Su Wan looked at the mass of Western Rong soldiers kneeling on the snow and felt a little awkward and embarrassed.
What have I done to deserve so many people kneeling before me?
She simply cured the King of Xirong's illness. The King of Xirong rewarded her so much, granting her a large, fertile fiefdom where she could grow potatoes. Such gratitude was already enough; there was no need for such extravagance.
She was sitting on the saddle, lost in thought, when Wei Jingzhuo tugged at her sleeve and whispered, "This is the etiquette for paying respects to the King of Xirong. They won't get up unless you speak."
Su Wan suddenly realized what was happening and hurriedly called out, "Everyone, get up quickly, the ground is cold."
She was afraid the Western Rong soldiers in the distance wouldn't hear her, so she shouted with all her might, but her voice cracked. Realizing something was wrong, she quickly covered her mouth.
Both sides' soldiers suppressed their laughter with straight faces, sweeping away the heavy atmosphere of the previous confrontation between the two armies.
The Western Rong soldiers stood up one after another. Luna came to the front of the formation and said to Su Wan, "Goddess, why have you come as well?"
Su Wan said, "I've come to advise you to stop your advance. What Sister Chu said is true; I went through this with her."
She briefly recounted how Prince Danma had been detained by Xie Maoliang, and concluded by asking, "Do you believe what I'm saying?"
Luna said, "We naturally believe what the goddess says."
He turned to the several commanders behind him and said, "What do you think?"
The other Western Rong generals said, "Since the goddess says so, then we will halt our advance. However, the king has ordered that the crown prince must be rescued. We cannot withdraw until we have seen the crown prince return safely."
Su Wan was overjoyed to see that the other party agreed, and said to Lu Na, "As long as you don't attack Youzhou, I promise you I will definitely rescue Prince Danma."
Chu Mingyao had told her that Xie Maoliang and Ge Fanghai would never dare to harm the Crown Prince. If they did, the Western Rong army would see Southern Chu as an enemy. Even without the Great Jin taking action, the Western Rong would wage war against Southern Chu.
She first calmed the Western Rong and stopped their advance. Next, she went to rescue Prince Danma.
Luna said, “Goddess, I have a perfect idea. Our army will temporarily station itself in your fiefdom and wait for the Great Jin army to rescue the Crown Prince. We will send a troop of warriors to assist you in rescuing the Crown Prince.”
Su Wan said to Wei Jingzhuo, "Ah Jin, what do you think?"
She actually quite liked Luna's idea. With 50,000 Western Rong troops stationed on her fiefdom, no one would dare to destroy her crops.
Wei Jingzhuo said, "It's alright, it would be good to have a general from the Western Rong army assist us."
Su Wan said, "Then it's settled. You can choose your men. By the way, with so many of your troops stationed in my fiefdom, make sure you keep a close eye on your horses and don't let them eat the potato vines in the fields."
Luna said, "Goddess, rest assured, I will remind everyone."
He returned to the army camp and discussed the matter with several commanders of ten thousand men. They unanimously recommended Luna. He had the most dealings with Su Wan, often came to the Great Jin to do business, and was also familiar with the roads near Youzhou.
Runab had no choice but to do this, so he selected a thousand strong cavalrymen from the army and led them to Suwan. The remaining Western Rong generals began to lead their troops back to the main camp.

The Western Rong army has halted its advance. Wei Jingzhuo has drawn three thousand cavalry from the troops guarding Youzhou and combined them with the cavalry led by Lu Na, making a total of four thousand cavalry, which is more than enough to deal with Xie Maoliang's two thousand men.
Su Wan told Wei Jingzhuo that her maternal grandfather was safe. Wei Jingzhuo was very happy and said to her, "As long as we rescue Crown Prince Danma, this conspiracy will be completely resolved."
Everyone returned to Youzhou and rested at the prefect's residence. Su Wan knew this was where her father had once stayed, but she was too tired to reminisce and went straight to bed.

After getting up, she looked in the mirror and found that the dark circles under her eyes caused by staying up late had mostly disappeared. She was very satisfied and went out to find Chu Mingyao.
Chu Mingyao was already dressed and waiting for her inside.
"Sister Chu, the carriage is ready," Su Wan said, beaming. "We'll get in the carriage and set off after we've eaten."
Chu Mingyao said, "I thought we were going to ride horses. Can't you ride a horse, little sister?"
Su Wan asked, "Does that mean you can ride a horse, sister?"
“I didn’t know how to ride at first either,” Chu Mingyao said. “After I married Your Highness, every woman in the Western Rong could ride a horse. I thought that as the Crown Princess, I couldn’t not know how to ride, so I learned from Your Highness. I learned in half a month.”
Su Wan remembered that there was a fine horse in the General's mansion stable, and quickly grabbed Chu Mingyao and said, "That's great, sister, please teach me."
Chu Mingyao asked, puzzled, "Why doesn't your husband teach you?"
"He's a very busy man; he's nowhere to be seen once I wake up in the morning. He's very busy with military affairs, so I felt bad asking him to teach me."
"Alright, once Your Highness is rescued, I'll personally teach you how to ride a horse."
After Su Wan finished her meal with Chu Mingyao, she went to the front hall and saw Wei Jingzhuo and Lu Na listening to the scouts' report.
The scout reported, "Xie Maoliang led his troops away from Suiyang yesterday, taking a detour to escape towards Xiping Pass. We have been secretly tracking them."
Wei Jingzhuo said, "Xie Maoliang went to Xiping Pass, intending to escape into the pass. Hasn't he already surrendered to Southern Chu?"
