Luo Xikui frowned, glancing at the dark sky outside, and didn't really want to go out.
Just as she was about to refuse, Xin Chun said, "Don't you want to know about what happened back then, and the hidden details you don't know?"
"What do you mean?" Luo Xikui frowned.
"Come to my house and we'll talk if you want to know," Xin Chun said before hanging up the phone.
Luo Xikui lowered her phone, pondered the meaning behind her words, and felt that it was still necessary to go.
Besides, the meeting place was at her home, and Uncle Xin should be home too, so there was no need to be afraid of her.
Luo Xikui stood up, grabbed her bag, put on her coat, and drove out of the garage.
When they were almost at Xin Chun's house, Xu Ziyu called and asked her what she was doing.
"I'm going to Xiao Chun's house." Luo Xi Kui had nothing to hide from him.
Xu Ziyu frowned. "You're going alone?"
"Don't worry, I can handle our problems as women." Luo Xikui wasn't sure what Xin Chun was going to say to her and didn't want to involve Xu Ziyu.
"Then call me when you get home," Xu Ziyu instructed.
"Okay." After replying, Luo Xikui hung up the phone, took off her earphones, and focused on driving.
About seven or eight minutes later, the car stopped in front of Xin Chun's small building.
Luo Xikui got off the bus, her heart suddenly skipped a beat, and she felt uneasy. She hesitated whether to press the bell.
Just then, her phone rang. She looked down and saw it was Xiang Hengxi.
Wasn't he on a mission? Why was he calling her?
Puzzled, he answered the phone and heard Xiang Hengxi scold him in a low voice: "What are you doing here so late at night? Go home right now."
Luo Xikui looked around. Could this be the mission Xiang Hengxi was talking about?
Just as she was about to answer, Xin Chun opened the door.
Luo Xikui's attention shifted to Xin Chun. Her outfit was so strange for the night: a black dress, a black wool coat, black leather gloves, a black hat, and black high heels. It looked just like what a lady in a British movie would wear to a funeral.
Did she just come back from a funeral?
"I've been waiting for you for a long time, come in." Xin Chun invited Luo Xikui into the house.
Luo Xikui hesitated for a moment, but fearing that she might disturb Xiang Hengxi who was carrying out a mission nearby, she followed Xin Chun into the house first.
Xiang Hengxi was looking through binoculars across the street, his brow furrowed. He had forgotten that Xin Chun lived here, and the armed gang lived next door. He had brought a few subordinates to support the operation today, and there was likely to be a shootout later.
Now they can't ask the team to withdraw just for him. Captain Xue clearly said today that the households next door have already been quietly evacuated, so why is Xin Chun still at home and even invited his sister over?
"Deputy Regiment Commander, is there a problem?" a police officer from the nearby police station asked.
“There are still people at the house next door. We need to consider the safety of the citizens when we take action later,” Xiang Hengxi said in a low voice.
"That's strange. Xiao Chen clearly confirmed that no one was home, and the lights were off just now. How come someone is here now?" the police officer muttered in confusion.
Xiang Hengxi thought about it and also felt it was a bit strange. He had been staring at it the whole time, and the light in Xin Chun's house was indeed off. It only turned on after Luo Xikui's car arrived.
Before he could think further, there was some movement from the house in his target group, and he immediately shifted his attention.
