Chapter 32 Spend Time Together
The late spring sunlight gilded the racecourse with a layer of gold, and the crabapple blossoms blooming outside the distant fence were blown by the wind into waves of snow-white flowers.
When Tang Ximian shot the arrow into the eighth ring for the third time, Si Yankai laughed while leaning against the mahogany arrow rack. His silver-gray riding suit showed off his slender waistline, and the gold-plated "SK" letters on his cufflinks flickered with his movements - those were the antique cufflinks that Tang Ximian had snatched from the Yanjing Auction House last year.
"No? Am I hitting the eight rings? Why can't I hit the ten rings?" Tang Ximian pulled the bow again and hit the eight rings again, leaving himself speechless.
“Should I buy a lottery ticket?”
Looking at Tang Ximian's sincere look, Si Yankai couldn't help laughing out loud.
“He’s quite capable too.”
"It seems that in some ways, yes."
Si Yankai thought for a moment, raised the bow and arrow, and pulled it casually.
“Puff——” It hit the red dot right there.
"Would you like me to teach you, baby?"
Looking at the handsome face in front of him, Tang Ximian remained unmoved. He turned around and placed the sandalwood bow across in front of his brother. The bow and arrow lightly swept across the dark-patterned cuffs of Tang Li's custom-made suit.
"Brother, show Si Yankai some skills and let him show off!"
Tang Li smiled dotingly at his brother, took the bow and arrow, picked up two arrows and put them on the rack, aimed at the bull's eye and let go.
As expected, all of them were correct.
Deep in the birch forest, Derich took off his military-grade observation mirror and slowly licked his canine teeth with the tip of his tongue.
Through the telescope, when Tang Li bent down to pick up the arrow, his gun-gray suit pants formed a thrilling curve at the waist and hips.
He tapped the iris pattern carved on the mirror tube with his finger, and suddenly pressed his whip to the throat of his subordinate who was about to speak but hesitated: "Don't even think about touching Tang Li, he is not someone you can afford to offend."
"Yes—I understand."
Listening to the subordinates' reports coming from the headset, Tang Li remained unmoved. He just glanced at Si Yankai when Tang Ximian turned around. Si Yankai nodded.
But Ah Mian had already guessed it. Si Yankai, who had already been threatened and forbidden to tell anyone, could only think silently in his heart, hoping that Tang Li could hear his voice.
Tang Li, who did not receive any radio waves, led Tang Ximian to the hall.
Tang Ximian turned around and winked at Si Yankai, signaling him to hurry up and catch up.
"Looks like I'm here just in time." Delish took off his sunglasses, and his emerald green pupils locked onto Tang Li who was wiping a silver fork.
The waiter behind him was moving in and out of the magnificent hall with iced champagne in his hands, and the water droplets condensed on the crystal bottle were falling at Tang Li's feet.
It was at this point that the lunch invitation came in.
The linen-suited gallery owner had just said, "I wonder if I'd be honored," when Derich had already placed the goblet in his hand on the coffee table. The cherries rolled to the floor, leaving a bloody stain on the carpet.
"His lunch has been on my schedule since three weeks ago. Here's my invitation." Derich reached out to take the gold-embossed invitation handed to him by the person behind him. When it was close to Tang Li's ear, it smelled of perfume mixed with gunpowder.
He leaned forward like a cheetah enclosing its territory, but added in German, "Including dessert."
Si Yankai grabbed Tang Ximian's wrist, stopping him from walking towards Tang Li, and whispered something in his ear. The boy then leaned against him, covered his mouth with his hand, and began to whisper.
They watched as Tang Li looked at Delish with a hint of anger, but they also did not miss the crimson color on the tips of his white jade-like ears.
Delish's fingertips were stroking the pale blue veins on the back of Tang Li's neck, and their brother, who had always been decisive and ruthless, actually allowed that fragile neck to remain under the fangs of the beast.
