"Okay, I won't talk about it anymore. Now get up and move around a bit; it's still chilly inside."
I helped him up. Xie Yuancheng still had a proud expression on his face. Yu'er was looking at us with her little mouth open, probably because she was frightened by his voice.
"My sweet son~ Mommy just found you here, come give me a hug~"
I was just talking to Yu'er, and I completely forgot about him in the blink of an eye. I quickly hugged him and comforted him, "My little darling~ what are you thinking about?"

It was my mother's voice. She came at such an inopportune time; I hadn't even seen her.
"Grandma~" Yu'er was even more excited to see her mother than to see me. She waved her little hands so high they looked like little wings.
"Good boy, Yu'er~" Mother held him in her arms, looking at me angrily, and I quickly got up.
"Mom~ He was the one who spoke ill of me first, how can you blame me?"
I stood to the side listening to my mother scold me. Fortunately, Xie Yuancheng knew to speak up for his wife and tried to explain for a long time, but Yu'er messed it all up.
"Mommy made Daddy angry~" He said, staring at me with wide eyes. I was truly speechless with frustration.
"Yu'er~ You can't talk about your mother like that. She just woke up and she's grumpy when she wakes up~"
Xie Yuancheng's explanation was utterly unconvincing. My mother gave me some more advice before taking Yu'er back home. I felt utterly defeated. What bad luck! Why did this have to happen?
"Ying'er, you can't blame me for this. How was I supposed to know that my mother-in-law would arrive now? She arrived a whole incense stick earlier than I expected."
"Hmph! No amount of explanation can compare to my anger~ I'm ignoring you~" I saw him with a long face, pretending to run away, but I was pulled back.
