pushed the scattered seeds together, scooped them up with a baking tray, washed them again and soaked them in a basin of water.
It took him half an hour to do all this. Fortunately, the rice seeds were just overturned and were not severely squeezed or damaged, so they could still be germinated.
After collecting the precious seeds, Bai Su turned around and looked at the large wooden basin that had been silent since a while ago.
He approached the large wooden tub, holding the wooden stick in one hand and slowly lifting the rim of the tub that was firmly stuck to the ground with the other hand.
"Meow..."
The two wet little tigers were huddled together and shivering, their big watery amber eyes wide open, looking in fear at Bai Su, who was holding a stick with a gloomy face.
Bai Su:?
The cruel expression on Bai Su's face could no longer be suppressed.
There was a loud noise in the middle of the night. He thought his house was robbed, so he rushed into the kitchen but saw no one. He only heard rustling noises in the large wooden basin on the ground, and thought a mouse had gotten in.
In the past, in the countryside, what farmers feared most was rats entering the granary and stealing the food.
But today no mice came to my house, but little tigers came... No, these two little tigers, one dark brown and one golden, are only as big as an orange cat. How can they be considered real tigers?
These are clearly two kittens!
"Kitten." Bai Su hid the stick behind his back, his expression changed quickly, and he asked with a smile, "My dear, can you two talk?"
Bai Su did not forget that this was a magical world where fantasy creatures existed, so he looked at the two little tigers with anticipation.
"Meow." The little brown-fur tiger hugged the smaller golden tiger with its paws and bravely called out to Bai Su.
The little furry mouth and the teeth haven’t grown in yet are so cute that Bai Su is blushing.
Seeing that the two little tigers were still huddled together and looking at him warily, Bai Su was a little disappointed.
"Can't speak?" he said to himself.
Bai Su has always liked small animals. The two little tigers in front of him are chubby and very cute.
He thought that these two little tigers were human-like and could talk like in fairy tales.
"Sit still and wait a moment." Bai Su stretched out a finger and poked the brown little tiger's forehead, regardless of whether they understood or not.
He walked to the window and closed the window again, which was slightly cracked, thinking that the two little tigers had sneaked in through this gap.
But his brain was too stupid and his nose was not very sharp. Instead of going to the cupboard to look for the cheese bread and pomegranate jam left by Bai Su, he touched the basin with a tightly covered lid on the dining table.
He struggled to knock the basin over, but not only did he not get any food, his fur got wet and fell into the basin.
He was caught red-handed by the farmer who came rushing over.
Bai Su cleaned up the messy kitchen, boiled a pot of water, turned around, and saw the two little tigers still squatting there obediently.
The little tiger didn't look as scared anymore, but its fur was soaked and it was shivering uncontrollably.
It was spring in the small town, and the nights were still chilled by the previous season. After Bai Su mixed hot water, he held the two little tiger cubs, one in each hand, by the scruff of their necks and slid them into the bathtub. The two little tigers curled up their paws obediently and did not make any noise or noise.
Apply nice-smelling shampoo like you would give a kitten a bath.
The sweet scent of berries filled the small bathroom. The two little tigers seemed to know that Bai Su was cleaning them. They would lift their paws when told to and would not bite when their bellies were washed. They were very well-behaved.
Bai Su was so happy that her heart blossomed.
A bubble floated onto the pink nose of the golden little tiger. The little tiger took a bite and burst the bubble.
"Mimi, you're so cute!" Bai Su couldn't help himself and lowered his head to kiss the little tiger's tender nose. He promised, "Little cat, stay with your brother, okay? I'll grow rice and support you!"
The two little tigers widened their watery amber eyes in surprise and looked at each other.
The next second, mist rose, and Bai Su looked closely—
Where is the little tiger in the bathtub?
Two chubby little kids, about eight or nine years old, were sitting in the pool full of bubbles, calling Bai Su "brother".
…
As the sky was getting light, Bai Su yawned and sat at the dining table with his face propped up, watching the two little kids slurping noodles.
The little one with dark brown hair was a little older, and while eating noodles he did not forget to glance at Bai Su occasionally; the one with golden hair buried his whole face in the bowl, eating without even raising his head.
The two of them were wearing ankle-length cotton clothes that Bai Su had randomly found. They had identical faces that were extremely cute, and two small round ears standing on their heads.
After witnessing the two little tigers transform into humans, Bai Su's first reaction was, you two are so cunning. When asked if they could speak human language, they pretended to be kittens, but when I told them that they would be kept at home and fed, they couldn't wait to turn into humans.
