Chapter 17 About Teleportation
"So, where is Yokohama?"
A man with long, fluffy white hair like a sheep looked down and asked the blond child who was much shorter than him.
Sinclair, standing beside him, heard this weighty statement.
"Huh?"
Sinclair stared in disbelief at the man the manager had sent to accompany him.
"Weren't you punished for leaving the company without permission?"
"I was just following Angelica, not going on a trip."
What is this kid so surprised about? Even the supervisor might not know where Yokohama is.
"Brother," Angelica, who had been waiting at the corner, stopped the two.
Unlike her brother's curly hair, the younger sister has perfectly straight hair.
"This is what my supervisor asked me to give to you," she said, taking out a small blue square device.
"The supervisor said that once we pick up Yin, we'll use the device. It's already set up for one-way transmission, so it can directly return to the company and teleport her back. The two of you can come back on your own."
“If Sinclair dies, bring his body back.”
After leaving behind some horrifying words, Angelica, who was on duty in the R&D department that night, left.
“Then let’s go, Mr. Algaria.”
The scythe in Algaria's hand gleamed coldly, and Sinclair suddenly realized something.
"Mr. Algaria, this cannot be taken openly!"
The police will detain them both immediately!
"Just stuff it in," the man said, taking a leather bag off the wall. The sickle was wrapped inside the bag in a small package. It was a dimensional bag, and it seemed to be the one the supervisor had left last time.
“Oh,” Sinclair was taken aback when he saw that the Dimensional Bag was casually picked up. Was such an expensive item just left lying around?
The manager seems to have a lot of money this time? Is this the source of his confidence in controlling the Lobotomy Corporation branch?
Moreover, he's so busy. It's supposed to be after get off work, but he's busy again because of his and Ms. Ryoshu's arrival.
A tall, red-haired woman walked towards us, puffing on a cigarette. Beside her stood an equally tall, blue-haired young man, holding a white porcelain cup.
The two were talking when the red-haired woman suddenly frowned upon seeing them.
Her tone was somewhat impatient: "Why are you still here, dawdling around like this?"
"Don't think that just because your supervisor likes you, you can slack off."
If X hadn't stopped him, he would have been punished lightly for violating company rules by simply moving boxes. There's no way he'd get away with such a good thing.
"Minister Geburah."
The Crimson Mist, hailed as the strongest finisher, is their Minister of Punishment.
Algaria nodded to the two of them, then pulled the still somewhat bewildered blond boy away.
"Is that child one of the people Angela was talking about?"
The blue-haired youth took a sip of his coffee, watched the blond boy being roughly dragged away, and asked Carly beside him.
Who knows?
The woman, smoking a cigarette, mumbled a reply.
As soon as the two left the yard, Sinclair's cell phone vibrated; it was the one the organization had assigned to him.
Caller: Curaçao
As the blond boy and the white-haired man walked, he answered the phone:
“Miss Curaçao? You have…”
Before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted by the other party.
Where are you now? Are you still in Yokohama?
"I'm still in Tokyo, I'll be going back soon."
"Don't go to Yokohama. Go to the nearest base to you first. We'll talk about the rest when I get there..."
Sinclair also interrupted the other person.
“Miss Curaçao, I have to go to Yokohama, and also, Barbara and I…”
No, Ms. Ryoshu and I are resigning!
After a beep, the call was disconnected.
The woman with heterochromatic eyes like a Persian cat stared at her phone after it had been hung up, the explosive remarks from the English whisky still faintly echoing in her ears.
Resignation? Their organization?
"How's it going? Have you made contact?" Rum asked impatiently, looking at the stagnant Curaçao.
"England says he and Barbaresco are resigning."
Curaçao instinctively answered her boss's question.
The middle-aged man rubbed his ears again. Could it be that he was really getting old? Why was he hearing such absurd and unbelievable things all day?
He asked, "What are England and Barbaresco up to?"
"I want to resign."
Who wants to resign?
"England and Barbaresco."
Curaçao looked at her boss with some concern. Was Lord Rum going to get dementia?
Rum propped his head up in his hand, sat in the chair, and fell into deep thought.
“The contact team, English Whiskey and Barbaresco have betrayed us.”
"Seeing them means they can take action immediately."
He thought for a moment and then added a requirement: "Try to catch them alive."
"leader!"
The colonel, who had just left, was somewhat out of sorts, looking extremely rushed, as if his backside had been burned.
The old man remained seated in his wheelchair, gazing out at the inner bay. He was extremely displeased by the noise he heard. Had it not been for the colonel's weapon being so readily available, he would have immediately made him pay the price for offending him.
