Chapter 24 Afu and Ashou

"This seems to be a tenant from building 3..."

"Looks like they just moved here, and they even brought two pets with them."

...

Lin Ruo glanced at them; several middle-aged women were sitting in the children's playground, chatting while watching the children.

She didn't pay much attention; it wasn't a large quantity of supplies she bought, just some dog supplies, so it wouldn't attract anyone's attention.

She asked someone to help carry her things up to the 25th floor, but she ran into her neighbors from across the hall waiting for the elevator. It was a couple with a boy of about seven years old. The man was dressed in casual clothes, but judging from his posture, he was probably a soldier.

The woman accompanying him also exuded an air of refinement, with a delicate and beautiful face, and a beige long dress that accentuated her graceful figure.

When she saw Lin Ruo, she greeted her with a smile, "Hello, are you the tenant of 2501? We are from 2502. My name is Qian Li, and this is my husband, Li Wei. From now on, we are all neighbors. If you need any help, please feel free to come to us."

Having guessed what the two people were doing, Lin Ruo smiled and nodded in response, "Hello, my name is Lin Ruo, please take care of me in the future."

The elevator arrived shortly after they started chatting. Before Lin Ruo entered, she saw the little boy staring longingly at the two pet backpacks on her body, as if he really wanted them.

She closed the door to block their view before letting the two little ones out.

The two little ones weren't shy at all. After running out of their backpacks, they started sniffing and running around everywhere, seemingly getting familiar with their surroundings.

As they ran, the two met up. The two little guys wrinkled their little noses and whimpered at each other, as if they couldn't stand each other.

The two little ones chased each other and played, biting each other's bottoms with their still-growing baby teeth. Although there was no bleeding, they both bit each other until they cried out.

Lin Ruo smiled slightly. These two even knew not to bite each other's necks. Good. She grabbed the two little ones and said, "From now on, we are a family. You two should get along well."

The two little ones tilted their heads and blinked their big eyes, looking at Lin Ruo with sparkling eyes, seemingly not understanding what Lin Ruo was saying.

"Oh right, I need to give you guys names. What should I call you?" Lin Ruo bit her index finger, racking her brains. Then her eyes lit up, and she said to the sheepdog, "You can be called Ashou."

The sheepdog's round eyes flashed with dissatisfaction as it barked at her, seemingly saying no. But it couldn't speak human language. Lin Ruo simply smiled and patted its fluffy little head. "Resistance denied."

"Ah Shou, Ah Shou—" Lin Ruo called Ah Shou's name several times with a smile in her eyes.

"Woof..." The little guy lay on the ground and gave a weak response. The dog looked extremely unwilling, drooping its head and lying on the floor sulking.

Lin Ruo turned to the somewhat expectant wolfhound and said, "Your name will be Afu."

Afu barked very obediently, seemingly quite satisfied with the name.

"Afu, Afu—"

"Woof woof!" Afu was very happy, circling around Lin Ruo, his big eyes staring straight at her.

Lin Ruo patted the two little ones' heads, smiling warmly, hoping they would enjoy good fortune and longevity.

Lin Ruo took out their toys and played with them for a while before starting to pack up her things.

Looking at the pile of dog supplies in the living room, she only took out the dog food bowl, dryer, dog shampoo, and dog bed and put them on the balcony. She then put everything else into her storage space with a wave of her hand.

The two little ones stared at the suddenly vanished object, their eyes filled with confusion. Where did it go? Gone? The two little ones stumbled over, sniffing around with their little noses, trying to find it.

Lin Ruo patted their heads and put them into the space as well, so that they could get used to the environment. However, by sheer coincidence, she put the two little ones into the breeding area.

Ah Shou and Ah Fu were completely bewildered. Where were they? There were so many unfamiliar things around them. At first, they were a little scared, but with such a large place and so many animals, perhaps their nature was being unleashed, and soon they began to frolic around the space.

The chickens, ducks, and geese in the space were having a hard time. Ashou and Afu didn't dare to mess with the big animals like cattle and sheep, so they only dared to scare the poultry in the space. They kept calling around the small fence of the space, scaring the poultry inside so much that they hid far away from the fence and ran into the small hill and disappeared from sight.

Then the two of them started searching around the fence, calling out as they searched, which frightened the poultry, causing them to scatter everywhere.

Lin Ruo, who was outside, didn't see how badly her future food supply was being bullied. She was very happy and wanted to cook a good meal to reward herself. She took out a set of pots and pans from her space and put them away. Then she sank her consciousness into the space to see how the crops she had planted were growing.

Unexpectedly, seeing the chaotic scene in the space, and the panicked appearance of the poultry, Lin Ruo quickly released Ashou and Afu out of the space, and then filled the automatic feeder in the space with feed. In order to calm them down, she also added water from the lake to their waterers.

Then she saw that they had made many eggs in their nests on the mountain. She picked them out and put them all into the still space. The eggs that couldn't be put in were the ones that could hatch into chicks and ducklings, and the ones that could be put in were the ones that could be eaten. This way, there was no need to sort them, and the efficiency was excellent.

Eggs that cannot be put in are all returned to their original state and left to incubate on their own.

The crops planted in the field are growing well. The black soil seems to be very fertile, and the crops are growing very fast. In just a few days, they have already grown to 20 centimeters tall.

The vegetable garden was lush and green, and many of the vegetables were already ripe to eat. They were still covered with water droplets from the sprinkler, looking very fresh and tender, which was refreshing and pleasant to look at.
