"Damn it, they've already tricked me once without saying a word, and now they're playing pranks on me again." Wu Yu complained, a little annoyed, as the dust poured down on his head covered him.
Shaking the sand off his head, Wu Yu desperately needed to find a place to wash up.
The shattering of the light membrane looked impressive, but it didn't hurt Wu Yu, so Wu Yu just took the opportunity to vent his frustration.
The soft daylight shone on Wu Yu, and he was finally able to see the light of day again, but he was still quite a distance away from returning to the ground.

This was the first time Wu Yu had let loose like this since gaining extraordinary power. He felt the explosive power within his body and listened to the beating of every cell. At least his body was truly alive.
"Alas!"
The whole process took less than ten minutes. With a strange cry from Wu Yu, he completed a 720-degree somersault in the air and landed perfectly.
Putting aside his playful thoughts, Wu Yu carefully examined the surroundings.
All that could be seen was scorched earth, with broken walls and ruins everywhere. However, in the far distance, Wu Yu could still see a forest.
A terrible battle must have taken place here.
Could it have been Violet who did it?
This was Wu Yu's first thought; he certainly wouldn't consider Violet a weak mage now.
Wu Yu vividly remembers the system notification that the "dodge" judgment failed before he fell into a coma.
The system is not invincible. Wu Yu realized this after he failed to kill the God of Light in one blow. However, if it were just a contest of skills, Wu Yu couldn't imagine anyone who could rival him. Even the Sword Saint, who was known as the strongest human, was confirmed by Wu Yu with [Insight] to be far inferior to his own swordsmanship.
But it was precisely Wu Yu's supposedly flawless technique that Violet proved to him that he was not invincible.
Even if someone doesn't surpass you, they are at least on par with the off-the-charts attribute values on the panel, enough to cause the system to fail.
The implications are self-evident: Violet is very likely a hidden deity.
"Can't you just tell me what you want to do?" Wu Yu sighed helplessly and walked towards the ruins.
Well, let's first find out where we are.
As Wu Yu approached the ruins, he saw a ground littered with stark white bones. The vast majority of them were giant creatures, but a small portion were humanoid. They remained in combative postures, and even in death, they seemed irreconcilably opposed to each other.
It seems the disaster here wasn't caused by a battle between strong individuals; judging from the death toll, it appears a war had taken place.
Wu Yu fiddled with his rather long hair. He had previously thought that the healing things Violet had given him contained hair-growth properties, but looking at these corpses that had decomposed into bones, Wu Yu dismissed his previous guess.
It seems my hair must have grown naturally, but it would probably take several years to grow to this length.
"This is probably the longest I've ever slept in my life," Wu Yu chuckled self-deprecatingly as he walked toward the largest collapsed building he had seen in the distance.
Colossal pillars as thick as an elephant's leg, exquisitely artistic carvings, and a shattered throne.
Seeing these objects that he had only recently come across in his memory, Wu Yu was quite certain that this was the capital of the Elven race, but it had now become ruins.
The elves must have been defeated, otherwise, even if they abandoned the capital, they would have surely buried their comrades' bodies.
Who exactly attacked them? The Elf Queen herself was an eighth-tier epic, so even with such top-tier combat power, was she still no match for those enemies?
Looking at the skeletons of the monsters around him, Wu Yu vaguely recalled some of the creatures he had seen in the monster encyclopedia.
"Hiss! A demon invasion!" Wu Yu was startled by his own guess. He turned sharply to look at the giant pit he had just climbed out of and shouted.
"What about my enormous ancient tree of life?"
This makes sense. With the destruction of the ancient tree of life used to seal the four extreme regions, all the demons sealed inside naturally escaped.
Is this Violet's purpose? But why did she come with me? She didn't use her power.