"English whisky is back!"
"Go back..."
The old man, still angry, suddenly heard the news and tried to stand up as before, but was carefully stopped by Mori Ougai, who had not left.
He could only sit in a wheelchair and shout loudly, "Quick, bring him to me!"
"Go and bring that little girl over here."
Clearly, this wasn't addressed to the colonel, so it only applies to himself.
Mori Ougai sighed inwardly. The weakness of the Englishman was too obvious. It was clear that he had come back for the silver.
"Yes, sir."
After bowing, the doctor was about to leave when the leader called him back after he had only taken two steps.
"Bring the kid you brought here, you stay here."
"Excuse me."
Mori Ougai turned to the phone next to the colonel and dialed his office number.
In the doctor's office, Osamu Dazai was playing a game with Gin Akutagawa when the phone kept ringing.
"Didn't Mr. Mori already go to the chief's place?"
Mori Ougai's identity is the leader's personal physician, and apart from the members of those two foreign organizations, almost no one would use Mori Ougai.
"Moshi Moshi? May I ask who this is?"
"Dazai-kun, it's me."
"Mr. Mori? Is there something you need?"
"Dazai-kun, bring Gin to the chief's office now."
After saying that, Mori Ōgai hung up the phone, leaving Dazai Osamu no room for further questions.
The boy with iris-colored curly hair held the microphone that had been unilaterally cut off, thought for a moment, clapped his hands together, and announced his decision.
"Gin-chan, let's run!"
The girl, whose face had become a little chubby, looked at the boy with a puzzled expression and asked:
"What happened, Mr. Dazai?"
"Yes, Mr. Mori said that Ryunosuke misses you a lot in Tokyo, so Miss Barbaresco or Mr. England will come to pick you up."
"So, we need to wait outside first."
The girl with long black hair didn't seem to have the same acting skills as the boy who grew up.
She and her brother had always made a living on Leibo Street. If they hadn't been aware of any danger, they would have died countless times over.
But she could only go along with the young man in front of her. Something had clearly gone wrong with Dr. Mori, and her backers, the two guardians codenamed after alcohol, were no longer there.
The doctor's office was in the middle of the building, and they couldn't go down by the window. Taking the elevator was also a dead end, so they had to take the stairs.
With a sharp crack, the glass shattered from the outside.
A tall, white-haired man, holding a huge scythe in one hand and clinging to the window frame with the other, asked leisurely:
Is Yin here?
Neither Dazai nor Gin had ever seen this strange man before.
Algaria jumped into the office, a faint smile still on her face, and asked again, "Is Silver here?"
The pale blue eyes looked at the only black-haired girl who matched the target, urging her to answer his question.
"Who are you?"
Another person who shouldn't exist has been added to the list. Dazai Osamu looked at this man who was not mentioned at all in the "book".
He gradually pulled the silver behind him.
Algaria's upturned lips gradually widened, making him look increasingly unlike a good person.
At that moment, a faint, familiar sound came from outside the building.
“Mr. Algaria, help me up, I can’t get up.”
Dazai Osamu recognized the voice as belonging to England Whiskey, and he subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief; it seemed the two had come together.
He saw the white-haired man walk to the window and, like pulling up a mushroom, pull up a champagne-colored mushroom.
Sinclair was put on the ground, and after recognizing the people in the room, he asked, "Where is Dr. Sen?"
"He's with the chief."
Having heard the answer, the blond boy looked at his companion: "Mr. Algaria, the teleportation device."
He urged the white-haired man in a low voice to complete the task, as the lower-ranking members below were already surging forward.
Algaria threw the device his sister had given him toward the other side. The device detected the target mission, emitted a glowing blue light, and moved toward Akutagawa Gin.
Upon seeing this object, which resembled a crystal of supernatural power or a creation, Dazai Osamu instinctively reached out to catch it.
Unexpectedly, the cube did not disappear, but instead surrounded him and Akutagawa Gin behind him. After the chaotic light, they appeared together in an unfamiliar place.
With a spoon still in his mouth, X watched helplessly as two teenagers landed on his dining table.
Is there something wrong with this landing point? And why is there an extra one? Wasn't it supposed to be just one girl?
X is currently having dinner with his ministers, specifically the two young ministers from the central headquarters.
When this happened out of the blue, X almost choked on what was in his mouth. Should he be thankful that the two kids didn't fall directly into the plate?
As Dazai Osamu recovered from the dizziness, he saw a pair of emotionless golden eyes staring at him and Gin as if they were two inanimate objects.
This drew his attention to the eyes, causing him to completely ignore the spoon that the eyes' owner had in their mouth.
