Challenge Nile River Arena (Part 4)

Challenge Nile River Arena (Part 4)

Giant ferns, stacked like umbrellas, towered into the sky. Herbivorous dinosaurs, over ten meters tall, slowly moved through them, their necks swaying leisurely. Occasionally, they paused, lowered their heads, plucked a few emerald fern leaves, and swallowed them, their movements slow and peaceful.

In front of them, those several-meter-tall ferns were nothing but green grass under their feet. When the breeze blew, the large leaves swayed slightly, as if they were afraid of the approach of these giants.

Lin Bai stood where he was, his palms tightened slightly, his fingertips rubbing against the cold edge of the computer, and he felt a little relieved.

She still hasn't figured out how this underground world could be the Jurassic World. Fortunately, she still has the light brain and hasn't traveled through time.

After all, her grandma is waiting for her.

Lin Bai took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down.

She looked down at the computer. The signal was still weak, and even geolocation couldn't be activated. This meant that even the live broadcast might not be able to receive a signal from where she was. Was it an error in the simulation?

Lin Bai looked up, watching the massive creatures slowly advance. Their steps were steady, and every movement caused the ground to tremble. She squinted her eyes. These creatures were highly similar in form to the dinosaurs of ancient Earth, but their color was darker, and their scales had a metallic sheen. They were clearly not ordinary creatures.

She took a few cautious steps back, hiding in the shadow of a giant fern, and tried to collect her thoughts.

While she was thinking, she suddenly heard a rustling sound in her ears, as if something was approaching.

Lin Bai quickly held his breath, subconsciously pressed the dagger at his waist with his hand, and looked in the direction of the sound.

Behind the ferns not far away, a creature slightly taller than her was slowly poking its head out.

Its skin was covered in fine feathers, and its amber eyes stared at her with curiosity.

Lin Bai's pupils shrank slightly.

It was a velociraptor, or rather, an evolved velociraptor.

Its limbs were long and slender, with slightly curved claws, displaying incredible explosive power. But what caught Lin Bai's attention most was the shimmering metal device embedded in its neck, making the dinosaur look mechanical.

This means that it is not a natural organism, but man-made.

Lin Bai's heart suddenly sank.

Is this entire underground world man-made?

While she was slightly stunned, the velociraptor moved.

It jerked its head up, its amber eyes suddenly sharp. A second later, a low grunt escaped its throat, its muscles tensed, and its claws scraped lightly across the ground, assuming a hunting stance.

The velociraptor's predatory instinct locked onto Lin Bai. It stomped its front paws hard, its sharp claws cutting through the dirt as it lunged towards Lin Bai like a catapult.

Lin Bai knew she couldn't avoid it. She took a deep breath, lowered her body slightly, and locked her eyes on the velociraptor. She gripped the dagger tightly in her right hand and raised her left hand slightly, waiting for her chance to strike.

The velociraptor paused for a moment, as if observing her weakness. Suddenly, it kicked its hind legs hard and pounced on her like a hurricane. Its sharp claws broke through the air, carrying with them a fierce gust of wind, aiming for a fatal blow to Lin Bai's vitals.

Lin Bai misstepped and barely avoided the attack. In an instant, he heard a sharp whistling of wind in his ears. The velociraptor suddenly twisted its body in mid-air and swept its tail across.

She bent her waist and narrowly avoided the fatal sweep, but the velociraptor was incredibly fast, and its claws suddenly flipped over, blocking all of Lin Bai's escape routes!

Lin Bai gritted her teeth, knowing that no matter how she dodged, she would not be able to withstand this ferocious attack. She suddenly raised her right arm and blocked the velociraptor's claw with a dagger. The moment the steel clashed, her arm went numb and her body was violently knocked back several steps until she crashed into a huge tree fern, and only then did she manage to stabilize herself.

The velociraptor growled, as if realizing that she was running out of strength. It suddenly jumped up, looking down from above, and its sharp claws went straight for Lin Bai's throat!

Lin Bai's heart sank, and he thought to himself, "Forget it, I can only take a gamble."

Without hesitation, she shouted, "Seventy-two transformations are unrestrained, somersault clouds can travel thousands of miles without a trace, crushing the sky, dare to fight the nine heavens! Great Sage Equaling Heaven, Sun Wukong, please descend into my realm!"

In an instant, the weather changed suddenly, and a strong wind blew. Lin Bai only felt the spiritual energy around him surging. A golden light suddenly appeared in front of his eyes, and a tall figure stepped out from the void!

A set of golden armor gleamed brightly, surrounded by rosy clouds, and the Ruyi golden cudgel in his hand shook casually.

The man laughed out loud, "I, Old Sun, am here!"

Before he finished speaking, he swung the golden cudgel across the air, as fast as lightning, and smashed it hard at the velociraptor.

The velociraptor seemed to feel a strong threat, its eyes narrowed suddenly, and its body retreated violently, but it could not avoid the shocking blow.

With a loud bang, the giant beast roared and rolled out, knocking down a large area of ferns.

Lin Bai was still catching her breath when she looked up. She saw Sun Wukong leaning on his golden cudgel with one hand, looking at her with a burning gaze: "Young man, you called me out again. How are you going to thank me?"

Before Lin Bai could reply, the velociraptor slowly rose from the broken ferns, its amber pupils fixed on him. It let out a sharp, piercing roar, a long, mournful sound that pierced the jungle and echoed throughout this underground world.

