Perhaps Redmi's mouth was blessed, because Mu Run really did trip and fall.
However, it wasn't because of herself, but because Zhuangzhuang, Tuantuan, and Huanhuan were playing together and running too fast. One of them slipped and was about to hit his forehead on the corner of the table when she used her soul power to teleport almost instantly and stop Zhuangzhuang.
Zhuangzhuang bumped into her arms, and her back slammed hard against the corner of the table!
Because the weather was still warm, she was only wearing two thin layers of clothing. The corner of the table poked her collarbone hard through her clothes, and a piercing pain spread throughout her body.
But she endured the pain without showing any sign of distress, and first looked at Zhuangzhuang, asking, "How are you?"
Zhuangzhuang was naturally fine and obediently replied, "Thank you for saving me, Mother. I'm alright."
Mu Run hugged him, "You scared your mother to death."
Huanhuan and Tuantuan also ran over.
When Tuantuan saw Murun fall, she asked worriedly, "Mom, are you alright? Did you hurt yourself?"
"You guys!" Mu Run suppressed her rising anger, released Zhuang Zhuang and stood up. "When you play with your brother, take care of him. He's still young. Also, no fighting in the house."
"We were wrong, we're sorry, Mom." Huanhuan, as the older sister, admitted her mistake very sincerely.
Mu Run's anger subsided. "Okay, you can go play in the garden, but when you're running and jumping, you're only allowed on the grass, understand?"
"Okay, we understand." Huanhuan pulled Zhuangzhuang over, and together with Tuantuan, they ran out.
The palace maids serving outside the hall, witnessing the entire incident, turned pale with fright and knelt on the ground in unison. Although they saw Zhuangzhuang fall, the accident happened too quickly for them to react. Moreover, they did not know martial arts and could not keep up with the movements. In the end, even with all their might, they could not stop her.
Mu Run waved his hand, "Get up, everyone."
She wanted to be alone with the children, so she told them to go outside and wait; it had nothing to do with them.
"Is Granny Cai here? Tell her to come over."
"This servant will go right away." A palace maid hurriedly left.
Mu Run reached out and touched the spot where she had been hit; it was already swollen.
"Go get some more ice."
"Yes." Another palace maid left.
Mu Run picked up the memorial he was reading halfway through. He hadn't thought much of it before, but now, because of the pain in his collarbone, he became more and more annoyed as he read it. Finally, he threw the memorial onto the imperial desk.
"Someone come here."
"Where are you injured?" a deep, urgent voice asked.
Mu Run was taken aback, then turned her head. "...You've come."
Isn't this speed a bit too fast?
Fu Yunchen took her hand and looked at it.
I checked both hands, and there were no problems.
He frowned and said, "You're not injured."
Mu Run understood; it must be Hong Mi who said she had an accident. She really didn't know whether to call her a jinx or not.
"My hand is fine," Mu Run replied.
A palace maid carried a small basin of ice into the hall. "Your Majesty, the ice has arrived."
Madam Cai arrived too. "Where did you crash?"
Fu Yunchen looked at Madam Cai and, seeing that she didn't seem to be faking it, asked, "What's going on?!"
Lady Cai had heard it from a palace maid on the way, and replied, "His Majesty tripped and fell, hitting the corner of the table."
"As Sister Cai said, I am unwell, so you should handle these memorials." Mu Run shrugged, taking the opportunity to pass the buck.
Fu Yunchen took the ice from the palace maid and said to Cai Shi, "You may all leave now."
Lady Cai glanced at Mu Run, and seeing that she didn't give any special indication, she left with her maids and closed the palace door behind her.
