"You guessed it right. Coming here today can be considered as fulfilling my promise."
The two men pushed the door open and entered. The person dozing in the store was not the grandfather that Fūya Rei mentioned, but a young man of the same age as them. He woke up instantly after hearing the noise at the door and subconsciously wiped the corners of his mouth twice.
"Welcome, what can I do for you?"
"Please give me the big box of fairy wands, thank you."
"Okay, the large box is 1080 yen. I'll give you a mini discount to make up for the difference."
After paying the bill quickly, Fūya Rei couldn't help but look around. He couldn't help himself and asked:
"Hello, where did the old man who was here go? Is he no longer working?"
"Grandpa?" The young man felt a little strange when he heard this. He crossed his arms over his chest and frowned. "The grandpa you're talking about isn't the one with the mole at the corner of his mouth?"
"Yes, that's him. Excuse me, doesn't he work here anymore?"
"That's my grandfather. He has been dead for twelve years. What do you want to see him about?" The young man's tone was very calm. Perhaps it was because enough time had passed that he couldn't show any grief.
Is he already dead? It's too late after all.
After a few seconds of silence, Furuya Rei raised the corner of his mouth and smiled:
"No, then we'll leave first."
Fujiwara Yu glanced at Furuya Rei's expression, and without saying much, he politely bowed slightly to the young man with a puzzled look on his face and followed him out of the store. He wanted to reach out to comfort Furuya, but he didn't expect that a scream would instantly attract the attention of both of them.
"...How are you, kid? Please don't scare your mother, okay?!"
