Chapter 268 Witch God Festival (5) Private meeting?

She carried this responsibility and followed the rules from childhood to adulthood, always striving to do everything perfectly.

After she turned eight, it was discovered that she could communicate with spirits and monsters, and she was even labeled as a god.

Any deviation or imperfection will be punished.

"From childhood to adulthood, the thing I've done the most in my life is dancing, and the only person who can talk to me is Acha..."

Riki Ninomiya looked at Acha tenderly, but a hint of sadness lingered around her. "I don't want to be the wife of a god, nor do I want to be a high and mighty priestess or a divine child. If I could, I would only want to be an ordinary woman, free and at ease with the person I love..."

"But I can't. I carry the hopes of my family and Ibaraki on my shoulders. For these, I must become a priestess..."

After a moment of silence, Su Deng leaned back and lay down on the grass, gazing at the sky. "Is it worth risking my entire life for the hope of my family, for a god whose very existence is unknown?"

"The eldest daughter of the Jinomiya family, Miss Jinomiya, that's what everyone calls me, but no one dislikes it more than I do, but..."

But what can you do if you don't like it?

That was a responsibility she was born with.

Riki Ninomiya looked down at Sudora, her eyes gentle yet firm. "So, Haruko, I'm sorry, I will definitely become a shrine maiden, I must become a shrine maiden!"

Su Deng lay on the grass with her hands behind her head, enjoying the cool evening breeze and watching the sky darken. She spoke slowly, "Then why did you tell me to run away just now?"

After a moment of silence, Jijimiya Rihime said, "Haruko, being a shrine maiden is not a good thing."

Su Deng didn't say anything more. He picked a blade of grass from the side and put it in his mouth. He pulled up his leg that was hanging down the cliff and bent it up, with one leg crossed over the knee of the other. He swung his leg around, looking as carefree as could be.

Riki Tsunomiya looked at her and said, "If you get caught doing this by Tsukasa and Ms. Keiko, you'll be punished and beaten."

"So what if I get hit?" Su Deng said nonchalantly, swinging her legs even more freely, "We'll talk about getting hit when I'm about to get hit. I'm happy and free right now."

Riki Ninomiya paused, then asked, "Are you happy and free now...?"

"Of course." Su Deng put her legs down, turned to her side, and propped her head up with one hand, lying on her side facing her.

"But……"

"This isn't class time, why should we be so self-disciplined and polite?"

Su Deng laughed with a carefree and wicked air, "Once I become a priestess, I'll have to behave myself every day. For now, I can indulge myself to the fullest."

Riki Tsunomiya opened her mouth, then pursed her lips. "I won't lose."

Su Deng: "Oh."

Riki Cinomiya: "..."

The two fell silent, and even Acha seemed to have fallen asleep in Tsunomiya Riki's arms, the atmosphere around them quiet and still.

It was a little awkward.

After sitting for a while, Riki Tsunomiya got up and continued dancing.

Acha, who had just woken up, lay down next to Su Deng and meowed.

Su Deng patted its head and asked Tsunomiya Riki, "Can your cat fly?"

Riki Ninomiya paused, then chuckled, "It's not a monster."

Su Deng looked down at the well-behaved and quiet Acha and chuckled softly.

Riki Tsunomiya continued dancing until the moon was high in the sky.

In the distance, towns and forests were dotted with lights, and even the shrines on the high mountains were lit up, looking like fireflies from the foot of the mountain to the top.

Dreamlike and enchanting.

"Chunzi!" Momoko ran up from the house a hundred meters away. "I knew you'd be here! What are you doing here again!"

Su Deng, who was still lying down, turned her head to look at her. "What's wrong?"

Momoko glanced at Riki Tsunomiya beside her, hummed something, and pulled her down the mountain, saying, "People are practicing dancing here, what are you doing here?"

Su Deng found it amusing and didn't forget to greet Tsunomiya Riki, "I'll come see you again tomorrow."

"What are you looking for?" Peach snorted again and pulled her away.

Riki Tsunomiya looked at them with a complicated expression.

Su Deng and Taozi had just walked into the courtyard when they saw something white flying through the air.

"Snow?" Su Deng subconsciously reached out and caught a snowflake, then paused in surprise. "It's snowing?"

"It's summer, how could it possibly snow? Are you delirious from your illness, or have you been bewitched by that second prince...?"

"Peach, it really is snow."

Su Deng interrupted Taozi and gestured for her to look up.

White snowflakes drifted down one by one, swirling and dancing in the air like goose feathers.

Peach's eyes widened in astonishment. "It's really snowing!!"

But it's summer, how could it possibly snow?

"Meow!"

Just then, a cat's mournful cry came from the back mountain.

"Acha?" Su Deng's expression changed slightly, and she turned and ran up the mountain.

"Chunzi, where are you going!" Momoko quickly chased after her.

Back mountain.

Just as Tsunomiya Riki was about to take Acha back to rest, a sudden downpour of snow began. In her stunned silence, she saw Acha stretching out her limbs, screaming menacingly at the edge of the cliff.

His hair stood on end, and he was full of hostility.

Just as Riki Tsunomiya was about to go over, she saw a hand suddenly reach up from below the cliff, clinging to the edge, its hand covered in terrifying blue patterns.

"Meow!!"

Acha's cries grew even more piercing.

Riki Tsunomiya was also startled and stepped forward to hug Acha and back away.

The hand that climbed up from the edge belonged to a man dressed in tattered and disheveled clothes.

The two exposed arms were covered with strange bluish-purple patterns, resembling bulging veins that looked particularly terrifying.

Beneath his disheveled hair, his face was covered in grime, except for a pair of black eyes that shone brightly in the moonlight.
