Chapter 11

Chapter 11

After Liang Xun finished his breakfast, he called Chen Min and asked for a day off. Chen Min approved his leave without asking any questions, but reminded him not to be late for the department meeting tomorrow morning. Liang Xun then hung up the phone.

He searched for a long time in the chat software and found the moving company he had added a long time ago. He asked about the plan and price. Unexpectedly, a customer canceled the appointment at the moving company that day, leaving their team empty. Liang Xun, with the mentality of getting a bargain, asked the moving company to come to his house that day.

The service of this moving company is pretty good, but the price is relatively high. The cost-effectiveness is mainly reflected in the full set of packaging. In other words, Liang Xun does not have to pack his things bit by bit in cardboard boxes and then take them out one by one after moving them to Lin Shengwen's house.

It was worry-free, but Liang Xun couldn't just sit back and do nothing. He took the subway back to his rented house and waited for the moving company at the door. Soon, the moving company's truck stopped downstairs.

Liang Xun was afraid of the cockroaches in the house, so he used his key to open the door and let the people from the moving company go in first. When they put down their equipment in the house and asked Liang Xun if they could start packing, Liang Xun felt relieved and stepped into the room.

He didn't have many things in the rented house. Most of the furniture belonged to the landlord, so he couldn't take it with him. The only furniture he bought was a computer desk and an ergonomic chair. He asked the moving company to take this set of desks and chairs, as well as his clothes, electronic products, etc. The people from the moving company were quick and efficient, and they had almost everything packed up in a short time.

"Do you want to take this box with you too?" The moving company man asked Liang Xun, pointing to a small storage box that he placed at the foot of his computer desk.

The location was very tricky. Although it was next to the computer desk, most of it was actually hidden under the bed board. If Liang Xun's bed sheet was a little longer, it would be easy to cover the box.

Liang Xun was stunned for a moment, then approached the storage box and opened the lid. Inside was a photo album. On the cover, he had written the letter L with a marker, and below that, L2 and L3.

He was extremely hesitant and couldn't decide whether to take it to Lin Shengwen's house.

This photo album is simply evidence of his crime that he cannot escape.

Liang Xun flipped through the album, which was filled with photos of Lin Shengwen, large and small. Most of them were taken secretly. Cameras from over a decade ago had very low resolution, so the photos were mostly blurry. Occasionally, there were a few that were particularly clear, taken from tricky angles. There were also a few formal, frontal shots, taken from the news. There were reports about Lin Shengwen during his college years, both on and off campus. Liang Xun flipped back and found a few photos he had bought from medical students.

Do whatever it takes.

Liang Xun closed the photo album and after hesitating for a while, he put it back into the storage box.

"Take it with you," he said.

Liang Xun thought to himself, what if the house he rented was burglarized one day? How could he leave Lin Shengwen's photo in this house?

I have to go with him so that he can feel at ease.

Liang Xun took the spare key given by Lin Shengwen and moved in completely. He sent a message to Lin Shengwen to tell him that he had moved his things.

The host was not at home, and Liang Xun was a little restrained at first, feeling at a loss as to what to do in Lin Shengwen's house, but he spent a long time preparing himself mentally.

Liang Xun thought that it was Lin Shengwen who asked him to move in because he wanted something from him, and also gave him the right to use the second bedroom, so he should behave more naturally.

Lin Shengwen is straightforward. Even if he really falls in love with a man one day, Liang Xun doesn't think that person will be him.

He has always been very self-aware.

Since he was already here, he might as well make the best of it. After Liang Xun figured this out, he simply let go, packed up his things, and took a shower in Lin Shengwen's bathroom.

Lin Shengwen hadn't replied to his message yet, and Liang Xun was already feeling sleepy when he heard the crisp sound of a metal spring as the lock pin was turned by a key.

Liang Xun rubbed his face, came out of the second bedroom and looked at Lin Shengwen.

"You're back so late?"

Lin Shengwen seemed a little surprised to see him at home and asked, "You haven't slept yet?"

"I'm going to sleep. I'm so sleepy." Liang Xun's voice became very soft when he felt sleepy.

Lin Shengwen said good night to him, and Liang Xun returned to the bed in the second bedroom and fell into a deep sleep soon after.

He didn't know that Lin Shengwen was actually not used to living in the same house with someone - Lin Shengwen had moved out of home and lived alone since junior high school, and even during his undergraduate studies he only paid for the dormitory and rented a house outside.

Liang Xun was just staying there the night before, so Lin Shengwen didn't react much.

But today, he encountered an unexpected dangerous situation during an operation. He, his assistant and the nurse stood in the operating room for almost eight hours. When he returned home at midnight, Lin Shengwen was actually greeted by another person in the family.

Lin Shengwen found it difficult to describe this feeling.

His parents' relationship was distant, and when he and his brother went home for dinner or had to attend some business dinners, the family atmosphere was not even as good as that of his partners.

Growing up in such an environment, Lin Shengwen and Lin Yunshen have a closer relationship, but he still doesn't quite understand what a family should be like.

Lin Shengwen had never been greeted by his parents when he returned home, and he found this behavior very novel.

