“Bears are omnivores. They mainly eat plant seeds and fruits, as well as small wild animals, so their main plant habitat is deep in the mountains.”
Wang Tianxiao thought of something and then laughed, "Besides, although bears are very fierce and are almost at the top of the food chain in this forest, they are still far inferior to humans."
"How can we humans possibly defeat a bear?"
"Because humans are smarter than bears, if you're not smart enough, being strong is meaningless. That's why even though bears are so powerful, they can only live in the mountains, while we humans, who seem weak, live outside."
"Oh," Wang Tiancheng said thoughtfully.
The moonlight spilled onto the forest floor, casting long shadows of the two brothers. They chatted and laughed, and before they knew it, it was already late at night.
"Meow!"
Suddenly, a piercing scream echoed through the forest.
Both of them were startled.
Wang Tiancheng suddenly grabbed his brother's sleeve from behind and asked nervously, "How could there be a cat in the forest?"
"It's not a cat. Wild cats can't possibly survive in the forest."
"But it was clearly a cat meowing just now."
Wang Tianxiao gestured for his younger brother to lower his voice and explained, "There are many animals that sound like wildcats, for example..."
"Ah, brother, you mean the leopard?!"
Wang Tiancheng shrank back, looking even more nervous. He slipped out from behind the tree and sat down next to his brother, constantly looking around at his surroundings.
Surrounded by all sorts of trees, and below them by wild grasses and shrubs that were not afraid of the cold, he felt that the leopard could pounce out from any angle.
Wang Tianxiao nodded, his palms slightly sweaty.
