Hearing this, Wu Yu breathed a sigh of relief. He still preferred a life like a salted fish, where he could just eat and wait to die. Why should he suffer and work hard?
Wu Yu glanced back at the ring of fire that had enveloped Layton and his group. The flames had gone out, and after so much peace outside, those guys finally couldn't stand it anymore.
"Let's go," Wu Yu said, leading Violet on their way back.
"Wu Yu, should we go directly to the capital via the teleportation array, or find a place to rest first?" Violet asked.
"No, our troubles are far from over," Wu Yu replied meaningfully.
As soon as Wu Yu returned to the crowd, everyone's eyes were drawn to him. They all seemed a little anxious, as if they might rush over if Wu Yu didn't come soon.
"Wu Yu, how's the situation there?" Layton stepped forward and asked.
"The dragon and the demon are both dead. There is no danger here anymore," Wu Yu replied calmly, without showing any joy.
Everyone visibly breathed a sigh of relief after hearing this, but their gazes remained fixed on Wu Yu; they seemed to be waiting for something.
Wu Yu waited a while, then said to Layton, "Layton, let's go. Time is of the essence, let's continue on our way."
"Oh, okay." Layton nodded, then led Ella toward Wu Yu.
Wu Yu and his group wanted to leave, but the others finally couldn't sit still any longer. They exchanged glances, and one of the two fifth-tier professionals stepped forward. He politely asked, "So, where is the dragon's treasure?"
They finally arrived. Looking at the undisguised greed in their eyes, Wu Yu shrugged and said helplessly, "If I said the dragon had no treasure, would you believe me?"