He knew that Liang Xun had taken a day off today, so he quickly moved his things and officially moved into his house.

It's just that he saw Liang Xun's message too late.

Lin Shengwen took out his cell phone and sent a reply to Liang Xun at one in the morning when Liang Xun had already fallen asleep.

"Please take care of me in the future, Liang Xun."

A few days later, Lin Shengwen specially picked a Saturday when both he and Liang Xun were free, and took Liang Xun to a furniture store to pick out some large items such as cabinets and shelves.

When buying the shelves, he also asked Liang Xun if he wanted a wine cabinet. Liang Xun said he didn't drink, so Lin Shengwen chuckled and politely declined the clerk's offer to sell them a combination cabinet with a wine cabinet.

After buying the furniture in stock, Lin Shengwen signed the order and paid the money. After agreeing on the delivery time, he took Liang Xun to a mahogany workshop to make a set of sofas and coffee tables. He and the salesperson agreed on the general style, drew a few strokes on paper, and asked the master to make carvings in the style he drew.

Liang Xun actually didn't know much about soft furnishings. His business scope mainly included hard furnishings. When listening to the people from the rosewood workshop taking them to see the rosewood furniture made in the factory and introducing the wood and craftsmanship, Liang Xun could only nod in agreement, vaguely understanding.

Lin Shengwen's previous house had a small single sofa. When Liang Xun moved in, he made two long sofas of different lengths, saying they would form an L-shape in the living room.

Liang Xun certainly had no objection. It was Lin Shengwen who paid for the work, and he was just a large pendant who was brought along on the road.

When he started living with Lin Shengwen, Liang Xun faced so many temptations that he almost needed to remind himself to stay rational all the time.

For example, Lin Shengwen asked him to use the same bathroom as himself, so their bathing times had to be staggered. Most of the time, Lin Shengwen came back late, and Liang Xun would bathe and go to bed earlier, but there were occasional exceptions.

He stayed in the office that day to revise the PPT. When he returned to Lin Shengwen's house, Lin Shengwen just came out of the bathroom.

He was covered in moisture, and the silk pajamas made Lin Shengwen's outlines look extremely tough. He took a highly absorbent towel to wipe his still dripping hair and walked into the living room. Liang Xun noticed that he was reading a hardcover book in one hand while using a hair dryer to dry his hair.

Liang Xun felt that he could smell the fragrance of the shampoo.

He and Lin Shengwen used the same shampoo, so his hair smelled the same way.

Liang Xun hurriedly said "I'm back" and rushed back to the second bedroom to put his things down and went into the bathroom. The bathroom was still a little damp and humid, causing Liang Xun to take a longer shower than usual that day.

Another thing that Liang Xun found even more difficult to adapt to was that Lin Shengwen sometimes worked from home. He converted the third room into a study and placed a high-configuration computer with a very large screen in it, but Lin Shengwen did not use it for playing games. Liang Xun passed by the study door several times and saw Lin Shengwen studying the bird language content on the screen, and sometimes he was typing on the keyboard to write documents or type code.

This was not something Liang Xun could not accept.

When Lin Shengwen worked at home, he would wear a pair of gold-rimmed rimless glasses. He noticed Liang Xun's gaze, and when he followed her gaze towards him, that overly sharp beauty was like a high-density bomb. Liang Xun felt that he was about to be killed without a trace.

More than a week later, Liang Xun was still working in the office when he suddenly received a message from Lin Shengwen.

Lin Shengwen: "Is it convenient tonight? Pei Ning and Xu Yiming want to have dinner with us."

Liang Xun was already familiar with Pei Ning, but was a complete stranger to Xu Yiming. Although Pei Ning had mentioned her several times, the frequency was not high, so Liang Xun had no way of knowing more. He knew that Xu Yiming was also Lin Shengwen's childhood friend, so he didn't think much about it and replied with a "OK".

As luck would have it, Lin Shengwen's multidisciplinary consultation meeting was extended for a while, and he was already late when he drove out of the hospital. He also encountered an accident on the road ahead during the evening rush hour, and it took him more time to take a detour.

He sent a voice message to Liang Xun during the red light, saying that he would be late.

Liang Xun knew that he was driving, so he also replied to him with a voice message.

"Take your time and drive safely. I'll be waiting for you at the intersection outside Mingsheng."

Lin Shengwen replied with a cat emoticon package - that was what Li Ye had bought for him in the mall before. Perhaps his original intention was to dislike the fact that Lin Shengwen sent messages like an old man, and he wanted him to make good use of the emoticon package to appear more approachable.

But Lin Shengwen never sent Li Ye the stickers in this emoticon pack.

On the contrary, Liang Xun has recently received a lot of cat emoticons from Lin Shengwen.

Lin Shengwen's car was driving very slowly, like a turtle crawling. It was not because he didn't want to go faster, but because the road was jammed with cars.

Finally arriving near Mingsheng Real Estate Building, Lin Shengwen saw Liang Xun's figure from afar. When he was about to open the car window to signal Liang Xun to get in the car, he found that Liang Xun's gaze was not towards the intersection, but at the pot-bellied man in front of him.

The man grabbed Liang Xun's arm, as if he was going to assault him in broad daylight.
