The next morning, Ni Sitian woke up and saw Xu Tingchuan as soon as she opened her eyes.
This feeling was incredibly comforting to her, and she wanted every morning to be like this.
“Mrs. Xu, you’ve been staring at me for a long time,” Xu Tingchuan said suddenly without opening his eyes.
“You’re my husband, who else would I be watching if not you?” Ni Sitian said matter-of-factly.
Xu Tingchuan opened his eyes, looking at her with a smile, "Did you sleep well last night?"
"This is the best sleep I've had in days," Ni Sitian said truthfully.
"Me too." Xu Tingchuan reached out and touched her cheek. Her porcelain-like skin was warm to the touch, and he leaned in to kiss her.
A little head popped out from under the covers and called out, "Daddy, Mommy."
Ni Sitian smiled helplessly, then couldn't help but look up at Xu Tingchuan. Seeing that he was also smiling, she felt relieved.
"Daddy," Tuantuan snuggled into Xu Tingchuan's arms and said in a childish voice, "I can't untie it."
Ni Sitian chuckled. It turned out that this little guy was still thinking about having Xu Tingchuan teach him how to solve that chain puzzle.
"Okay, Dad will help you untie it when we get back." Xu Tingchuan patted Tuantuan's head, then added, "But Tuantuan, you're a big girl now. You need to sleep in your own bed when we get back, okay?"
Upon hearing this, Tuantuan immediately drooped her head, looking rather unhappy.
Ni Sitian found it strange, since Tuantuan had always been willing to sleep in her own bed before. She patiently and gently asked, "Why doesn't Tuantuan want to sleep in her own bed?"
Tuantuan's eyes reddened, and she looked like she was about to cry.
Xu Tingchuan and Ni Sitian were both stunned. How could things have suddenly turned out like this?
"Daddy, doesn't Mommy want Tuantuan anymore?" Tuantuan's eyes welled up with tears; she looked extremely sad.
"Silly boy, how could your mom and dad not want Tuantuan?" Ni Sitian felt heartbroken and quickly hugged him to wipe away his tears.
"Younger brother and sister..." Tuantuan couldn't quite express herself, wiping away her tears.
Xu Tingchuan frowned slightly. He seemed to understand what Tuantuan was saying, but Tuantuan was so young, how could he understand these things? Unless someone had gossiped about it to him, and he was intelligent, with a stronger comprehension ability than the average child.
“Mom and Dad love Tuantuan the most.” Ni Sitian vaguely understood what Tuantuan wanted to express. She and Xu Tingchuan shared the same thought, so she hugged Tuantuan and patted her gently to comfort her.
Tuantuan stopped crying after a while; he's never been a child who likes to cry.
"Okay, Mom will take Tuantuan to wash her face." Ni Sitian carried Tuantuan off the bed and gave Xu Tingchuan a look.
Xu Tingchuan followed him inside.
After washing up, the three of them went to the hotel's buffet restaurant for a meal.
Yesterday, Xu Tingchuan had already arranged for someone to book his return flight. After breakfast, he went back to his room, packed his things into his suitcase, and rushed to catch the 10 o'clock flight.
During the flight, Tuan Tuan fell asleep.
Ni Sitian covered Tuantuan with a small blanket and said to Xu Tingchuan with some concern, "He's still so young, how can he know to worry that having a younger brother or sister will reduce the love for him?"
“He couldn’t possibly understand this at his age.” Xu Tingchuan frowned and said, “Besides us, he’s most often in contact with Aunt Qin and Aunt Liu.”
Ni Sitian also had this thought in his mind. Even if he knew how to be jealous, it was really strange that Tuantuan had been trying to sleep between them for the past few months. He had no way of knowing that she would have a child if she was intimate with Xu Tingchuan.
