Chapter 1354 A Gentle Warmth

Ni Sitian didn't understand what he meant, and pouted, feeling wronged: "You haven't called for several days."

"You haven't called again either, have you? I thought you had Tuantuan and didn't miss me as much." Xu Tingchuan had been waiting for her call for the past few days.

"What nonsense are you talking about? How can a son and a husband be the same? Didn't you always say that we were the ones who would accompany each other for a lifetime?" Ni Sitian said reproachfully, and then added, "Besides, I clearly called you, but your phone was busy. I even called the front desk later, but you didn't answer me."

"After I replied to your text message that day, my phone fell into the water. I just got a new phone yesterday. I didn't know you called the front desk. The front desk didn't notify me. I thought you were busy with Tuantuan and didn't think to call me again." So he childishly wanted to see when she would finally remember to call him.

"What an idiot! How could I be so focused on Tuantuan that I forgot to call you? I thought you were angry with me and deliberately not calling back." Ni Sitian thought Xu Tingchuan, who was jealous of Tuantuan, was at most three and a half years old!

"Now I know, you've been thinking about me all along, and you even came to find me." Xu Tingchuan happily hugged her, she had no idea how surprised he was to see them.

"It's not that I'm missing him, it's that Tuantuan said he wanted a dad, so I had no choice but to bring him here to find a dad," Ni Sitian said with a huff, sounding a little arrogant.

Xu Tingchuan knew she was saying one thing but meaning another, so he hugged her even tighter.

Ni Sitian reached out and hugged him back, nuzzling her head against his shoulder, feeling incredibly safe and secure. She whispered, "Actually, it's not just Tuantuan who misses you. I miss you too, I miss you so much, and I can't wait to see you."

"Yes, I know, I missed you too. Originally, things were supposed to be postponed until the day after tomorrow, but I worked several nights to try and go back early today. I didn't expect you to bring Tuantuan here." Xu Tingchuan smelled the fragrance of her hair and felt his heart at peace.

The two embraced quietly for a while, when Ni Sitian's stomach rumbled again, spoiling the mood.

Xu Tingchuan suppressed a laugh and released her.

Ni Sitian playfully slapped him, just then the doorbell rang.

Xu Tingchuan got up to open the door and then called Ni Sitian to come out and eat.

After we finished eating, it was already ten o'clock.

After washing up and lying in bed, Ni Sitian placed Tuantuan on her right side while she leaned against Xu Tingchuan's chest.

Xu Tingchuan leaned against the headboard, holding Ni Sitian close, and playing with her fingers in his hand.

The two chatted about what had happened during their separation, creating a subtle sense of warmth.

She also mentioned Su Yan's matter to Xu Tingchuan. Su Yan ultimately decided to adopt the child, so Su Yan went to the police station to turn herself in and is now being held in a detention center, awaiting a judgment from the judicial authorities.

However, she may die before the verdict is delivered.

“Let’s not talk about others.” Ni Sitian turned around to face him, looked up, touched his cheek, and said, “It’s only been a few days, and you look thinner.”

"Then when we get back, you'd better cook me something delicious to nourish me," Xu Tingchuan said with a slight smile, his words sounding somewhat like a coquettish plea.

"Okay." Ni Sitian hugged his neck and kissed him.

After the kiss, she felt a little embarrassed because she had been too forward, so she lowered her head and buried it in his chest.

Xu Tingchuan looked down at her red ear tips, a slight smile playing on his lips.

However, the two did nothing else; they simply fell asleep quietly in each other's arms.
