Afu and Ashou rushed in. A flash of white light appeared in Lin Ruo's eyes, and they were put into her space. Then she used her water-based powers to extinguish all the fireplaces in the fortress. Immediately, a lot of white smoke billowed from the chimneys above the fortress, and the temperature inside the fortress began to drop rapidly.
The temperature inside the room dropped to -30 degrees Celsius and then stopped falling. Lin Ruo looked at the thermometer, and the temperature on it had begun to rise rapidly. She raised her eyes slightly; extreme heat had begun.
The temperature on the thermometer was rising rapidly: -10 degrees Celsius, zero degrees Celsius, 10 degrees Celsius, 20 degrees Celsius... Lin Ruo began to take off her thick clothes one by one.

Turn on the air conditioner at home, and fill large basins in various corners of the fortress with solid ice. Place air conditioner fans next to it and let them blow. The temperature in the fortress began to drop, and stopped when it reached 38 degrees Celsius.
It was still very hot indoors. After Lin Ruo deactivated her water-based ability, she was soon covered in sweat in her short-sleeved shirt and shorts. Her shirt was soaked with sweat, and her throat felt dry. She scooped out a cup of lake water from her space and gulped it down, which made her feel much better.
She used her spiritual power to enter the space and saw Afu and Ashou lying by the freshwater pool, stretching out their large claws as if trying to catch the fish inside.
Looking at their thick fur, Lin Ruo frowned. It wouldn't do for Afu and Ashou to leave the space like this.

Afu turned and ran into Lin Ruo's room, where there was a full-length mirror. They looked at their reflections in the mirror, and then silently returned to their own room, becoming withdrawn.
Lin Ruo was helpless. How could she not know that it didn't look good? Afu's silver fur was incredibly handsome, but it was hot. The temperature was over 50 degrees Celsius even at night, and with that fur, the two of them would get heatstroke in no time.
Ashou wasn't as concerned about saving face as Asfu. It glanced at the mirror, didn't take it seriously, and ran to the bedroom. It took out its own bamboo mat and placed it next to the ice basin in the living room, as if it was preparing to make its home there.
Lin Ruo ignored them and went outside to pour more lake water on A Liu outside the door. After only a few minutes outside, her clothes were soaked with sweat again. It was so hot!
She used her water-based supernatural abilities to evaporate the sweat from her body, but found that there was still a layer of sticky salt residue on her skin, which she still needed to wipe off.
A-Liu's willow branch rubbed against Lin Ruo's wrist. It wasn't afraid of the heat, but it still loved water in this kind of weather. Its owner had watered it with so much lake water, and it was very happy.
It was past midnight. Lin Ruo sprinkled insect repellent powder outside the fortress and applied mosquito and fly repellent powder to the outer walls before entering the fortress.
Looking at the wolf-skin curtain hanging on the door and the windows of the fortress, she nodded; there was still quite a lot to do.
She stopped doing that and instead took a shower, turned on the air conditioner, and lay down on the bamboo mat to fall asleep.
