Chapter 234 You're still alive

So the only people who went to the Lin residence were Lin Zao, Tang Jian, a coachman, and a stranger who suddenly appeared.

Tang Jian explained to Lin Zao, "He was handpicked by me from the Dark Pavilion. You can just call him Eleven, Madam."

The Dark Pavilion was a force he and Zheng Ziwen secretly cultivated, and Eleven was considered one of the best among them.

On this trip to the Lin residence, they couldn't be without anyone they could use. Tian Bu'er had to stay home to look after the children, so Tang Jian had no choice but to call Eleven out from the shadows.

However, now that Shiyi has made his appearance, it's no longer appropriate for him to remain hidden in the shadows. Tang Jian's decision to do this indicates that he has already made plans.

Sun Ding and Tian Bu'er have always been the only ones helping the couple, and there haven't been enough people to go around. This National Day holiday is a good opportunity to make up for it.

It's not that they lack people who can use them, but rather that they lack people like Sun Ding and Tian Bu'er who are easy to use.

A group of people arrived at the gate of the Lin residence in a carriage.

The Lin family truly lived up to its reputation as one of the wealthiest families in Yaozhou. The main gate alone was incredibly luxurious, and the Lin mansion's territory was enormous from afar. It took half a day to drive around the outer wall in a carriage.

The carriage stopped in front of the Lin residence, and Eleven landed lightly on the ground, standing with his sword in his arms.

Tang Jian and Lin Zao did not get out of the carriage. Instead, they lifted the carriage curtain and said to the driver, "Go and knock on the door."

Fortunately, there were two servants guarding the entrance to the Lin residence. When they saw a carriage parked in front of the Lin residence, they guessed that a guest had arrived.

The Lin family was, after all, a business, and had many customers coming and going, so they were used to it.

Therefore, when they saw the driver walking towards them, they took the initiative to ask him.

"Does the guest have a visiting card?"

Coachman: "Our general's wife is Miss Lin the Third from your esteemed household. We heard that her father, Master Lin the Second, has returned, so our lady came back to visit him. Please inform the master of the Lin family of this honor."

The two servants of the Lin family looked at each other in surprise.

Third Miss?

Is it the third young lady who is said to have passed away?

Judging from this person's words, the Third Miss has become the General's wife?

The two looked at the carriage but couldn't see anything wrong. However, they noticed that the man holding the sword next to the carriage had a very dangerous look in his eyes.

The two were startled by Eleven's gaze and quickly regained their senses.

He bowed and apologized towards the direction of the carriage, saying, "Please wait a moment, esteemed guests, I will go in and inform them."

One of them quickly ran inside, leaving the other person standing guard outside.

About the time it takes to drink a cup of tea later, a few people came out of the Lin residence.

The leader, seeing the carriage outside, hesitated before asking, "Is it Third Sister who's back?"

Lin Zao and Tang Jian, who were sitting in the carriage, exchanged a glance upon hearing the sound. The person who came out should be Lin Shaohua, the eldest young master of the Lin family.

Tang Jian had previously shown Lin Zao the detailed relationships between the members of the Lin family.

This Lin Shaohua is the eldest son of Master Lin, and it is said that he is highly regarded by Master Lin.

This Master Lin had five children: his eldest son, Lin Shaohua; his second daughter, Lin Yuan, who was also the eldest daughter of the Lin family according to her birth order; and his third daughter, Lin Fu, who was the fourth daughter of the Lin family.

There are two other illegitimate sons, but we won't go into that for now.

Lin Zao is the only daughter of the second master of the Lin family, and the third young lady of the Lin family.

There was also Lin Tang, the eldest daughter of the third master of the Lin family, who was born out of wedlock. She was the second young lady of the Lin family.

Tang Jian opened the carriage door and jumped down first, then helped Lin Zao down from the carriage.

After regaining her footing, Lin Zao looked at the man who called her "Third Sister" at the entrance of the Lin residence.

He was around 30 years old, with a shrewd and capable look on his face, a smile on his lips, and impeccably dressed.

The man saw Lin Zao with an expression of both surprise and delight.

Somewhat incredulously, he took a few steps toward Lin Zao.

"Third sister, is that really you? You're still alive!"
