As she was leaving, Lan Zhi glanced at Fu Yunchen, a strange light flashing in her bright, watery eyes.
Fu Yunchen placed the food box on the table. "Last night I took Qiao Dongzi back to the mountain stronghold. Old Yang and the others hunted a deer, and I brought one back with me. I had the cooks prepare it. It might not be as good as the one at the River God Restaurant, but I thought it tasted pretty good."
"With such heavy snow last night, what were you doing going back to the mountain stronghold?" Mu Run walked up to him, looking at his face. There was a faint trace of fatigue in his eyes, indicating that he had been exhausted from traveling back and forth overnight.
