Chapter 67 "The Rice Bowl of Early Death"

Soft lighting illuminated the spacious dining room, where Lin Ruo took two huge pieces of mutated beast meat out of her spatial storage and placed them into Afu and Ashou's food bowls.

Thanks to the rescue team's gift today, she now has a large number of mutated animals in her space, enough for Afu and Ashou to eat for a long time even if they lie down and eat.

It gave her a moment of indecisiveness, as she didn't know which mutated animal to choose to feed Afu and Ashou.

In the end, she chose mutated sika deer for Afu and the others. Ken and the others liked it very much last time, and venison is really nutritious.

He used his spatial blade to cut 50 jin of sika deer meat for each of them, and also put raw eggs and goat milk in them, and put half a watermelon on each one, while Ah Liu happily took one for herself.

She stepped out of the fortress. The temperature difference inside was quite large due to the fireplace. Lin Ruo's face turned red as soon as she came out, so she quickly activated her water-based superpower to resist the cold.

Looking up again, she saw that Afu and Ashou had already buried the foundation and were chasing and playing, making a mess of the ground.

Looking at the frozen soil on the platform, Lin Ruo once again felt fortunate that she had awakened a water-based ability; otherwise, she would be exhausted just from cleaning every day.

"Come on, it's time to take a bath and eat."

Afu and Ashou ran over quickly. Afu stopped in front of Lin Ruo, and Ashou tried to rub against Lin Ruo's hand. Afu knew they were covered in dirt and wouldn't let them get close to Lin Ruo. It slapped Ashou with its big paw to stop it. Ashou didn't want to go, so it suddenly jumped up and ran towards Lin Ruo.

Seeing it covered in dirt, she pushed it away in disgust, saying, "Hurry up and go home, take a bath!"

Afu dragged Ashou back into the fortress. Lin Ruo closed the gate before activating her water-based superpower. Blue light flashed in her eyes, and a huge water sphere enveloped them completely. The water temperature was just right, and the two of them happily rubbed their legs together inside the sphere. After they were washed, Lin Ruo was satisfied.

"Let's go eat."

They couldn't wait to run into the restaurant, followed the smell to their food bowls, and began to eat.

Lin Ruo walked out of the fortress, sprinkled insect repellent powder around the perimeter two meters away, and then went inside.

She closed the heavy gates of the fortress again, keeping the wind and snow out. Using her water-based powers, she opened a window high up, and Ah Liu's willow branches reached in, rolling out her dinner. She wrapped the food with a few strips of paper, and within minutes, it was completely absorbed.

The temperature outside the fortress drops rapidly; during periods of extreme cold, the nighttime temperature can drop to -70 to -80 degrees Celsius.

A thin layer of frost began to condense on the thick glass exterior of the fortress, while fireplaces were lit throughout the house, keeping the temperature a few degrees below zero and very warm.

Lin Ruo first turned on the robot vacuum in the living room, since Afu and Ashou had left many footprints when they came in.

Seeing the robot vacuum cleaning the floor quickly, she went to the bedroom to change into a thick, fleece-lined pajama set, knowing that it's important to dress comfortably at home.

When she came out of the bedroom, Afu and Ashou had already finished eating and were lying by the food bowl licking their big paws. When they saw her come out, Ashou trotted over to follow her.

Lin Ruo thought it was in the way, so she pushed it aside and wouldn't let it follow.

Ignoring Ah Shou's pitiful look, she put on an apron and went into the kitchen to start cooking.

This time, she took out a new tablet with recipes downloaded on it and started trying to make crayfish.

First, take out a box of frozen lobster tails from the still space. When you take them out, each lobster tail is still covered with a thick layer of ice.

She placed her hand on the ice, and a faint blue light flashed. The ice on the lobster melted quickly, leaving only the lobster tail neatly arranged in the box.

Take out the lobster tail, wash it with a water balloon, set it aside, and start preparing the ingredients according to the recipe.

Afu crept over and squatted in the corner of the kitchen to watch Lin Ruo cook. Luckily, Lin Ruo designed each room to be very large, otherwise, with Afu's huge body blocking the way, there would be no room to move in the kitchen now.

"If you're bored, watch TV for a while. I'll brush your teeth after I finish eating."

Lin Ruo went to the living room, turned on the TV, plugged in a portable hard drive with downloaded cartoons, and the TV started playing Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf.

She glanced at the screen full of sheep and nodded to herself. Ah Fu and Ah Shou like to eat sheep, so they should like this cartoon.

Ah Fu only glanced at it a few times before turning away, closing his eyes to rest. Ah Shou, on the other hand, watched with great interest, occasionally running over to the TV and barking at it.

Lin Ruo stopped paying attention to them and went to make crayfish again; she was determined to learn how to cook this dish.

Following the recipe step by step, a spicy and savory aroma soon filled the inside of the fortress, followed shortly by a garlicky fragrance.

To prevent Afu and Ashou from wanting to eat it too, she specially made two flavors: spicy and garlic.

Ah Shou stood behind Lin Ruo, his big head looking over Lin Ruo's head at the pot on the stove, his eyes fixed on the crayfish in the pot, and he made a coquettish sound.

Afu was still lying on the ground. Seeing Ashou like this, he simply covered his eyes with one paw and refused to look at him.

Lin Ruo placed two bowls of crayfish on the dining table, smiling as she pushed Ah Shou's big head away, "Go and fetch the rice bowl over here."

"Woof!"

Ah Shou was happy and ran to fetch the food bowl. When he brought it over, he found that Ah Fu, that bad dog, was already standing in front of Lin Ruo with the food bowl in his hand.

"Woof woof! Clang..."

Ah Shou was indignant and started yelling, which caused his rice bowl to fall to the ground, flattening a large piece of what was once a perfectly round bowl.

Ah Shou looked down at its food bowl in shock, unable to understand why such an unexpected disaster had befallen it, looking utterly devastated.
