Chapter 31: The Ghostly Yuan Aijia

In a food stall not far from the port, Yuan Aijia, her face flushed, holding a glass of wine, said, "How is it going? What kind of movie are you planning to make next? Has Director Wu given it some thought?"

"Me? Maybe I'll do a suspense film."

Yuan Aijia burped and asked dully, "Suspense genre?"

"That's right."

Judging from the current Hong Kong market, suspense is indeed an unpopular tear-jerking genre, and it is rare to see suspense on the box office charts. However, before traveling through time, Wu Changyun was also a loyal and enthusiastic fan of American, Japanese and Korean dramas, including "The Truman Show", "Gone Girl" and even "The Devotion of Suspect X". Wu Changyun can even shoot TV series. It would be very interesting to adapt "Prison Break" into a Mandarin version.

Moreover, although the quality of Hong Kong films being shot now is a bit poor, including Shaw Brothers' films, after the technology matured, they were re-processed and hundreds of millions of yuan were spent to produce restored versions. Many of the Hong Kong films that Wu Changyun saw before traveling through time were restored.

Wu Changyun gave the three of them a brief account of the plot of "The Accidental Murder", leaving them stunned.

"You're really a genius." Fu Shun saw that Wu Changyun was telling stories with rich details and full plots. It was hard to imagine that Wu Changyun, who came from the martial arts industry like him, was actually a genius screenwriter.

The more Yuan Aijia listened, the more shocked she became. She felt that the person in front of her was like an innumerable treasure. Not only did he have a unique shooting style, but even his screenwriting was ingenious.

All I can say is that in the film industry, the advantage brought by Wu Changyun's time travel is overwhelming.

Until dusk, the four of them sat by the sea and talked about their respective goals.

Fushun sat with two pairs of shoes in hand, gazing at the distant coastline that merged with the sky. Gazing at the chaotic expanse of deep blue, Fushun rubbed his eyes, sighed, and said, "I don't have any special skills. I just learned some martial arts. If I were asked to make a movie, I wouldn't have the brains. Competition in every field is so fierce these days. Without money, you can't do anything."

"Perhaps the luckiest thing for me is to have met a brother like you." Fushun lay on the beach, looking a little lonely.

Wu Changyun could understand Fushun's feelings. If he was not a time traveler, it would be almost impossible for him to make a name for himself in Hong Kong. Wu Changyun had also read the struggle history of many celebrities, and he had indeed seen the professionalism of many actors, but the vast majority of people were pushed onto this path on their way to growth. Some may say it was opportunity, and some may say it was acquired effort, but they all just worked harder to achieve their goals under the arrangement of fate.

Zhou Huiting comes from a relatively well-off family. She admits, "I don't have such lofty ideals. Proving to my father that I'm right and finding the right person for me is enough for me. Ideally, I'd have a house in Kowloon, a decent car, and hopefully a nanny, and more..."

"Stop it, stop it. You'll never stop talking if you keep going on." Fushun couldn't help but waved his hand to interrupt Zhou Huiting's enjoyment.

When it was Yuan Aijia's turn to speak, she hesitated for a long time and didn't say anything. Her ideal was not as rich as Zhou Huiting's, nor as simple as Fu Shun's. She felt a little embarrassed to say it.

"Say it, say it." Zhou Huiting pulled Yuan Aijia's arm and shook it.

“I guess I just want to live a more exciting life.”

"Is that it?" Fushun looked at Yuan Aijia in surprise.

Wu Changyun chuckled. It was not difficult to see that Yuan Aijia had no financial burden. She could afford that Ford and even talk to Ford's directors. The starting point she was standing at was already the finish line that many people would never reach in their lifetime.

Seeing that Fushun and Zhou Huiting were still asking questions, Yuan Aijia started to act like a rogue. She really didn't have such a vague dream as them. She might be considering a year, or a month, but definitely not a lifetime.

"Okay, okay, now it's our Director Wu's turn."

"Me?" Wu Changyun thought about how much they had drunk, so he stood up and said with a heroic look, "I'll experience everything I didn't in my last life."

"Crazy, crazy." Fushun shouted, and several people played and fought together.

The other three people present all regarded Wu Changyun's words as drunken ramblings, little knowing that this was the most honest Wu Changyun had been about his life experience since he traveled through time.
