Ni Sitian only managed to get half a day off. After having lunch with Xu Tingchuan, she had to go back to work.
But she couldn't bear to leave him alone in the hospital, so even as she reached the door, she turned back to look at him with some unease.
Seeing how worried she was, Xu Tingchuan waved to her helplessly.
Ni Sitian immediately returned to his bedside, looking obedient and compliant.
"Come closer to your ear," Xu Tingchuan gestured.
Ni Sitian immediately brought her face close to his mouth, and suddenly received a solid kiss from him.
She opened her eyes wide in surprise, her cheeks instantly turning red.
"We can go now." Xu Tingchuan smiled at her after kissing her.
Ni Sitian blushed and glared at him. He had called her back just to give her a kiss.
"Go to work quickly, don't be late." Xu Tingchuan pinched her cheek.
Looking at his smile, Ni Sitian pursed her lips and, as if possessed, leaned down and kissed the corner of his mouth.
The kiss was fleeting; she fled the scene as quickly as she finished.
Xu Tingchuan snapped out of his astonishment and saw her fleeing figure. He raised his hand and touched the warmth and touch she had left on his lips, and a smile involuntarily appeared in his eyes.
After Ni Sitian ran out, her heart was pounding, and she couldn't calm down even after taking several deep breaths.
It wasn't until I got back to the company and started working that I gradually calmed down.
But she was still worried about Xu Tingchuan all afternoon.
As soon as she got off work, she immediately hailed a taxi.

The woman was very tall and dressed in a business suit. She was serving food to Xu Tingchuan.

Ni Sitian clearly sensed the astonishment in Lin Yi'an's eyes, but it only lasted a moment before Lin Yi'an quickly recovered and respectfully bowed to her, saying, "Greetings, Madam."
Ni Sitian was still not used to being treated with such respect by someone so much older than herself, and felt a little flustered and unsure how to respond.
Xu Tingchuan noticed her discomfort and said to Lin Yi'an, "Secretary Lin, you may leave."
Lin Yi'an's gaze swept over Ni Sitian again, then he lowered his eyes to hide the unwillingness in them, and slowly retreated.
Ni Sitian watched her leave, feeling a pang of sadness. She even started to dislike Xu Tingchuan. She sat down without saying a word and didn't look at him.
