Chapter 27 Spend Time Together
The crystal chandelier cast tiny spots of light on the long table, and Si Yankai's fingers unconsciously stroked the edge of the celadon bowl.
The man opposite him, named Delish, was picking up emerald shrimps with silver chopsticks, his movements as elegant as those of an old-fashioned aristocrat.
"I heard that Si-san and Mian-mian have known each other since they were very young?"
Delish suddenly spoke, and the standard pronunciation of the word "Mianmian" made Si Yankai's temples jump.
Tang Li, sitting on the mahogany chair, coughed lightly, and his gilded cufflinks flashed a cold light under the light.
Tang Ximian put a piece of boiled fish into Si Yankai's bowl and said, "Mr. Delish's Chinese is really good. He even pronounces my nickname 'so good'."
He bit the tip of his chopsticks and laughed, his knees under the tablecloth secretly bumping into Si Yankai's legs.
"After all, I've lived with your brother for so long, so I've definitely learned a little bit."
Derich swirled his wine glass, the crimson liquid drawing swirling lines on the glass's surface. "But I still need to learn more..." He suddenly leaned across the table, the scent of cologne wafting across his face. "Like, how can I quickly woo someone?"
Si Yankai's chopsticks clanged into the rice.
Tang Li's spoon made a harsh sound in the porcelain bowl, and he glared at him warningly: "Delish, eat your meal."
Then, he picked up a piece of sweet and sour pork and put it into Tang Ximian's bowl. "Mianmian, eat more and see if it still tastes like you did before."
Seeing this differential treatment, Derich smiled helplessly and could only turn around and talk to Si Yankai about the good wine in his country. Seeing that Tang Ximian was already chatting enthusiastically with his brother about college life, Si Yankai only responded to Derich perfunctorily occasionally.
"Brother, good night. Go to bed early and don't work late again."
Tang Ximian was wearing his pajamas, obediently taking the hot milk that his brother had prepared for him as usual.
"I understand, little adult. You should go to bed early too. Good night."
Tang Li touched his brother's head, watched his brother enter the room, turned around, lowered his footsteps, and went downstairs to the study.
"Huh? President Tang actually lied to his own brother. Isn't that inappropriate?" Before Tang Li could work quietly for too long, Qianqian's voice broke the silence.
"If you have nothing to do, just go back to your doghouse. What are you trying to gain by staying here for free food and drinks?"
Tang Li turned the pen in his hand and leaned back in his chair in a relaxed manner.
Their eyes slowly met, neither of them giving in.
A slight cool breeze blew in from the half-open window, blowing up Derich's overly long bangs and revealing his broken eyebrows.
As the atmosphere grew increasingly tense, Delish suddenly laughed, walked over and closed the window. He stood next to the chair and slowly leaned closer to Tang Li's face. "Of course it's the picture..."
"Brother, I caught you..., ah, ah" Tang Ximian pushed open the door of the study, intending to give his brother a good talk. Unexpectedly, when he came in, he saw that there were only two fingers between his brother and Delish's face, and they were about to kiss.
This scene made Tang Ximian stutter all of a sudden, feeling a little overwhelmed.
"Well... I didn't see anything. Sorry to bother you. I'll leave first." Tang Ximian ran away in a hurry, not even caring about the original purpose of his visit.
Tang Li, who had just pushed Delish open with force, saw his brother running away quickly and the wide-open door. He pressed his forehead helplessly and glanced at Delish with anger.
"Hey, hey, hey, have some sense, it's your brother who came here on his own, it's none of my business!
"Delish spread his hands with an innocent look. Seeing Tang Li stand up, he also stood up.
"Where are you going? Not working overtime anymore?"
"Go to sleep. You'd better pray that my brother didn't misunderstand anything, or get out of my house."
"Ah? No way..."
