Chapter 133 I really don't like you

His eyes involuntarily deepened, his lips pressed into a tight line, a complex emotion flashing in a place unseen by Mo Qing.

The light was dim in the woods.

He walked with exceptional steadiness, yet not too slow. He would deliberately slow down as he passed the surrounding trees, as if afraid of accidentally tripping over someone on his back.

But he suppressed the thought as soon as it popped into his head, and suddenly found it somewhat ridiculous.

"How did you get in?" Ji Muhan asked the same question indifferently.

He simply couldn't believe it was just a coincidence again!

Mo Qing remained silent, but Ji Muhan could guess without even thinking who had brought this trouble in—no, she was absolutely certain.

For some reason, the thought of that possibility made me feel a tightness in my chest, and my voice was a little low, "Is it skipping class again this time?"

Upon hearing this, Mo Qing puffed out her cheeks, somewhat displeased, and muttered, "I don't need to skip class! It's okay if I don't go to school!"

"What oars again?" She took leave last time, okay?

I didn't ask for leave this time, but the National Day holiday is just around the corner, and we'll still have to take a break then!

Furthermore, someone like her who had already completed all her credits ahead of time could have stopped going to school long ago; she could have just studied at home. However, she was afraid that if she told her brother this, he would definitely send her back to the capital to be looked after by her aunt, grandparents, and other relatives.

She wasn't going to be that foolish. She wouldn't be able to see him anymore. She could still breathe under the same sky as him, but once she returned to the capital, it was very likely she would never see him again...

Ji Muhan slowed her pace slightly as she carried her, her eyes flickering slightly.

He no longer knows which of the girl's words are believable and which are not.

"If that's the case, then how did you get in? Didn't you know we were conducting a drill?"

Ji Muhan's expression cooled rapidly, and a cold and aloof aura emanated from him.

He thought Mo Qing on his back would change the subject or make up various excuses, but in fact she didn't say a word.

Ji Muhan's eyes were slightly cool. He couldn't quite put his finger on the strange feeling in his heart. It was just that when he saw her frown, he felt a tightness in his chest and felt very irritable. This feeling rarely occurred to him, and every time it did, it was because of her.

He felt that after this exercise, he might need to sort out his emotions. He didn't want to lose his composure again because of her.

"Hanhan," Mo Qing suddenly spoke.

I heard her voice, soft and muffled, like a fragile dream.

"Hanhan, I've missed you so much these past few days, so very much." She whispered as if to a lover, her voice so soft it was almost inaudible. If he hadn't been carrying her with his back to him, and if she hadn't been so close to his ear, he might not have heard her barely audible voice at all…

I missed him so much that I didn't care about anything else and came to see him!

The earth fell silent for a moment.

Ji Muhan's breathing became erratic. He was unsure whether it was because it was too quiet here, or if such emotions were contagious.

His heart was racing, and the words that were on the tip of his tongue almost slipped out, but fortunately he managed to control himself in time.

After walking briskly for about twenty minutes, Ji Muhan heard gunshots ahead and immediately stopped. She found a secluded spot to hide and even looked for vines that could conceal Mo Qing.

"Where are you going?" Mo Qing grabbed his finger quickly and stared at him intently as she asked.

"The exercise isn't over yet." Ji Muhan glanced indifferently at Mo Qing's grip on her right index finger, then looked up at her. Mo Qing didn't blush at all; instead, she smiled brightly and let go of her finger.

Ji Muhan calmly withdrew her hand, saying indifferently, "Just stay here and don't move. I'll call someone to come and get you."

He simply continued doing what he was supposed to do as a soldier.

Besides, her injury required a medic to treat it. As a special forces soldier, he could indeed treat such a simple and common injury, but—

Ji Muhan raised his eyes and glanced at Mo Qing's face, which seemed to remain beautiful no matter what. He felt a headache coming on. If he were to take action, he was afraid that this delicate girl would not be able to withstand the pain, and there were no painkillers here...

"But my feet hurt. If you leave, I'll be scared to be here alone. I'm afraid of the dark." Mo Qing stared at him with her beautiful big eyes. "Really."

Ji Muhan's eyes flickered, as if she had looked at him with the same sincere eyes and said the same words during the last mission.

Thinking about what happened in Yunnan, Ji Muhan's eyes softened a little, and her voice became gentler than she had ever noticed, "It won't be long. There will usually be a helicopter in about half an hour. I will tell them your location then."

"But I'm still scared." Mo Qing looked at him stubbornly, not letting him leave.

Her soft, sweet voice remained unchanged. Ji Muhan didn't know whether he should believe her or not. He had been lied to so many times that he was unsure which of this spoiled girl's words he could believe and which he couldn't.

However, after gazing into her eyes for a while, Ji Muhan suddenly sighed inwardly, bent down, and touched her ankle. The girl's ankle was fair and delicate, very beautiful, as if it would break if you squeezed it. As soon as this thought popped into his mind, he unconsciously lightened his grip.

After pausing for two seconds, he said to her, "It's dislocated. You may need to rest for a while. Don't wander around."
