Chapter 173 Going on a Vacation to an Island

Number Nine hurriedly stood up: "What? This is a sacred object! You mustn't actually use it as a bath towel!"

The shopkeeper turned off the tablet: "They've already been sent back, and the war zone will soon return to normal. However, you probably won't be able to see any scenes of war anymore; the people here need a short period of rest and recuperation."

"Master, it's me."

The shopkeeper waved his hand: "Don't worry, I will analyze the situation of Da Zhao for you."

Xie Yuancheng then laughed, and I asked from the side, "You came to this godforsaken place just to find a way to lead troops?"

"Yes and no, it's never a bad thing to learn more."

I poked Xie Yuancheng's face: "No wonder you insisted on having me come; you had other motives all along."

"Ying'er~"

"I don't blame you. It's just that I really don't know how to lead troops. As long as you're the one who's exhausted yourself."

Xie Yuancheng laughed beside him, and Number Nine coughed and handed me the folded red cloak.

"Consider this a thank you gift. I've already benefited greatly from this trip. You can enjoy this while you have. Take good care of yourselves."

"Thank you, are you leaving now?"

Number Nine looked at me with an innocent expression: "Do you want to come with me?"

I quickly shook my head: "Take care, don't bother seeing me off."

A large aperture appeared above, enveloping Number Nine. Number Nine waved to me, and I waved back. The aperture rapidly shrank, and Number Nine disappeared within it.

"She's gone just like that!" I was standing where the light circle had been. It was truly amazing; a single light circle could take her away.

"Ying'er, come to me quickly." Xie Yuancheng was nervous, so I went over, took his hand, and pulled him to look at it together.

"It's not amazing at all, don't bother watching."

Xie Yuancheng pulled me away. What a cautious man. What's there to be afraid of? It's just a halo.

“My strange disciple, here’s the plane ticket.”

Xie Yuancheng packed the plane tickets. "Ying'er, we're going back now."

"You're not going to watch your modern military stuff anymore?"

“Master is right. The regions are different. Even if we use modern methods, they won’t work well in Dazhao.”

"Alright, wherever the Marquis goes, I will naturally follow."

Xie Yuancheng pinched my nose: "Only Ying'er knows how to talk."

He drove me away; there was no one else around. He drove straight to the airport.

"Shall we go to the airport and then go back to that city?"

“Master said we’re going to another city. I’ll take Ying’er around, and we’ll be home in a few days.”

Xie Yuancheng was in high spirits when he talked about going home, and he smiled so broadly that his eyes disappeared.

"That's great, I'm going to take Yu'er out to play a lot."

The thought of my precious son's milky scent fills me with joy.

"Ying'er, we'll stay at Uncle Cui's residence for now and won't return to Linyang yet."

"Why? I want a son."

Xie Yuancheng parked the car on the side of the road: "Ying'er, we'll be staying in the capital for now. Don't worry, I'll give you a daughter."

"Get out of here. It's not like you're the one who's pregnant. How could you know my pain?"

I suffered so much when I was sick with Yu'er. Xie Yuancheng went to war, and I didn't see him for almost eight months!

"Don't worry, I'll protect you this time."

Xie Yuancheng's eyes flashed. He just knows how to seduce me. This is outrageous!

"No, you carry it."

Xie Yuancheng touched his belly: "If I had that ability, I would never bear to let you suffer."

His voice was gentle, and he looked at me with deep affection. I couldn't believe my eyes and actually agreed to his request.

Xie Yuancheng half-embraced me and kissed me. His scent never changed, no matter where we were, and it always captivated me.

Sitting on the plane, looking out the dark window, I lowered the sunshade and took Xie Yuancheng's hand.

"When I first came here, I felt that two years was a long time, but now it's over in the blink of an eye."

"Yes, Master originally said that we should go to the next space with him, but we in Dazhao still have a lot of things to do, so how can we go with him in peace?"

"The shopkeeper doesn't want you to learn how to be a time traveler from him, does he? Don't go. If you leave me behind, what will happen to me, Yu'er, and our future daughter?"

"Ying'er~" Xie Yuancheng looked at me sideways: "You always think differently, I will never leave you."

"That's a good boy."

When we got off the plane, we realized we were on an island, surrounded by azure seas and skies.

"It's so beautiful. These houses, one after another, look so lovely reflected in the sea."

"If Ying'er likes it, I'll fix one for you when I go back."

"Come on, fixing this is too much trouble. You've only just recovered and you've been busy at the workbench all this time. Don't overwork yourself."

"Okay, I'll take you for a walk around the island."

Xie Yuancheng and I rented a small car locally, with only two seats. The island is quite large and looks beautiful from the outside, and the streets we passed through were clean and tidy.

There were some places the car couldn't go, so Xie Yuancheng became obsessed with electric scooters. He chose a light green one, and I sat on the back of him. This was much more comfortable than riding a horse.

"Yuancheng, why don't you want pink?"

Do I look like someone who would like pink?

"My wife's dress is pink, and you still love it, don't you?"

"That's different. Hold on tight, we'll discuss this when we get back."

Wearing a face mask, Xie Yuancheng initially rode erratically, but within the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, he was able to ride the electric scooter smoothly, occasionally making a beautiful turn at a corner.

This place is perfect for a vacation; the owner is so kind to have chosen this spot.

I leaned on Xie Yuancheng's shoulder. Mine was a pink helmet, and his was blue. I always liked to tease him about being his "red confidante" and his "blue confidante."

"Ying'er, if you say that again, I'll deal with you when we get back."

“I said, let’s go back later and see the sea view.”

“After Master came, he had a small airplane, and we could watch from it.”

"I want to be with you, Yuancheng, I love you so much, please take me to the beach."

"If Ying'er wants to see it, I'll take you."

Xie Yuancheng wanted to go back early, and of course I knew what he wanted to do—let's see the sea view first.

He drove very fast. When I got out of the car, I thought we had arrived at the seaside, but we were actually downstairs from our apartment building, with the rented car parked next to us.

"Yuancheng, you're lying to me."

I'm not happy. He's a big liar.

He parked the car, put the helmet in my hand into the trunk, and then picked me up.

"You dared to say you loved me like that, Ying'er, I miss you so much."

I hugged his neck: "You have to make up for my beach trip."

"You'll see it in a moment."

As soon as we entered, I stepped down from his arms. It was a sea-view room, but we didn't go in. I should have known better than to let him go to the beach. All the windows here are floor-to-ceiling windows, and there's a transparent swimming pool below.

Just a little further down is the sea, and it's beautiful no matter how you look at it.

"Ying'er, let's go wash up first."

"This place is beautiful, let me take another look."

"I'll come back later."

Xie Yuancheng may be thin, but he's incredibly strong; he dragged me away.
