Chapter 19 Emergency Support, Golden Orcs Finally Appear

As their numbers dwindled, some knights finally couldn't bear the fear and turned to flee. Seeing this, Wayne and Derry shouted loudly, trying their best to maintain order, but in this chaotic scene, it was clear that no one obeyed their orders.

Under the pharmacist's careful care, the Count was finally able to speak. Gazing at the chaotic and hopeless scene outside the tent, the Count's eyes were solemn as he ordered Captain Vali, "Go and call Wayne and Derry."

When the two hurried to the Earl's bed, the Earl, holding up his weak body, looked at Captain Vali and said in a deep voice: "Lead the Knights and help them break out. Even if you all die in battle, you must get them out!" Vali couldn't help but ask, "What will you do?" A bitter and weak smile appeared on the corner of the Earl's mouth. He slowly shook his head and said in a low voice: "The orcs will not let me leave."

After hearing the Earl's words, Captain Vali's expression froze, a flicker of struggle flashing in his eyes. After a moment's hesitation, he silently nodded and turned to leave the tent. He took a deep breath, calmed himself, and then loudly ordered his men to quickly assemble the Knights.

When Wayne and Derry heard the Count's orders to break out, their faces were filled with determination. They said almost in unison, "We're not leaving. If we're going to die, let's die here together!" Upon hearing this, the Count was furious and suddenly began coughing violently, his face flushing crimson. The nearby pharmacist, panicking, hurriedly took out a healing potion and carefully fed it to the Count.

After a long while, the Earl slowly recovered. After his breathing stabilized a little, he looked at Wayne and Derry and said earnestly, "You must go! The family is in danger now, and we still need you to protect it. You shoulder a heavy responsibility, and you can't all die here. Listen to me and live with hope!"
