Chapter 76 Escape Room

Shi Xing couldn't help but laugh; this guy was acting like a fool.

This theme tells the story of a happy family that eventually falls apart and everyone dies.

Since the murder that occurred, ghost stories have started to appear in this place.

No one dared to live in the house, which greatly troubled the landlord. The two women were detectives hired by the landlord, and their mission was to uncover the truth and restore the house to normal.

Under the dim incandescent light, the scene was strangely arranged, with bloodstains scattered throughout what was once a cozy home.

Colorful crayon drawings of a family of four are pasted on the wall, and their smiles are terrifying.

The two stood in the living room, searching for the password to the door that led them out, based on the clues.

Although Jiang Xunzhi was scared, she also immersed herself in the experience, carefully searching for clues, and finally found two dry cell batteries in the corner.

He held the batteries up happily and placed them in front of Shi Xing, saying, "Look, my dear sister, here are batteries. You can put them in the remote control to turn on the TV."

"sharp!"

Shi Xing praised him, and then he put the remote control back together and turned on the TV.

The old-fashioned CRT television made two beeping sounds, flashed a screen full of static, and finally displayed a string of blood-red numbers.

They tried the number in two locked places and finally opened a lock on the wall, which then opened a hidden door in the wall.

I thought it would be the exit, but it turned out to be just a space the size of a wardrobe.

A thick iron chain hung on the wall, and on the ground lay a blood-soaked tree stump, the rich blood color seemingly seeping deep into its depths, with a rusty iron axe deeply embedded within it.

Under the red lights, this place is bloody and terrifying.

Jiang Xunzhi was a little timid, but she still mustered up the courage to search around inside and finally saw the numbers written on the wall.

Based on the string of numbers and the numbers found in the crayon drawing, the two of them finally figured out the password to open the drawer by adding and subtracting numbers.

Shi Xing sighed, "There are quite a few passwords required."

“Exactly, we need to find the password for everything,” Jiang Xunzhi said, opening the drawer.

As soon as the drawer was opened, the light started crackling and then dimmed a few degrees. Jiang Xunzhi was startled and instinctively shielded Shi Xing behind him.

Shi Xing patted him and took out a note from the drawer, which indicated that there would be a flashlight at the end of the corridor.

With a snap, the already dim lights went out, leaving no light at all.

The TV, which was working fine, short-circuited and went black with a beep.

She planned to go outside to find a flashlight, but Jiang Xunzhi pressed her behind the TV.

"I'll go find it, sister, you wait for me here."

With that, he opened the previously locked living room door and disappeared into the pitch-black corridor.

Shi Xing leaned lazily against the wall, waiting for him to return.

After a while, the sound of running could be heard in the corridor, as if two people were chasing each other.

Shi Xing stood up and groped to open the living room door. The footsteps grew closer, and a beam of white light shone in. Jiang Xunzhi ran into the house and slammed the door shut.

Under the light of the flashlight, his face was slightly pale, and his breathing was slightly rapid due to running.

It seemed that there were NPCs chasing him outside. Shi Xing grabbed him and gently patted the back of his hand: "Don't be afraid, I'm with you."

He calmed down, his complexion improving considerably: "He dropped a key; it should be for another door. Let's go out."

As soon as he finished speaking, a series of loud banging sounds came from outside the door, as if they were about to force the door open.

Both of them were startled by the sudden banging on the door.

They quickly went to another door, inserted the key, and the tightly closed door was finally opened.

They went inside and closed the door, but the people outside broke in. The sound of a sharp object being dragged on the floor in the living room was very close, as if they were about to reach their door.

Shi Xing looked around and, under the flashlight, realized that this was a toilet. There were bloodstains on the shower curtain and the washbasin was full of cockroaches.

With so many cockroaches, there must be something inside.

As she was thinking this, Jiang Xunzhi also realized this, and without saying a word, he reached in and began to explore.

There was another loud banging on the door, this time it was their door.

Caught up in the terrifying atmosphere, Tokiyuki couldn't help but feel tense.

At this moment, Jiang Xunzhi pulled out another key from a pile of cockroaches. This time, the exit was very conspicuous, right under the sink. A small door, about half a person's height, was right in front of him, hard to miss.

Jiang Xunzhi opened the door and made way for her.

"Sister, you go first, I'll follow behind you."

Shi Xing nodded and climbed in first.

The room was too low, so they had to stoop and move forward slowly, especially since the two of them were not short, making it even more difficult for them to walk.

After finally reaching the end, it turned out to be exactly the same as the restroom from before. After coming out, there was another gray room, decorated the same as the living room from before.

The living room was at least somewhat normal before, but this one is completely dilapidated.

Under the red light, the walls were covered in bloodstains, and the floor was covered with drag marks and bloody handprints.

Jiang Xunzhi grasped Shi Xing's hand and stood in the relatively clean area; the rest of the area was completely red, making it virtually impossible to find a place to step.

After looking around with disdain, the two resumed their search for clues. With their newfound experience, they quickly arrived at the older sister's room.

The room was fairly clean, with nothing strange about it, and the decorations were quite childlike, but her diary was filled with entries about death.

At first, it was normal. It documented her and her brother's life and mentioned that their mother had left a few years ago, leaving her and her brother to live with their father.

The reason the mother left was that the father loved to drink, and he would beat people every time he came home drunk.

She and her mother were constantly beaten. A year after giving birth to her younger brother, her mother could no longer bear it and quietly left.
