Chapter 20: Tragic Battlefield, Support Arrives

Two figures raced across the Frost Zero Plains at lightning speed. Betan, looking anxious, shouted to Del Luna as they ran, "We must get to Earl White as soon as possible and protect him. If anything happens to the Earl, Master Martin won't forgive us!" Del Luna nodded heavily, his eyes filled with solemnity. The two of them quickened their pace, kicking up a trail of dust.

At that moment, the Grand Canyon was filled with shouts and cries of blood, the battle reaching a fever pitch. The thick stench of blood filled every inch of the canyon air, making it sickening. The golden orc, like a war machine, tore through the ranks of the Tenth Legion and the White Knights, throwing men and horses to the ground in his path. The knights' formation was thrown into disarray, and they fled in all directions, creating a scene of utter chaos.

However, the road behind the Grand Canyon was a dead end, with no way to escape. Led by the Golden Orcs, the Orc Legion advanced steadily, ruthlessly squeezing the Knights' remaining living space step by step.

The canyon's space was being gradually squeezed by the orcs. The earl knew there was no time to lose. Without hesitation, he ordered Vali to lead the knights in a charge against the orcs. At that moment, the earl lay on his bed, his face pale as paper, eyes closed, his expression dejected. No one could tell what he was thinking.

As Vali led the Knights to rush out like an arrow, the remaining remnants of the Tenth Legion also shouted and followed without hesitation, breaking out together.

The two groups of people engaged in close combat in this narrow canyon. The sound of fighting was deafening, and the blood soon dyed the land red.

However, the golden orc was still an insurmountable and terrifying obstacle standing in front of everyone. He exuded a bloody aura and wherever he went, there was ruthless slaughter. His heavy armor had long been soaked with blood.

This breakout battle was extremely difficult. As the momentum of the charge was gradually worn away by the orcs, Wally and his men not only failed to break out successfully, but were instead surrounded.

Witnessing this, the Earl was terribly anxious and without hesitation wanted to take another B-level potion, "Life Burning," to gain even more strength to turn the tide of battle. However, the pharmacist hurriedly stopped him, firmly disagreeing with his decision.

The pharmacist anxiously explained that, given the Earl's current physical condition, if he took the potion now, he would be completely exhausted and completely depleted before he could successfully break out of the encirclement. Once he reached that point, the situation would only become more precarious.

As everyone was locked in a bitter struggle, two figures suddenly appeared, tearing through the air and rushing towards them at lightning speed. The golden orc, who was currently slaughtering frantically, suddenly stopped his blood-stained sword and slowly raised his head, his blood-red eyes fixed on the two figures. They were Betan and Deluna.

When the two saw the tragic and chaotic scene in the canyon, they took out their replenishing potions and drank them all without any hesitation. Then they rushed towards the golden orc like an arrow.

Instantly, a terrifying vortex of death formed where the three men clashed. Anyone caught in it, whether fierce orc or valiant knight, would be instantly crushed by the terrifying force. The golden orc, unleashing its full force, resembled an ancient beast, its might terrifying. But Betan and Del Luna remained undaunted, engaging in a desperate struggle. Soon, the area surrounding the three men was devoid of life, leaving behind a vast, eerie expanse of empty space.

Upon seeing this, the orcs and knights all stopped fighting at the same time, their eyes fixed on the three people fighting fiercely in the center, not daring to breathe.

As time went on, under the joint attack of Betan and Deluna, no matter how powerful the golden orcs were, they gradually couldn't withstand it and began to show flaws.

Suddenly, the golden orc was careless, and Betan seized the opportunity and slashed at its thigh with a fierce sword. The golden orc stumbled in pain, his steps instantly stumbling. However, before it could even catch its breath, Deluna's sword flashed like a cold light, swiftly slashing towards its neck.

The golden orc had no time to dodge, and could only watch helplessly as the sharp knight's sword slashed towards him. The next second, blood splattered everywhere, and its neck and body separated, and its huge body fell to the ground with a loud thud.

After dispatching the golden orc, Betan and Deluna didn't pause for a moment, turning and charging towards the remaining orcs. Wherever they went, orcs fell, screaming in agony.

After a fierce massacre, except for a few orcs who managed to escape, the rest were all killed in the canyon.

After the battle, Betan and Deluna did not stop at all. They pushed hard with their feet and instantly left the canyon. In the blink of an eye, they disappeared from everyone's sight, leaving only the mess in the canyon and the frightened people.

The Earl watched the two golden knights depart, filled with suspicion. From their appearance to their destruction of the golden orcs and the slaughter of the orc army, they had remained silent the entire time, and then departed in such a hurry. It was truly puzzling.

"Noble support has arrived?" The Earl thought to himself, but then he denied it, "That's not right. If it was really noble support, why would they act like this? They wouldn't even say hello or explain the reason." He racked his brains, but he couldn't figure out where these two golden knights came from, and why they suddenly showed up to lend a helping hand.

Fortunately, with the destruction of the Orcs' extraordinary army, this thrilling crisis finally came to a temporary end. The Earl knew that it was not advisable to stay here for long, so he did not order a cleanup of the battlefield. Instead, he immediately ordered the brothers Vali and Wayne to lead the surviving knights and quickly leave the Grand Canyon and rush towards the Sword of Promise City.

At the Earl's urging, the group sped along, their horses' hooves clattering and sending clouds of dust. Along the way, Wayne took a moment to pull out his communication crystal and quickly send a message to Karen. He detailed the encounter with the orc army in the canyon, the bitter battle, and the appearance of two mysterious golden knights that saved the day. He also specifically reminded Karen not to send any more knights for support, as at their current pace, they would reach the Sword's Oath City in half a day.

Karen, far away in the Sword of Promise City, immediately rushed to Martin's room upon receiving the message. Martin, meanwhile, had just received a brief message from Betan: mission accomplished. Before Karen could even begin to speak, Martin raised his head, a look of relief on his face, and broke the good news.

Karen was initially surprised when he heard this, but then he remembered that the two exceptionally powerful Golden Knights were Martin's men, and his surprise gradually faded. However, Karen knew that some things didn't need to be delved into; all he needed to know was that the man before him was Martin White.