Sun Wukong raised an eyebrow when he heard the voice, his eyes turned, and he smiled and said, "Why, you can't beat me, old Sun, and you still want to call for help?"

The velociraptor ignored him and slowly retreated. The metal device on its neck flickered slightly, like some kind of signal transmitter. Lin Bai's heart sank, realizing that something was wrong. This guy was really calling for his companions.

Sure enough, a moment later, there was a sudden chaotic noise in the surrounding dense forests. The branches and leaves rustled, and the ground shook slightly, rolling in like thunder.

Lin Bai held his breath, subconsciously clenched the dagger in his hand, and looked around.

Soon, pairs of amber animal eyes emerged from the shadows, reflecting the faint light, densely packed.

Groups of velociraptors have surrounded them.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong laughed heartily, his eyes ablaze with fighting spirit. He heaved his golden cudgel to his shoulder, his gaze sweeping over the approaching velociraptors. He exclaimed excitedly, "It's been ages since I've seen such a lively scene!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the velociraptors in front suddenly launched an attack. The largest velociraptor was the first to pounce, striking the Great Sage in the face.

Sun Wukong's eyes were slightly stern, and he suddenly swung the golden cudgel, which rolled down like a raging river!

"Bang!"

The golden cudgel collided with the raptor's claws, sparks flying and the sound of metal clashing was deafening! The raptor's massive body was thrown back several steps, but it managed to steady itself and sweep its long tail.

Sun Wukong stepped on the ground and flew into the air. He pressed down the golden cudgel and used the momentum to flip around in mid-air to avoid the attack. The moment he landed, he swept the cudgel across.

The club went straight for the raptor's neck. The raptor reacted extremely quickly, suddenly lowering its head. The metal device around its neck flickered slightly, and a light blue shield instantly appeared, blocking the attack.

Sun Wukong snorted coldly: "There is still some trick!"

However, at this moment, the group of velociraptors could no longer hold back. They roared together and pounced from all directions at the same time!

Lin Bai's eyes narrowed, knowing that this battle would not end peacefully. She gritted her teeth and whispered, "Great Sage, be careful!"

Sun Wukong raised his golden cudgel, sweeping across like a violent storm, forcing back the raptors that were charging from all directions. His eyes blazed with fighting spirit, and he shouted, "Come on! Let me see if you beasts can withstand this blow!"

After saying that, he stepped forward, and his figure turned into a stream of light. The golden cudgel swept through the army with the force of thunder!

Suddenly, a velociraptor flashed a fierce gleam in its eyes. While Sun Wukong was still in mid-air, it suddenly leaped up, its sharp claws piercing the wind and heading straight for Sun Wukong's chest! This claw was as fast as lightning, and the cold light was so sharp that even armor made of alloy would be torn apart.

Sun Wukong just snorted coldly, his eyes flashed with brilliance, his body suddenly bent in mid-air, his back tensed, and the golden cudgel suddenly raised from bottom to top, hitting the velociraptor in the chest.

"Bang!"

With a loud bang, the metal device on the velociraptor's chest suddenly shattered, and its huge body was shaken away. It rolled several times in the air and fell to the ground with a bang, splashing a large amount of dust!

Upon seeing this, the remaining velociraptors roared loudly and attacked at the same time. More than ten velociraptors surrounded Sun Wukong in a semi-arc, with their sharp claws extended, intending to tear him to pieces!

Lin Bai stood at the back, feeling a chill run down his spine. These velociraptors were like a well-trained army, their coordination tight, their combat intelligence unmatched by any ordinary beast.

Sun Wukong, however, showed no fear at all. He shouted, "Alright! Let me see what you are capable of!"

He raised his arms, and the golden cudgel began to spin, stirring up a strong wind. The force turned into rolling air waves, blowing up dead leaves all over the sky.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Several velociraptors bore the brunt of the attack. They were swept by this tremendous force, howled miserably, and flew backwards, crashing heavily into a giant fern tree in the distance, causing its branches and leaves to fly everywhere.

But the remaining velociraptors were not afraid at all. They took advantage of the moment when their companions flew backwards and pounced on Sun Wukong at an even faster speed.

Sun Wukong's eyes flashed, and with a flick of his wrist, his golden cudgel abruptly shortened to half a foot, like a short staff. He bent his right leg slightly, spun his body, and instantly conjured countless afterimages at such a speed that it was impossible to keep up. This was the Somersault Cloud!

A velociraptor pounced in front of him, and Sun Wukong slapped it hard on the side of its neck with his left palm. The velociraptor's head tilted and it fainted immediately.

There were several muffled sounds in succession, and Sun Wukong swung his golden cudgel freely, either tapping, hitting, picking or sweeping. Each move was just right, and he repelled the velociraptors one by one.

But those velociraptors still did not retreat, as if they were not afraid of death at all. Even when their companions fell, they continued to attack frantically, with their eyes glowing with a strange red light, as if they were driven by some force.

Sun Wukong narrowed his eyes slightly, tapped the ground lightly with his golden cudgel, and whispered, "The person behind this doesn't care about these beasts at all."

At this moment, the velociraptor that fell to the ground first stood up again, shaking. The metal device on its neck flashed an even more violent red light, and it let out a sharper roar than before.

Then, more figures appeared in the jungle.

Lin Bai's pupils shrank and she felt a pain on her back. She turned around and saw another group of velociraptors rushing towards her, their number doubled as before, and behind her was a sneak attacking velociraptor.
