After leaving the early education center and getting into the car, Tuantuan refused to sit in the child safety seat, so Ni Sitian had to hold him and let him sit on her lap.
"He'll just act all cute and clingy with you, so don't spoil him," Xu Tingchuan said to Ni Sitian, then reached out and pinched Tuan Tuan's cheek.
"He's still young." Ni Sitian hugged Tuantuan and patted his head affectionately.
Tuantuan pouted at Xu Tingchuan, then buried her face in Ni Sitian's chest.
"You brat, how many times have I told you not to do that?" Xu Tingchuan was driving and couldn't pull him away immediately, so he threatened him angrily, "If you do that again, I'll make you attend early childhood education six days a week."
Tuantuan moved her head out, tilted her little head up, and looked at Ni Sitian pitifully with teary eyes, clutching her sleeve.
This pitiful sight, conveyed more than words, immediately touched Ni Sitian's heart. She glared at Xu Tingchuan and said, "He's so young, how can you do this! If you want him to attend early education for six days, then you can sleep in the living room for six days!"
“He’s still young? He’ll be two years old in a few days. This habit of burying his face in someone’s chest must be changed. Do you want your son to develop bad habits that he can’t break?” Xu Tingchuan said righteously. As Tuantuan grew older and started making intimate gestures towards Ni Sitian, he became more and more bothered. Now, seeing Ni Sitian only protecting her son, he felt a pang of jealousy.
"It's not as serious as you make it out to be," Ni Sitian muttered, though she secretly thought he might have a point.
Children usually break this habit by the age of two, as they are no longer infants who need to drink milk.
"In short, don't spoil him too much. Boys need to be disciplined strictly." Xu Tingchuan pressed on when he heard her softening, giving a bunch of examples of excessive pampering.
Ni Sitian's expression gradually became serious as she listened, and then she looked down at Tuantuan and said, "Tuantuan, don't do that again next time, understand?"
Tuantuan pouted and nodded. He had thought his mother would side with him, but his father was so eloquent that he had managed to win his mother over to his side in no time.
"Good boy, Tuantuan." Ni Sitian looked at his sensible yet pitiful appearance, lowered her head and kissed his forehead, and said, "Mommy has made pudding for you, you can eat it when we get back."
Tuantuan's mood improved again, and she hugged Ni Sitian's neck and buried her face in her shoulder.
Seeing how affectionate they were, Xu Tingchuan couldn't help but say, "I want to eat too."
Ni Sitian said with a mix of helplessness and amusement, "How old are you? Why are you arguing with a child about these things? Besides, you don't even like sweets."
"Can't I start liking her from today?" Xu Tingchuan pouted, just like Tuantuan. What he was fighting for wasn't Pudding, but her attention. Lately, he felt increasingly neglected.
"Okay, I'll make you another one separately." Ni Sitian couldn't do anything about him. No wonder some people say that no matter how old a man is, he's still a child. He's really childish.
Xu Tingchuan was quite satisfied with the promise and raised an eyebrow at Tuantuan, as if showing off that he also had one.
Tuantuan puffed out her cheeks, grabbed Ni Sitian's clothes and shook them, "Mommy, I want apple pie too."
Ni Sitian was overjoyed to hear Tuantuan speak, and naturally agreed, "Okay, I'll make you apple pie when we get back."
Seeing that Ni Sitian's attention had been stolen by her son again, Xu Tingchuan was speechless with frustration. It seemed that he would have to fight a long battle in the future. This little guy was definitely doing it on purpose. He even stuck his tongue out at him triumphantly.
