Chapter 32 Two Worlds

Ni Sitian looked at the bowl of noodles that had been pushed back, pouted, and bit her lip.

Suddenly, her eyes reddened.

She got up in a huff, took the noodles back to the kitchen, and dumped them into the trash can.

Then, fuming, she returned to her seat, lowered her head, and finished her bowl of food.

Then I cleared away the dishes and went to the kitchen to wash them.

Inside the room, it was so quiet that only the sound of running water could be heard.

Ni Sitian was washing the dishes when she sniffed and gritted her teeth: "I'd rather you starve to death."

When she finished washing the dishes and came out, Xu Tingchuan was paying for the takeout.

She saw him hand over two hundred yuan, and the deliveryman said to him with difficulty, "Sir, the total is one hundred and eight yuan. Do you have any change for eight yuan?"

"No." Xu Tingchuan took the takeout container.

"Wait a minute." Ni Sitian went over and took out eight yuan in change from her pocket.

Just as she was about to hand it to the delivery guy, Xu Tingchuan grabbed her hand and said to him, "Keep the change."

As soon as he finished speaking, he slammed the door shut.

Ni Sitian looked at Xu Tingchuan incredulously and condemned his wastefulness: "You have too much money to burn, spending ninety-two on tips."

Xu Tingchuan glanced at her indifferently, then picked up his lunchbox and sat down at the table.

Then he opened his lunchbox and slowly began to enjoy his dinner.

Ni Sitian clenched the eight yuan in her palm, turned around and walked towards the bedroom in a huff.

After taking a shower, she sat on the bed, turned on her computer, and prepared to start writing.

She opened the document, typed a few lines, and then stared blankly at the screen.

She just couldn't understand why Xu Tingchuan had gone crazy; he was perfectly fine before buying the phone.

It's all the phone's fault!

Ni Sitian felt stifled, so she reached out and took the new phone, inserting the new SIM card.

After turning on the phone, Ni Sitian entered several phone numbers she remembered. Only after she finished did she realize that she had not memorized Xu Tingchuan's phone number.

She pursed her lips, reflecting on whether she knew him too little.

Although three months is a short time, if she had cared about someone even a little, she wouldn't be in this state now, not even knowing why he's angry.

"Sigh." Ni Sitian let out a long sigh and scratched her hair in frustration.

Xu Tingchuan walked in, without even glancing at Ni Sitian. He picked up a French original book, leaned back on the left, and started flipping through it.

Ni Sitian hesitated for a moment, then handed the phone to Xu Tingchuan, indicating that he should enter his own number.

But Xu Tingchuan interpreted it as her wanting to return the phone he had bought to him.

His face darkened, and he looked coldly at Ni Sitian.

Ni Sitian was startled by his cold gaze and awkwardly withdrew her hand, silently complaining in her heart that she didn't need to act like this even though she didn't remember his phone number.

Xu Tingchuan turned his gaze back to the book, lowered his eyes slightly, and read attentively.

Ni Sitian glanced at the book; the words on it were like gibberish to her.

She remembered that one day while cleaning the house, she found a box in a drawer. When she opened it, she found it was full of Xu Tingchuan's various certificates.

He not only has various language certificates and finance certificates, but also a doctoral degree from an Ivy League university, and he was only twenty-two years old when he graduated.

Thinking about it carefully, it's no wonder that Ms. Jin Rulan disliked her and secretly arranged for her to pursue a master's degree.

Such an outstanding son, marrying such an ordinary daughter-in-law, must be quite resentful.

She and Xu Tingchuan were from completely different worlds.

If it weren't for that mistaken blind date and her impulsive decision, they would never have had any connection.

Even now, lying in the same bed as him, she still feels like there's an entire Pacific Ocean between them.
