Chapter 9 The Eerie Aura in the Garden

He also likes little girls.

I like it very much.

Madam Ji's eyes reddened even more. She knelt down and hugged both children tightly.

"We are family for life, and we will always be together." Mrs. Ji's voice choked with emotion. "And don't worry, Qiqi, Daddy has plenty of money. You can afford to eat as much as you want, so eat without worry!"

"Really?" Qiqi looked at Madam Ji with sparkling eyes.

So no matter how much she eats, she doesn't have to worry about it being returned?!

"Of course it's true." Madam Ji gently pinched the little chubby cheeks of her daughter and took her hand. "Come on, Mommy will take you to eat now."

"Thank you, Mom." Qiqi looked up, gave Madam Ji a soft smile, and bent down to pick up the doll from the floor.

She dared not leave the cursed doll lying around anymore; she had to keep it close to her body.

That way, if she goes and harms someone, I'll know.

Qiqi's smile softened Madam Ji's heart. She took her daughter's hand and gently squeezed it; her daughter's hand was as soft as she was.

It felt like there were calluses on my palms. Considering that Qiqi had just said she was going to wash the dishes, I guessed that they were probably from helping out at the orphanage.

Thinking of this, Madam Ji felt even more distressed and led Qiqi to walk faster.

She secretly decided that she would treat Qiqi better from now on and spoil her into the happiest little princess in the world.

Noticing footsteps following behind, Madam Ji quietly turned around and saw that her youngest son had actually caught up with her. She couldn't help but feel a little excited.

You see, ever since the old lady came to visit her grandsons once and served food to Xiaoqian during the meal, which made Xiaoqian very angry, Xiaoqian has refused to eat with them anymore and always has the maids deliver the food to his room.

But now, because of Qiqi, he is actually willing to leave his room.

Madam Ji suppressed her emotions and walked ahead with Qiqi in her hand.

As the group walked to the elevator, they ran into Ji Chengfeng, who was coming up in the elevator.

Upon seeing Madam Ji and Qi Qi, she immediately smiled: "I was just about to call you for dinner, perfect timing, let's eat together..."

As he spoke, he walked to Qiqi's side and reached out to take her other hand. Then he saw his youngest son, who was behind Madam Ji and being blocked by her. He immediately stared wide-eyed in disbelief and looked at his wife questioningly.

Seeing his dumbfounded and completely stunned expression, Madam Ji was both amused and disgusted: "What's wrong? You're not happy that your son is eating with us?!"

He claims to be a domineering CEO outside, but he's so unreliable in front of his daughter. She dislikes him and won't speak up for him.

"How could that be? Of course I'm happy!" The tall man, over six feet tall, choked up a little.

His son was willing to leave his room, something he had never dared to dream of before.

All of this is thanks to Qiqi.

They've adopted a lucky star into their home!

The couple, each holding one of Qiqi's hands, entered the elevator.

They also wanted to hold their youngest son's hand, but they refrained from doing so.

She was afraid of scaring her youngest son and ruining the hard-won turning point.

The family of four took the elevator down to the restaurant, where the maid had already set out lunch.

The table was laden with meat, the braised lion's head meatballs were thick and juicy, the steamed sea bass was fresh and fragrant, and there were many other dishes that Qiqi couldn't even name. Her mouth was watering just looking at them.

Madam Ji gently picked her up and placed her in the child seat that Ji Chengfeng had just sent over.

Ji Chengfeng placed the plate and chopsticks he had prepared especially for her in front of her, while Ji Zeqian placed a clumsy-peeled shrimp on the plate in front of her.

"Eat." Ji Zeqian stared at her intently.

There seemed to be some anticipation in Mumu's eyes.

Qiqi obligingly popped a large shrimp into her mouth, filling her cheeks with its plumpness, making her look like a little hamster, which softened everyone's hearts even more.

She squinted her eyes happily and mumbled to Ji Zeqian, "Brother Lu, this is so delicious."

Ji Zeqian's lips twitched stiffly, seemingly pleased that Qiqi liked it.

Seeing this, Ji Chengfeng and his wife grew even more fond of Qiqi.

He was already a lovable child, and now he has even helped their youngest son improve. They simply don't know how to thank him enough.

"Qiqi, the dean said you like to eat meat, so eat more. All the meat here is for Qiqi." Madam Ji gently placed a piece of pork rib on her plate.

"Thank you, Mom." Qiqi didn't have time to say anything, swallowed the shrimp, and quickly picked up a spare rib and took a bite.

The sweet and sour pork ribs were stewed until tender and flavorful. Each bite released a burst of broth in the mouth, and Qiqi's eyes widened in surprise. The meat was indeed delicious.

Before long, most of the meat on the table was gone.

Qiqi's originally flat belly has become completely swollen.

A happy smile graced her lips as she slumped back in her chair. The headmaster was right; going home with Mom and Dad meant she could finally eat her fill of meat.

However, looking at the empty plates on the table, Qiqi was still a little embarrassed: "Mom, did I eat too much?"

"No." Although the dean had told her that Qiqi could eat a lot, she was still a little surprised and worried to see her actually eat so much.

It's not that I'm worried about her eating too much, but I'm worried about whether her tummy can handle it.

"Being able to eat is a blessing. Qiqi is our family's little lucky star." Madam Ji gently wiped the grease from her mouth. "Qiqi, are you full? Would you like some more?"

Qiqi shook her head, patted her round belly, and let out a satisfied burp: "No more, I'm full." She paused, then said seriously, "This time I'm really full!"

She was clearly still bothered by the fact that she had lied upstairs and said she was full, but her stomach was growling with hunger, and she was afraid that her mother would be angry.

"It's good that you're full." Madam Ji felt a pang of sadness. The little girl was so well-behaved and sensitive. She would have to treat her even better in the future so that she could adapt as soon as possible.

"Ha..." Feeling sleepy after eating, Qiqi yawned widely, and a few tears welled up in the corners of her eyes.

Mrs. Ji's heart softened, and she reached out to lift her from the child seat, saying gently, "Qiqi, are you sleepy? But you just ate so much, if you sleep now, your tummy will feel uncomfortable later. How about Mommy takes you for a walk in the garden?"

Qiqi's eyes crinkled into a smile, and she nodded: "Okay."

Madam Ji led Qiqi towards the back garden, while Ji Chengfeng hurriedly arranged for people to decorate Qiqi's bedroom.

The items have all been delivered, but they still need to be tidied up and arranged a bit more.

The Ji family's back garden is very famous in the entire aristocratic circle of Beijing.

As soon as she entered, Qiqi smelled a rich floral fragrance, along with a faint... yin energy.
