"I contacted them yesterday. They all live together, and I heard the temperature is extremely high. I think other than supplies being in short supply, there shouldn't be any other problems. Right now, as long as the temperature is high enough, everything else is pretty easy. Our city is still staying above 0 degrees, which I think is pretty good. It's just a little cold, and if you need to go to the hospital for any problems, it's not so convenient. I heard doctors' working hours have been significantly adjusted. I wonder if there will be any other impacts later on?"
"At least we can still live in our own homes now. They have to live together, otherwise the heating will not be available. Compared to that, I think we are very lucky."
"If the weather keeps getting colder, I suspect we'll be in the same boat. Sooner or later, we'll reach a point where it's impossible to live in our current building. After all, the empty space is too vast. Even if many people from other provinces come to seek refuge, they've already moved into a centralized management area, which is completely different from ours. Does anyone have any thoughts? It would be great if you could share your thoughts."
"My place is different from yours. You live in the city, right? Although I'm on the edge of the city, I built my own house, so it's nearby. It seems that heating won't be a big problem in the winter. I just don't know what will happen later. Right now, it looks like we can handle temperatures of -60 or -70 degrees Celsius without any problems, because we built these houses ourselves, so the materials we use are relatively good. We're not worried about other problems for now. As for warmth, the quality is definitely much better than your buildings. The problem is that we don't have heating on all sides because we have our own house. We have enough supplies, but we can't compare to you in terms of safety. You live on the 20th or 30th floor, which is definitely the safest, but it should be colder! We haven't started heating our own home yet, we use the centralized heating system. If it stops one day, we'll start heating."
"Actually, these past few nights, we've been lighting the stove, worried that if the heating goes out, everyone will freeze to death in their sleep. So we've started using up fuel. When the weather first got cold, we were running around in the mountains, bringing all the firewood home, whether it was wet or dry. In special times, we don't worry about whether it produces ash or not; as long as it can be used, it's definitely good stuff."
"At this point, the quality of the charcoal isn't important. As long as we can use it, that's all that matters. Aside from the temperature, I don't care about anything else. As long as we can have a fire in a warm environment and stay well fed and clothed like before, that's all that matters. Honestly, it's incredibly cold inside at 0 degrees Celsius. If possible, we'd like to be able to keep it warmer. I don't know what to do next, but judging by the current developments, this is going to be a very serious matter."
"Those of you living outside should keep quiet, lest you attract the attention of those with ulterior motives. They might just rob you and see what you'll do. They might not just rob you of your belongings, but take your house for themselves. You should know that your house is a warm treasure. Unlike our buildings, we don't even have a kang. To keep warm, we have to use modern technology. But at this point, you can't see where we can find any heating stoves or anything like that."
"Aren't there always people posting about their heating equipment online? I've been following it before, and some people have multiple stoves at home, and it still feels like spring all year round. Everyone else is wearing thick cotton-padded jackets, but they're still wearing short sleeves, not realizing how wasteful it is."
"You're talking about that mysterious community, right? I saw their video here too. These people are truly amazing. I don't know where they get all those goodies."
However, in the apocalypse, what is more important for everyone is to kill time. Since they have not yet reached the point where they have no food or water, they naturally want to make their lives more interesting. Unfortunately, it is difficult for them to maintain this because it is too cold outside. If they want to invite people to their home to play mahjong, they can only do so within the corridor. If the distance is far, it is not safe for them to go back because the temperature is constantly dropping.
But in Little Bunny's neighborhood, there aren't such worries. All they have to do is plan their daily routines. There's really no need to do anything else. After all, they don't have to worry about food or drink. Finding people playing poker or mahjong in the hallway isn't that much of a hassle, so their conversations are different from those of ordinary people.
"Did everyone get supplies today? I heard they've switched to dehydrated vegetables, and the other fresh vegetables are frozen. They're definitely not going to taste good, but you can make do with them. They're still okay for feeding small animals."
"It's not a waste to feed these things to the small animals. They can lay eggs, right? Then we can have fresh eggs to eat."
"Not really. There's no such thing as waste. A pot of stew we make ourselves is delicious, but I didn't buy enough curry before, and I don't know what to do with it later. After all, it seems impossible to make this myself. If possible, who can exchange it with me? I can exchange it with a carton of Coke, which is all fresh."