The kitten has two faces!
The two little kids were eating noodles with big mouthfuls. Bai Su touched his shirt pocket and felt the financial pressure suddenly increasing.
The other thing is...
Bai Su recalled the day when he first met Keos. The Centaur Guard Captain said very seriously that someone had witnessed the activities of orcs near the farm.
A few stowaway orcs...
Bai Su looked at the two children who had finished their meal and were looking at him anxiously, and thought to himself, who cares if he is an orc? What could a kitten do wrong?
The kitten definitely didn't mean to sneak across the border! There must be something else going on.
Movies and games usually have similar plots, maybe they are the protagonists.
Bai Su smiled and opened his arms towards the two fat kids, saying, "Come on, turn into little tigers again and sleep with your brother first. We'll talk about your business after you wake up."
·
After finishing the morning patrol, Keos called all the guards to a meeting in the conference room.
The smuggled orcs have not been found yet. Although life in the town seems to be calm on the surface, the royal family and the guards are as anxious as ants on hot pan.
As the captain of the guard, Keos was under tremendous pressure.
This world is originally a chaos.
Two hundred years ago, during the endless war, the founding emperor of the Wenk Empire, with the blessing of the sacred power of the Holy See, unified most of the lands of the East and West Continents, bringing lasting peace to mankind.
The sirens dive into the deep sea, the elves hide from the world, and the orcs lurk in the dark forest, competing with humans.
There is no news about other mysterious races.
Ten years ago, the internal political struggle among the orcs intensified. The Centaur King led the Centaurs to reach a peace and friendship alliance with the Human Empire and moved from the Dark Forest of the Western Continent to settle in the Eastern Continent.
Centaurs are intelligent beings with divine nature. The Centaur King once predicted that ten years later, that is, now, if a large number of orcs leave the Dark Forest, it will inevitably trigger a crisis that will shake the entire world.
A peaceful and beautiful life can easily make people forget potential threats, until a few days ago, when some residents of the small town reported that they had witnessed orcs near the farm in the east.
This prophecy made ten years ago has only just begun to be taken seriously.
…
There were still no valid clues, and the meeting was just meaningless clichés.
Keos rubbed his brows tiredly and announced the adjournment of the meeting.
The centaurs and human warriors immediately got up and left, each preparing for their afternoon work.
After a long time, Keos opened his eyes, only to see his adjutant, a centaur with red hair and black fur, looking at him with interest in the empty conference room.
Keos: “…”
Keos guessed what his adjutant was going to do almost instantly.
The red-haired centaur stomped his feet a few times and, ignoring Keos's cold expression, said in an ambiguous tone, "Keos, I heard from Olin that you were dating the new farmer in our town at the restaurant where his sister works."
Olin is the blond little boy who bumped into Bai Su yesterday, and the red-haired centaur Faria is the instructor of the Boy Scout training camp where Olin is.
Faria became more and more excited as he spoke. He walked around Caius with an exaggerated expression and then made a tsk-tsk sound like an old hen.
"I say, old man," said Caius, noticing that Faria had adopted a more personal address, which indicated that his words were spoken with complete friendliness. "You have excellent taste! I've met that farmer before; he's a very charming man, with a warm disposition, a perfect complement to you."
"As your best friend, I decided to support your love!"
"Faria." Keos interrupted. If it weren't for their private friendship, Keos would even want to punch him.
"When did you start to believe the information of a seven-year-old human boy?" Keos said sarcastically.
"No, no, no." Faria raised a finger and shook it gently. "It's not that I believe Olin's information, but haven't you noticed? You've been in an unusually good mood these past two days. And, Keos, many people in town have seen you getting along with that farmer."
Faria said firmly: "Admit it, you like this human youth!"
Meanwhile, Bai Su had just prepared a sumptuous lunch.
After taking a nap in bed with two furry little tigers in his arms in the morning, Bai Su felt like he was about to melt into a happy muffin.
Bai Su never expected that in his ordinary life of 24 years old, there would be a day when he would attract a tiger!
In his original world, this is a protected animal!
So the farmer, in a good mood, kissed the tips of the two little tigers' round ears one by one and decided to make a delicious lunch to celebrate raising a cat.
He even baked a cake.
The sweet aroma of cream and fruit filled the house. Bai Su turned around and saw two chubby little kids standing at the stairs holding hands, looking at him eagerly.
The dark brown-haired child opened his mouth and made a coquettish sound that was clearly not that of a human cub:
"Mee——"
