He emphasized the following sentence, making it sound like a warning, even though it was meant as an admonition. He felt uneasy about the girl's restless nature.
"Oh." Mo Qing knew that Ji Muhan was implying that she had come to their unit, or even to their exercise ground. She lowered her head and pretended to be obedient, but her eyes were secretly darting around.
Ji Muhan looked at her with her head down, pretending to be obediently admitting her mistake, and said calmly, "If you don't want to listen to me, I'll throw you out and hand you over to your brother."
He knew that with her restless nature, even if she appeared obedient and compliant now, she might very well turn against him later.
"I'll listen to you, really," Mo Qing winked at him vigorously to show her determination, her eyes conveying her sincerity, and nodded hurriedly, "Hanhan, I will definitely listen to you very much."
Ji Muhan's eyes flickered slightly, but she couldn't discern any emotion in his voice. "Mm."
He didn't know what drove him to keep tolerating Mo Qing's increasingly demanding behavior.
Mo Qing gently poked Ji Muhan's back and asked, "Um, did my brother say anything to you?"
When she thought about her brother, she remembered that he might have thought the two of them weren't a good match.
"A lot." Ji Muhan answered calmly, turning her back to her surroundings to guard against being shot in the head. Her eyes flickered slightly when she heard Mo Qing's words, but she answered calmly.
"So, did you agree to what my brother said?" Mo Qing's heart skipped a beat, and she had a bad feeling.
Ji Muhan's eyes flickered slightly. Her face, hidden in the darkness, had an inscrutable expression. She fell silent, cautiously observing her surroundings without uttering a word, and did not answer her question.
Seeing that he didn't speak, Mo Qing looked at his profile with a nervous expression and quickly said, "Hanhan, listen to me, my brother's words don't count. No matter how much he disagrees, I won't listen to him on this matter, really."
Fearing that Ji Muhan wouldn't believe her, Mo Qing quickly repeated herself.
Ji Muhan listened silently from beginning to end, offering no comment on her words.
Mo Qing was getting anxious, ignoring the pain in her feet, and subconsciously grabbed Ji Muhan's sleeve. "Don't you believe me? My brother is very soft-hearted. From childhood to adulthood, whenever I decide to talk about something, he always backs down in the end."
So even if he doesn't agree to their request now, as long as Ji Muhan doesn't agree and he doesn't agree, she has her own way of making him give in.
Compared to her brother's opposition, she cared more about him...
"Oh." Ji Muhan glanced at her indifferently, her expression ambiguous. "That's your business."
Upon hearing this, Mo Qing blinked, feeling a strange sense of disappointment.
She knew that even without her brother, Ji Muhan might not necessarily fall in love with her, but she still couldn't help but hold onto a sliver of hope.
He hoped she could become that special person in his heart, different from everyone else...
"By the way, Hanhan, do you really hate me?" Mo Qing asked, her eyes downcast and a little forlorn.
"It's alright." Ji Muhan glanced at her drooping head, and even though he knew she might be acting, he still answered.
Mo Qing blinked and stubbornly replied, "Of course there is. You must find me really annoying and dislike me."
"I'm fine." Ji Muhan's eyes inadvertently glanced at Mo Qing's beautiful and eye-catching collarbone. From his angle, the rise and fall of her chest was clearly visible. After looking at it for a few seconds, he calmly looked away. "Although it is indeed a bit annoying."
But once you get used to it, it's not so unbearable.
Mo Qing was startled, seemingly still thinking about something, but Ji Muhan seemed to sense something and quickly reached out to cover her mouth.
He whispered in her ear, "Don't say anything."
Mo Qing blinked. Ji Muhan's breathing was exceptionally clear in her ear, amplified several times, so clear that it seemed she could only hear his breathing. All her previous disappointment disappeared, and she felt better again. She raised the corners of her mouth, a smile she couldn't suppress.
