The lead dog, a large yellow dog, had a glossy coat and was as tall as an adult, standing at least 1.3 meters even when sitting. It was slurring its words as it looked at them.
The henchmen behind it were a mixed bag, some of them even appearing to be stray dogs.
They were all waiting for it to give the order, so they could seize the opportunity to act.
"Whose dog is this? Blocking the road like this, isn't anyone going to do anything about it?"
Cui Liu's hands tightly clutched the pork in the basket; this was the only meat she had had in half a month, and she couldn't let them steal it.

Before they had gone more than a few steps, the big yellow dog let out a furious roar, and the pack of dogs swarmed over, knocking the mother and daughter to the ground. They didn't hurt them, but they did stomp on them a few times. Some of the more annoying dogs even urinated on them as if marking their territory.
A small white dog carried the meat from the basket to the big yellow dog, looking at the big yellow dog with a fawning expression.
Who knew it wouldn't even glance at it? It didn't care about such a small amount of meat; normally it could even afford venison.
So it shook its head, indicating that it should share the spoils with them.
The dogs roared and cheered, realizing that following the right leader meant they would get to eat meat.
Seeing her own flesh being eaten by the dog, Cui Liu was heartbroken. Cui Yufang, standing nearby, pounded the ground hard.
