Chapter 1678, Side Story 188: An Unexpected Phone Call

Xiang Hengxi stayed with Jing An'an until 10 o'clock. Before leaving, he unplugged her computer and kissed her head, saying, "Go to sleep early, goodnight."

Before Jing An'an could react, she saw him nimbly leap out of the window.

She could only stomp her feet and watch him drive away, glancing at the black screen of her computer, and laughed in exasperation.

Xiang Hengxi smiled, hummed a tune, and turned the steering wheel.

When I got home, I remembered how Luo Xikui looked unwell that afternoon, so I decided to go in and check on her.

However, as soon as he reached her door, he heard her voice, which sounded much better. It seemed that she was having sex with Xu Ziyu. Reassured, he went straight to his room.

Just as Xiang Hengxi had expected, Luo Xikui was indeed having sex with Xu Ziyu, and her mood improved a bit, as her attention was completely diverted to Xu Ziyu.

"Tuantuan, you don't look well. Are you too tired from work?" Luo Xikui lay on the bed, looking at his pale face on the iPad screen.

"Really? Maybe it's just the lighting. It's raining here today. How's the weather where you are?" Xu Ziyu casually changed the subject.

"It snowed yesterday, and it's especially cold today." Luo Xikui pursed her lips and said in a low, hoarse voice, "Tuantuan, I miss you."

Although she had sex every day, she longed to see him in person, to touch him, to hold him, to kiss him, and to lean against him.

Xu Ziyu looked at her still swollen and red eyes, and his heart ached. He wanted to be by her side at this time, but he had just undergone surgery again yesterday. Now, let alone returning to China, he couldn't even stand up. He hated his powerlessness.

"I'm talking nonsense again. We've only been apart for three days." Luo Xikui smiled, feeling that she was being too clingy. This wasn't the behavior of a good wife, lest she scare him away before the wedding.

"Silly girl." Xu Ziyu felt a pang of heartache seeing her trying so hard to hold back her tears and even manage a smile. He said softly, "I miss you too."

Luo Xikui felt extremely satisfied when she heard him say those words; he rarely expressed his longing so directly.

She smiled genuinely, then pressed her advantage: "How much do you want to?"

Xu Ziyu's ears turned slightly red, but he did not answer her.

"I miss you so much, I want to hold your hand, I want to lean on your shoulder, I want to see you kiss me, I want to see you that day in our new house..." Luo Xikui said frankly and boldly.

"Luo Xikui, you're spouting nonsense again." Xu Ziyu interrupted her, afraid that she would say something too explicit.

"I didn't mean it, you're just imagining things." Luo Xikui winked and smiled.

Talking to him like that really made me feel better; her little girl was the cure for all her worries.

Xu Zi smiled genuinely when he met her, and didn't mind being teased in return, as long as she was happy.

What he loved most was her smile, which seemed to bring spring back to the earth.

"It's late where you are, go to sleep early. Apply an ice pack to your eyes before bed, so you don't wake up looking like a goldfish tomorrow," Xu Ziyu said softly.

Luo Xikui nodded, gave a few words of advice on work and taking care of her health, and then turned off the TV. As soon as she turned off the TV, she received a call from Cheng Ming, who asked abruptly, "Casey, why didn't you tell me you were coming to Berlin?"
