Chapter 229 The plan is complete; lure the enemy into the trap.
Ren Peng felt he was having a really bad day, extremely bad.
I stepped on a banana peel as soon as I stepped outside, fell flat on my backside, and almost burst into tears from the pain. After I recovered, I discovered that all sorts of fruit peels were scattered in front of my house!
Banana peels, apple peels, pear peels, orange peels... the fruit selection at any fruit shop isn't as complete as what's available right in front of my shop...
The property management must be completely out of control; there's such a huge pile of fruit peels right outside the residents' doors!
I angrily called the property management office, and a thin young man with a broom and dustpan came out, bowing and scraping with a forced smile.
Looking at the young man's humble appearance and thinking about their wages, Ren Peng sighed. He didn't continue to scold him, but instead advised, "Young people still need to learn a skill. Your current job has no future!"
"Yes, yes, Mr. Ren, you're right!" The skinny young man quickly swept the trash in front of Ren Peng's door clean and even mopped the ground until it was sparkling clean.
Looking at the young man's appearance, it was clear that he hadn't listened to his advice. Ren Peng shook his head, pulled up his waistband with both hands, and walked into the elevator with his beer belly sticking out. He then pressed the floor button for the basement parking lot.
After the elevator doors closed and the displayed floor level dropped by one, the thin young man took out his phone from his pocket and quickly made a call.
"Hey, fat pig, this is Monkey. The target is heading to the parking lot. It's up to you now."
"Okay, don't worry, everything is ready!"
Just as Ren Peng entered the parking lot, a light near his car suddenly went out, and the light dimmed instantly.
He initially thought it was just an accident, but with each step Ren Peng took forward, one of the lights above the car went out! The entire parking lot was quiet and deserted, with only the sound of his own footsteps, breathing, and the buzzing sound of the circuit malfunctioning.
Even though it was broad daylight, Ren Peng felt as if he had stepped into a ghost town...
All signs indicated that it was not a good day to go out. But thinking of Mr. He's invitation and the furniture storefront, Ren Pengqiang mustered his courage, took out his phone, and turned on the flashlight to illuminate the area.
The parking lot was deserted, and the lights were broken. Combined with the limited beam of the flashlight, the atmosphere became even more eerie.
Taking a deep breath, Ren Peng spotted his car and strode confidently to it. He opened the door, got in, and quickly locked all four doors before finally feeling a sense of security.
Just as Ren Peng relaxed, the lights that had just gone out one by one started to light up again, and the entire underground parking lot quickly returned to its bright state.
It was probably just a problem with the electrical circuit; the property management has fixed it now, so everything's fine...
After comforting himself for a moment, Ren Peng inserted the car key, stepped on the gas, turned the steering wheel, and the car slowly drove out of the parking lot onto the highway leading to the Haitian Hotel.
After leaving the parking lot, the journey was smooth, which put Ren Peng at ease. Looking at the blue sky and white clouds outside, and at the lively atmosphere, his mind, which had been frightened in the parking lot, slowly recovered, and he even started humming a song with interest.
Just when he thought things had turned around, the car suddenly lurched, followed by a faint hissing sound. With his extensive driving experience, he quickly realized it was a tire problem! Most likely, a flat tire!
If there were no leak, we could still manage, but now that there's a leak, continuing to drive would be dangerous.
Damn! Today is just one of the worst days ever!
Ren Peng got out of the car helplessly, walked around it, and carefully examined all four tires. Finally, he found three rusty nails on the right front tire.
Two of the nails were completely embedded in the tire, and the third one was also embedded, but it was slightly crooked and had scratched a small hole in the tire, from which air was now hissing.
I pressed down hard on the tire and it made a slight dent. It's definitely not safe to drive on now; I either need to change the tire or call a tow truck to take it to a shop for a replacement.
There's a jack in the trunk; if it were my younger self, changing a tire by myself wouldn't be a problem. But now he's a middle-aged man in his late forties or early fifties, already quite overweight, and changing a tire by himself is practically a fantasy...
Damn it! Ren Peng kicked the punctured tire hard, then helplessly pulled out his phone and called the tow truck driver.

A small car covered in graffiti, its original color almost unrecognizable, turned into the intersection and stopped in the middle. A chubby young man got out of the driver's seat, furtively took a yellow warning sign from the trunk, and placed it in the center of the intersection.
The warning sign reads: "This road is under repair."
The chubby young man then got back into his car, stepped on the gas, and chased after Ren Peng in the direction he was driving. Less than five minutes later, he saw Ren Peng's flashy red car in the distance.
"Hey buddy, what's wrong with the car? Why is it stopped here? Can you move it a little?" The chubby young man rolled down the car window, stuck his head out, and shouted loudly at Ren Peng.
"The tire got punctured by a nail, it's leaking air, and I can't move it..."
