Luo Xikui thought to herself, "You don't mind, but I do!"
However, upon closer reflection, she didn't actually mind...
"I'm going to wash up. You get dressed first. I have something to talk to you about." Xu Ziyu became serious and then got out of bed and went into the bathroom.
The blush on Luo Xikui's face slowly faded as she recalled Xin Chun's phone call from yesterday. Now was not the time for her to bicker with Xu Ziyu. Xin Chun hadn't mentioned his business trip to Japan yesterday, so it must have been a last-minute decision.
He was in such a hurry, and with such a serious expression, that he was probably going to talk about something that happened four years ago.
She had already thought of a solution to this, but the thought of saying it to his face later made her heart feel like it was being squeezed.
She lay in bed in a daze for a while, then heard him brushing his teeth in the bathroom. She rolled up in the blanket, got out of bed, took out her underwear, sweater, and pants from the closet, and quickly put them on.
As she was buttoning her jeans, she heard the bathroom door open and looked up to see Xu Ziyu walking out.
She quickly buttoned it up and put the sweater down.
"Go wash up." Xu Ziyu gestured, then walked to the bedside table, picked up the phone, and dialed room service.
As Luo Xikui walked towards the bathroom, he wondered why he seemed to be the one who owned the room, and when his Japanese had become so good.
After entering the bathroom, I saw a set of hotel toiletries that had already been opened next to my own. It felt strange that the two were so close together.
She looked away and began brushing her teeth, washing her face, and going to the toilet.
He lingered in the toilet for a while before taking a deep breath and going out.
He sat at the dining table, opening the lid of the breakfast that room service had brought.
She walked over and sat opposite him, and he placed a bowl of porridge in front of her.
It was the simplest of porridges, with a few green vegetable leaves floating on top.
Her mouth was already bitter and bland, so she lost her appetite when she saw this.
"You've just recovered from your fever, so you shouldn't eat anything greasy." Xu Ziyu didn't deprive himself of anything, and his breakfast consisted of a bowl of special tonkotsu ramen.
Luo Xikui looked at his, then at her own. Was he deliberately coming over to provoke her?
Reluctantly, he scooped up some porridge with a spoon, but his nose and eyes were constantly drawn to his ramen.
"Even if you keep looking, I won't give you any food." Xu Ziyu didn't even look up, but he could feel her gaze.
Luo Xikui snorted and looked away to eat her porridge.
Halfway through her meal, a slice of Yunnan ham appeared in front of her.
She looked up at the chopsticks and saw Xu Ziyu stretching out his arm.
A smile crept onto her lips as she lowered her head, put the chopsticks in her mouth, and ate the piece of Yunnan ham.
Xu Ziyu was stunned for a moment as he watched her actions.
"What's wrong?" Luo Xikui wondered if it wasn't meant for her to eat.
"It's nothing." Xu Ziyu put away his chopsticks, looked down at the ends of the chopsticks. He just wanted her to use a spoon to take the food, but he didn't expect her to lower her head and eat it with the chopsticks. It felt like they were very close, like they had returned to their childhood.
Luo Xikui found some flavor in her mouth and found the porridge more delicious. She slowly realized that her actions just now seemed inappropriate. Eating with his chopsticks seemed too intimate, and she wondered if he would mind her saliva.
After thinking for a moment, she raised her head somewhat uneasily and glanced at him. Seeing that he was still using the same chopsticks as usual, she felt relieved and continued to drink her porridge.
