Chapter 1482 Childhood Sweethearts

Xiao Kui blinked, looked at the water cup handed to her, held it with both hands, and gave Tuan Tuan a smile: "Thank you."

"Drink more," Tuantuan said expressionlessly.

But Xiao Kui was very happy. He must be concerned about her. The corners of her mouth, which was biting the straw, were turned up.

Tuan Tuan didn't say anything more, just watched her finish the water. He remembered his mother saying that when you have a cold, you should drink more warm water so that the germs will be washed away.

After drinking half a cup, Xiao Kui felt much better and couldn't help but ask again, "Tuan Tuan, in kindergarten..."

"Don't speak," Tuantuan interrupted her again.

Xiao Kui lowered her eyes. She hadn't spoken to him in a long time. She wanted to tell him about what happened at kindergarten, to tell him that kindergarten was more interesting than early childhood education classes, and that she wanted him to go to kindergarten too.

But doesn't he like listening to her talk? Why does he keep telling her to stop talking?

"Drink water quickly." Tuantuan remembered her mother saying that when you have a cold, you should talk less, otherwise your throat will hurt.

"Oh." Xiao Kui lowered her head and sucked on the straw again, drinking slowly in small sips.

Seeing that she seemed listless, Tuantuan took off her small backpack, unzipped it, took out two cards, handed them to her, and said, "Here, these are the ones I promised you last time."

When Xiao Kui saw the card, although she couldn't read yet, she knew what it was; she had pestered him for it before.

She took it, pointed to the words on it, and looked up to ask, "Is this Luo, and this Xi?"

"Idiot, you've got it backwards. This one is Luo, and that one is Xi," Tuantuan corrected her.

Xiao Kui smiled; he rarely talked to her that much.

When Tuantuan saw that her eyes were smiling like crescent moons and that she had two little dimples, she looked even cuter than the little princess statue he had seen at the water park earlier that day, so he turned his head away.

"Don't get sick again," Tuantuan said awkwardly, then added, "It looks terrible."

Xiao Kui's smile froze. He thought she was stupid and ugly.

She drooped her head, gripped the cup, and thought to herself that she must never get sick again, and even if she did, she couldn't let him see her, because she wouldn't be pretty when she was sick.

"I'm leaving now. Make sure you're covered up properly when you sleep." Tuantuan shuffled his little body off the bed. He learned this phrase from his "bad dad," who always said it to his mother, making her smile happily.

Xiao Kui raised her head, and a smile returned to her lips.

"Have you two finished talking?" Xiang Zhilan saw that Tuantuan had gotten out of bed and walked over with Ni Sitian. When she saw Xiaokui's water glass, her face was full of smiles. She said to Tuantuan, "Tuantuan is so sensible. Thank you for taking care of Xiaokui."

Ni Sitian picked up Tuantuan and gave him a reward kiss. Just moments ago, Xiang Zhilan was telling her that Xiao Kui didn't like to drink boiled water, but her own son had managed to get Xiao Kui to drink more than half a cup of water in one go.

"You take care of Xiao Kui, don't bother seeing her off, I'll go down by myself." After saying this to Xiang Zhilan, Ni Sitian carried Tuan Tuan out.

"Then take your time and be careful going downstairs." Xiang Zhilan only escorted him to the bedroom door before returning to the bedside.

She smiled when she saw the card in Xiao Kui's hand: "Did Tuan Tuan give this to you too?"

"Mmm." Xiao Kui nodded and said in her childish voice, "Mommy, how do you write Tuan Tuan's name? Can you teach me?"

"Okay, as long as you get better, Mom will teach you everything." Xiang Zhilan patted her daughter's head.

Xiao Kui quickly lowered her head and drank more water, because drinking more water would help her recover faster.
