An Moxue was very satisfied with the luxurious yet stylish banquet hall. She said to Karl, "Next time there's a banquet, I'll have to borrow your people again."
Carl joked, "If this happens a few more times, they probably won't want to follow me anymore. They'll all have to surrender to you. After all, who can refuse a generous salary!"
An Moxue replied with a smile, "I only pay this salary to your people. Others don't get this rate; they only get the normal price."
Carl was pleased with what he heard and said, "Alright! I'll pass that on to them."
He paused for a moment, then asked, "Is there anything else you're unhappy about? Let's clean it up before the guests arrive."
"No, I'm very satisfied."
As the two were talking, the doorman came in and said, "Miss Giddens, I saw someone walking down the avenue, it looks like they're coming to your house."
"Okay, I'll go take a look." The first part of the sentence was addressed to the doorman, and the second part was addressed to Karl.
Carl thoughtfully asked, "Should I go?"
"No need, you've already gone to so much trouble. I absolutely cannot use you to greet guests again," An Moxue said jokingly.
Karl looked helpless, thinking that he had used everything and was still missing this step. But he also knew that it was a banquet at his home, and he didn't need to greet anyone who wasn't important; it was simply a matter of his status.
She used him as a friend, but she knew what she could and couldn't do, and she knew when to advance and when to retreat. She wouldn't let him greet guests and lose his dignity.
After An Moxue finished speaking, she walked towards the door. When she arrived at the door, the people she had invited had already arrived and were signing in. An Moxue greeted them one by one and got to know them all. She stood at the door for more than an hour. An Moxue saw that almost everyone had arrived. There were dozens of people from all walks of life and from multiple countries.
Only then did she have a real feeling that she had made the right move, even though tonight's banquet wasn't cheap, she felt it was nothing compared to these connections.
She entered the banquet hall with great enthusiasm and gave a speech, saying, "Thank you all for your honesty and frankness during the day. From today onwards, we are friends. If you need anything, just ask. As long as it is within my power, I will definitely not refuse."
An Moxue spoke eloquently, and the catering she prepared was clearly done with care. Everyone's goodwill towards her increased even more. Especially after entering, they saw Young Master Karl, Miss Sophia of the Nikolai family, and several other young ladies from influential families. They knew that even if they didn't say anything today, An Moxue could still get away unscathed.
Today's acquaintance is only superficial; there's plenty of time in the future. All An Moxue showed to the guests was her sincerity in expressing her gratitude. Everything else was hidden beneath her surface; who could see it?
“Miss Jido, you are Mongolian. Would you be interested in cooperating with us?” a man who looked refined and not like a businessman asked.
Intrigued, An Moxue asked, "Mr. Ganis, what are your plans?"
"I have a very good view of your Mongolian beef and mutton, and there is also great potential in the fur industry. I wonder if Miss Jido would be interested in cooperating and selling them to my country?"
"Well, may I ask why? To be honest, there should be plenty of people in Mongolia willing to cooperate with you on this business, especially since I'm so young, I'm only a freshman in college."
"But your major is economics, and I don't cooperate with just anyone. I just think highly of your character. If this cooperation goes well, I hope to achieve a long-term partnership."
An Moxue hadn't expected such a reward tonight. She exclaimed with delight, "Mr. Ganis, I'd be delighted! After all, who can resist the temptation of money?"
"How about we schedule another time to discuss this in detail?"
“Okay, it’s a deal. Let’s exchange phone numbers so we can schedule a time.” An Moxue said, calling over a waiter. She went to the study to get a pen and paper, wrote down her phone number, and handed it to Ganis. Ganis also wrote down his phone number and gave it to An Moxue.
After that, it was as if An Moxue had opened a floodgate, and several more people wanted to cooperate with her. An Moxue smiled and agreed to each one, and they exchanged contact information to discuss the details later.
She felt that the policeman was still somewhat useful in retrospect, and it didn't hinder her determination to deal with him. If she hadn't found out he was imprisoned last night, she would have dealt with him then and there. She would let him have his fun for a few more days for now.
An Moxue had been extremely busy all night, and finally, when there was no one around, Sophia and the others came over.
"Giddy, you've had a really busy night." Sophia said, whether with a sigh or a complaint, that An Moxue hadn't spoken to her all night.
An Moxue replied with a smile, "They helped me yesterday, so I have to show my sincerity."
Katyusha said, "This is a great opportunity for you; your network has expanded rapidly."
An Moxue thought to herself, "That's what I was thinking, but I can't admit it, or it would seem too mercenary." She said, "I didn't think that much about it. Yesterday, I was just thinking about treating these people well."
She thought about it for a while and said, "Sisters, if there's business to be had, would you mind doing it?"
Several people looked at her with bright, sparkling eyes; needless to say, they had all thought about it.
Saiya looked at her and asked, "Giddy, do you have a direction now?"
An Moxue thought for a moment and said, "A friend just mentioned wanting to do business with me, selling Mongolian cattle and sheep to their country. I was thinking, why don't we do something like this too? We don't need to go for a huge amount at first, just enough to make enough for ourselves! What do you guys think?"
"I've never run a business before, I don't know how to do it!"
"I've never done it before, and I don't know."
"Me too."
"None of you have done this, as if I have." Well, this woman has the ability to say things that make you want to punch her; she deserves a beating.
An Moxue laughed and said, "We're all pretty much the same. I have some ancestral property, but it's all inanimate. Before the start of the semester, I opened a small restaurant back home, and I don't know how it's doing now. So we're about the same. If we both think it's feasible, let's think about it, see what we can do, and then discuss it further."
Sofia, always a woman of action, said, "Regarding food, clothing, shelter, and transportation, I think we can start by considering food and clothing. What do you think?"
Saiyan said, "Yes, this works. Even those mining and military industries aren't suitable for us!"
An Moxue thought frantically to herself, "It's suitable, it's suitable, you can be even bolder."
And so, this dinner marked the beginning of An Moxue's business ventures in Europe.
At the end of the banquet, An Mo was exhausted, but extremely excited. This was a very important step in accumulating wealth and connections – the beginning of a new chapter.
