Chapter 2 is about black magic
It broke through the air silently, "swoosh--" as fast as a firecracker shooting into the sky.
The thin and short arrow, not even as thick as a chopstick, was brown and yellow in color and disappeared in a flash.
In the blink of an eye, he disappeared into the back of the carriage, leaving no trace.
Tu Xing put down his hand, hid the crossbow, and counted silently, "Three, two... one, scream."
Apart from anything else, whenever he shot an arrow from his crossbow, it would hit a part of the body, usually the torso, and occasionally the limbs.
Then there would be chaos, and he could take advantage of the disorder to get closer.
This time, it concerns the freedom of the rest of my life, and I hint to myself that I must complete it.
Tu Xing waited patiently until the fifth second, but the expected situation did not occur and the vehicle in front continued to move forward normally.
He couldn't help but look surprised and frowned slightly.
"It's clearly the middle window, so is there a hardwood backrest inside?"
At this moment, the vehicles were traveling far away and the front was crowded with people, so the scenery could no longer be seen.
Tu Xing looked back and decided to take a detour from the back of the building. There were fewer people there, so it would be convenient for him to travel quickly.
Not wanting to miss the rare opportunity, the people in front and behind the team were all walking, which meant that their pace would not be too fast.
Tu Xingcai took two quick steps forward, but the touch he felt in his hand made him lower his head in surprise.
He spread out his hand. In order to facilitate carrying, he had to use a specially made extra-small crossbow, which was only slightly larger than his open palm. He remembered to wipe it every two or three days to make sure it was as bright and clean as new.
But now, the surface is covered with old rust spots, the wood, strings, and metal are evenly distributed.
Before I could figure anything out, I suddenly realized that the hand holding the bow was actually aging?!
It was so unbelievable that Tu Xing was so scared that he threw the crossbow away on the spot, his hands shaking constantly.
In my panic, I wasn't sure if I made any sound.
I looked around subconsciously. This was a residential street with only houses. Perhaps everyone was outside watching, and there was no one walking around.
Tu Xing barely managed to calm himself down, swallowed, and raised his hands to confirm.
The lines on the palms are obviously different. The right hand is still the same, but the lines on the left hand are very deep.
Turning his hands over, the skin on his left hand looked like that of a man in his fifties.
Tu Xing's eyes widened in horror, "What... is going on?!"
He looked at the crossbow as if he were seeing a snake or scorpion, then he calmed down and thought about it, and found some obvious clues.
——This crossbow has been used for almost two years, so it’s definitely not a problem with the materials.
Even if the contact person had poisoned him while he was sleeping, he had never heard of a drug that could make a person age instantly.
In fact, it would be very easy for the old man to kill himself without any drugs.
So the problem lies in the fact that "he once shot an arrow at the Sultan".
Tu Xing felt incredible, "No way?!"
Although it was his closest guess, it was clearly beyond his understanding.
Tu Xing stared at the rusty crossbow on the ground, which lay motionless after falling on the weeds.
After hesitating for half a second, he took out a piece of cloth, squatted down and wrapped it tightly with the cloth, then wrapped it twice with a rope and threw it into the backpack.
He identified the direction and hurried on his way.
He came here from afar, his target is Sudan. The aging of his hands is also caused by him, so he has to follow him and see what happens. Retreating is not his character.
However, this time, remember to stay away and not act rashly.
The more uncertain Tu Xing was, the calmer he became. He glanced out between the gaps between buildings to confirm the team's location.
Fortunately, he didn't waste much time and moved quickly enough to catch up with the crowd by following their path.
Tu Xing wiped the sweat from his palms and observed the people in the team, looking for the one with a face that looked easy to talk to, preferably a girl, as she was more likely to have an unexpected surprise.
They all wore wide robes and tall hats, with their hair tucked inside, which obviously made identification more difficult.
After five or six minutes, the young man noticed that the team was gradually slowing down and was obviously stopping slowly at the destination. He couldn't help but look to the left and right sides of the place.
I didn't see anything special, I just knew that the building's exterior and the residents' clothes were more shabby than those in the place I was in just now.
Tu Xing took a deep, calming breath and found a girl who looked easy to talk to among the people closest to him.
He stood beside the people, staring straight ahead, gossiping and speaking with a pitiful tone: "Is this the one that Your Majesty has his eyes on?"
The girl's entire body was covered in clothes except for her face. Her face was covered in dust and looked very dirty. From her eyebrows and eyes, one could tell that she was very young, in her early twenties.
She replied without hesitation: "Yes."
"It's not her striking looks. I've seen Zainab before. She's just well-proportioned. She wraps herself up like me every time she goes out. She has a husband, so I don't know why..."
As she spoke, she glanced sideways at the person and was about to look forward to continue expressing her feelings, but the image left by her eyes made her immediately pull her gaze back and stare at the person's face.
"Hey? You look unfamiliar!"
Tu Xing pointed to the back of the team and said, "I followed you from over there. I don't hang out often, so I've never seen you before. Would you like to get acquainted?"
The young woman blinked, then scratched her head, perhaps because the young man's attitude was too natural.
"Oh—my name is Amina, what's yours?"
Tu Xing wanted to give a common nickname, but the pronunciation didn't sound right to him, and he couldn't come up with anything else that sounded decent. Finally, he whispered, "Xi Li."
It was so soft that Amina could hardly hear it clearly. A look of intense thought flashed in her eyes, and she asked for confirmation: "Cyril?"
Tu Xing nodded without hesitation, "Yes."
Amina: "It's a nice name, and I think your facial hair is pretty good, but your beard is unshaven and your hair is messy. Are you trying to look ugly on purpose?"
Hearing this, Tu Xing said without thinking, "Yes, I'm afraid that it will happen to me one day, so I came to check the situation."
In fact, pretending to be ugly is his survival instinct, which started from childhood, and it can avoid a lot of trouble.
It is also very convenient when applied to actual tasks. After all, few people are harsh on a man's appearance. Most people will just stay away from him even if they are disgusted, making it easier for him to hide in the crowd.
Amina sighed. After confirming Tu Xing's identity, she relaxed a little and whispered:
"The current emperor is much more brutal than the previous one, arresting people at will."
Tu Xing looked around at the people around him, all about a meter away, trying to figure out how to get as much information as possible.
He whispered, "There's nothing we can do about it."
Amina: "Yes, it is rumored that His Majesty's ascension to the throne is related to black magic."
Tu Xing's ears moved and his eyes moved rapidly, and he quickly lowered his eyes to hide his strange look.
He lowered his head and observed his hands secretly. They looked extremely old, but his wrists were young.
Magic? Isn't this something imaginary? How can it be projected into reality?
Almost immediately, it was determined that aging was related to this black magic. Are there any other sequelae?
The unknown makes Tu Xing panic. Is there any chance of recovery?
Amina was oblivious to the young man's intense thoughts and continued speaking as usual:
"Since Your Majesty ascended the throne, whenever there has been friction with other countries, whenever you send troops, you are invincible, and your territory is constantly expanding."
