Chapter 21 The little dumpling says it doesn't taste good!

Huo Qin had planned to go home after lunch when Lin Cheng called, saying that there was an urgent matter at the company that required his personal decision.

Huo Qin glanced at Chao Chao.

The little girl, full and sleepy, sat on the sofa swaying back and forth like a roly-poly toy.

This was originally Chaochao's afternoon nap time.

Old Master Huo naturally overheard their conversation and said, "You go to the company first, but Chaochao will stay here with me."

Huo Qin glanced at him but did not immediately agree.

In a daze, Chaochao caught the key words: "Um... Dad, Dad... Where are we going..."

Old Master Huo felt that his son had seen right through him and angrily retorted, "Do you think I would eat people?!"

Huo Qin remained noncommittal.

Chaochao, whose eyelids were drooping, suddenly jolted awake, her eyes widening like saucers: "What! What?! People eat people! Don't eat me! Chaochao's flesh doesn't taste good!"

Old Master Huo: "..."

Huo Qin asked Chaochao, "I'm going to the company. Can Chaochao stay here and wait for me?"

With Aunt Song watching over Chaochao at the Huo residence, nothing will happen.

Therefore, Hochin felt at ease leaving his child here.

Once she regained consciousness, Chaochao nodded: "Okay, I'll be a good girl and wait for Daddy to come back!"

Old Master Huo was unhappy and fuming.

Do you think the Huo residence is a den of wolves and tigers that devours people without spitting out their bones?! It's perfectly natural for a granddaughter to play at her grandfather's house! She could live here for the rest of her life without feeling guilty!

After waving goodbye to her father, Chaochao was left alone in the living room with her grandfather.

She glanced at her grandfather, who was still grumbling inwardly, his face long and stern. He didn't even notice the little girl timidly withdrawing her tentative little foot.

Grandpa didn't seem like he wanted to talk.

Chaochao gently tugged at Aunt Song's sleeve as she passed by, rubbed her eyes, and said, "Grandma, I want to sleep."

The drowsiness that had just been scared away by the "man-eating monster" quickly returned.

She covered her mouth with her chubby little hands, let out a big yawn, and her eyes welled up with tears.

Aunt Song felt a surge of tenderness in her heart, and spoke in an incredibly gentle voice, afraid of disturbing this angelic little girl.

"Okay, okay, Grandma will take Chaochao to her room to sleep, alright?"

"Um……"

Aunt Song led Chaochao upstairs to the second floor and headed straight for the first room on the right side of the master bedroom.

The door was gently pushed open, and Chaochao's eyes widened instantly—

Because this place is absolutely gorgeous!

The spacious room is decorated in off-white and peach pink tones, with warm-toned teak flooring throughout. A natural crystal chandelier hangs from the center of the ceiling, shimmering like fireflies in the sunlight. Soft wool carpets, a handcrafted solid wood bed, smooth silk bedding, sheer curtains with gold trim on the floor-to-ceiling windows, and adorable plush toys adorning the headboard.

The whole room is dreamy, cute, romantic, and cozy.

"Wow--"

Chaochao felt as if she had stepped into a princess castle in a fairy tale, no, it was even more beautiful than the queen's room she had seen in cartoons!

Aunt Song said with a smile, "This is the room that Grandpa personally decorated for Chaochao."

After the master learned of the young lady's existence, he summoned world-renowned designers to work overtime to renovate this princess room.

"Chaochao loves this room! Grandpa is so kind! I can sleep here for ten thousand years!" Chaochao exclaimed excitedly, waving her arms and legs.

So Grandpa still likes Chaochao, right?

The little girl was secretly pleased with herself, but then something occurred to her, and she tilted her head back.

"Grandma...did this room cost a lot of money?"

Aunt Song: "Not much, not much."

It's probably around 300 million.

"The master said, as long as you're happy every day."

My own little princess, how can I not spoil her rotten?!

Chaochao's eyes curved like crescent moons: "Chaochao is very happy! Extremely happy!"

Aunt Song covered her mouth and chuckled, coaxing the excited Chaochao to go to sleep first, and to watch it again when he woke up.

After sulking in the living room, Old Master Huo turned around and found that he was the only one left in the entire hall.

The old man: "???"

Where is my dear granddaughter?! Where is my lovely granddaughter?!

Fortunately, the maid reminded him that the young lady had already gone to her room for a nap.

In the tranquil and dreamlike room, the door was gently pushed open without making a sound.

When Grandpa Huo learned that his beloved granddaughter really liked her room, he was very pleased.

He even put some thought into choosing the room.

Chaochao's room is on the right side of the second floor, while Huo Qin's room is on the left side, with Old Master Huo's master bedroom separating the two.

Chaochao lived right next to him.

Ha, Dad and all that, go to hell.

Old Master Huo almost burst into laughter.

He quietly approached the bedside, holding his breath as he gazed at the little dumpling's soft, cuddly sleeping face. His hard facial features gradually softened, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up.

Chaochao is so cute, I want to eat her in one bite!

Suddenly, Chaochao, who was asleep, frowned as if she were having a nightmare, and started calling out incoherently.

"Waaaaah, no, no... Chaochao is a good child, don't eat Chaochao, waaaah!"

Old Master Huo: "..."
