Chapter 1 Emergency: Gathering Supplies

"Driver, to the biggest agricultural wholesale market! And quick!"

"Alright!"

Lin Zao sat in the car and took a breather.

Who would have thought that just moments before her ex-boyfriend pushed her into a horde of zombies, she would be reborn from the apocalypse to the day before it began?

Fortunately, her spatial ability allowed her to bring back everything inside, and the space was now hundreds of times larger than before.

As soon as she realized what was happening, she immediately hailed a taxi and rushed to the city's largest farmers' market.

She wanted to collect as many supplies as possible before the apocalypse struck, filling the space to the brim!

"Whoosh!"

As soon as the taxi stopped, Lin Zao quickly got out and headed towards the market.

She started buying everything from the very first store, ordering large quantities of anything she could use, since her space had a preservation function and she didn't have to worry about it spoiling.

When it comes to food and drink, Lin Zao will sweep the store clean, not even leaving behind the seeds.

She bought every medicine available in the pharmacy, ignoring the strange looks from the shopkeepers.

Anyway, the apocalypse is tomorrow, who cares about these things?

She had the shop deliver everything directly to a huge row of warehouses she had booked via her phone before coming, paying extra for expedited service.

It must be delivered before tonight, otherwise it will be too late by tomorrow.

Her parents used to own a company, and they left her tens of millions of dollars before they passed away, which was more than enough to buy these things.

Lin Zao bought things from store to store, and she lost count of how much she bought. The money in her card was almost gone, and it was getting dark.

There was about 20,000 left in the card, and I thought I couldn't waste it.

Lin Zao went to the deli again and bought all the steamed buns, mantou, braised dishes and so on. She only breathed a sigh of relief when she had used up the last penny on her card.

Looking at the time, it was already quite late; presumably, the goods had already been delivered to the warehouse.

Lin Zao rushed to the warehouse and saw that the huge warehouse was full of supplies.

Lin Zao took one last look at the dark sky, then waved his hand and put all the supplies into his spatial storage, almost filling it to the brim.

With a "boom," Lin Zao felt a sharp pain in his head, and his vision went white.

Oh no!

Excessive use of mental energy!

Lin Zao exerted all her strength to avoid fainting to the ground. She slowly leaned against the wall and vaguely heard the cries of children and screams of people running away.

"Mother, Mother, don't die..."

Lin Zao forced her eyes open. The sky was bright, and she felt a wave of dizziness as her mind was filled with a jumble of memories.

Looking at the two children who had fallen into her arms, their dirty, dark, and thin faces streaked with tears and snot, they were crying and screaming in anguish as they clung to her. They were a boy and a girl, both around three years old.

"Tiger Head, Ya Ya, Mommy's alright, be good! Don't cry!"

Looking at the emaciated twins, barely clothed, Lin Zao felt a pang of sorrow and reached out to hug and comfort them.

Fortunately, it's midsummer now, so I'm not worried about the kids getting cold.

After the two children calmed down, Lin Zao looked at the fleeing refugees around her and realized that she had traveled through time, from the modern era to the unknown Great Zhou Dynasty.

The emperor of the Great Zhou Dynasty was incompetent, listened to treacherous officials, and waged wars everywhere, causing widespread suffering among the people.

In addition, natural disasters in the past two years have caused drought in farmland and locust infestations, resulting in no harvest. People are so hungry that they have even stripped the bark off the trees on the mountains to eat.

Before they could recover, a gang of bandits came to their town and committed arson, murder, and looting, causing unrest in many nearby villages as well.

Those who fled were people who had no choice but to abandon their homes.

Her previous life was that of someone who was robbed of her belongings by her sister-in-law while fleeing, and was pushed down into a tree, hitting her head and dying. Who knew that she would wake up and become her.

The original owner's name was also Lin Zao. Four years ago, Tang Jian was conscripted into the army. In order to leave an heir for her son, Lin Zao was bought by Tang's mother to be her daughter-in-law.

The day after the wedding, Tang Jian hurriedly left with the conscription team and was said to have gone to Ganzhou. For five years, Tang Jian did not send back a single word.

Everyone in the village says Tang Jian is dead!
