Chapter 1189 Uncovering the Truth

“I didn’t want to come see you either. I came to ask you something.” Ni Sitian took out a yellowed pamphlet from her bag, then held up a new one and placed it in front of He Cuiyun through the glass, asking coldly, “What’s going on here?”

He Cuiyun showed no surprise at all, and laughed maniacally twice: "It's ridiculous that you and your father were driven apart for a lifetime by a fake appraisal report that I made for a few dozen yuan. It's laughable, utterly laughable."

Although Ni Sitian had suspected it before, upon hearing He Cuiyun's words, her fists clenched involuntarily. Her childhood had been completely ruined by this woman. Originally, she had a father and a mother, and could have grown up like other children, although perhaps not very happy, but she wouldn't have suffered such unfair bullying.

"You wanted to know what happened, right? I'll tell you everything. Blame your dad." He Cuiyun sneered sarcastically. "After giving birth to Ziqi, I had an IUD inserted years ago and couldn't have any more children. He wanted a son so badly, and I was afraid he would treat me like he treated your mother. So I simply tampered with his medical report. You all don't know, do you? I worked as a nurse for two years before I married your dad. It was easy for me. He trusted me, and I got the medical report and the paternity test results myself."

Ni Sitian clenched her fist, her facial bones twitching slightly as she suppressed her anger: "If you can't have children, you can just change your medical examination report. Why do you need to change the paternity test report?"

"Of course it's for Ziqi. If he had a biological daughter, why would he treat my Ziqi so well? Heh, you can only blame yourself because you don't look like him at all, and you have a mother who has one-night stands. You can't blame me." He Cuiyun knew that she had been arrested because of Ni Sitian, and she hated her to the core.

"So what about Ni Ziqi, whom you've been so obsessed with? You've sacrificed so much for her, where is she now? Has she even come to see you once?" Ni Sitian poked He Cuiyun in the most sensitive spot.

"It's all your fault! It's all your fault that she can't go back to Yihai City!" He Cuiyun blamed Ni Sitian for the scandal, and became more and more frantic as she thought about it, banging on the window as if she wanted to hit her.

"Whether it's her or you, you brought this upon yourselves and deserve to die." Ni Sitian saw He Cuiyun being held down by a prison guard with a baton, and as she stood up, her mood gradually calmed down. She looked down at her and said, "Thank you for telling me the truth. You can spend the rest of your life in prison."

After Ni Sitian finished speaking, she stood up, no longer interested in listening to He Cuiyun's curses. She picked up her bag and walked out of the prison.

After being released from prison, Ni Sitian closed her eyes and exhaled a long, murky breath.

The matter that had been weighing on her mind was finally settled. So be it. Even if Ni Qianshan was her biological father, nothing could be changed now.

She needs to look forward in life. With Tingchuan, Tuantuan, and so many relatives and friends, the past is the past.

Ni Sitian took a taxi home. As soon as she entered the living room, she heard Xiao Tuantuan calling for "Mama." His voice softened her heart, and she bent down to pick him up and kiss his cheek.

After greeting my mother-in-law, I carried Tuantuan upstairs.

When Xu Tingchuan came home from get off work that evening, she brought up the day's events with him, not for any other reason than to talk about it.

Having someone care about you makes you more likely to confide in them, and it feels so good to be held in their arms and kissed.
